Abstract

The research objectives of the Physics learning module based guided inquiry models on the material of  Suhu dan Kalor (Temperature and Heat)for class X SMA: (1) knowing the characteristics of the physics module based guide inquiry on the material of suhu dan kalor (temperature and heat); (2) testing the feasibility of the Physics module based on guided inquiry at the material of suhu dan kalor (temperature and heat). The design of this research is ADDIE development wich is developed by Dick and Carry (1996), which includes: Analyze  (Analisis), Design (Design), Develop (Development), Implemen (Application), and Evaluate (Evaluation). The research instrument uses a feasibility questionnaire sheet. Data analysis was carried out by means of a feasibility test by the learning experts. Based on the data analysis, the results showed: (1) Physisc module products based on the guided inquiry were developed based on guided inquiry activities, based on the assesment of the instructional experts on the characteristics of guided inquiry modules in the “very feasibel” category with a percentage of eligibility of 92,6%; (2) the feasibility of the Physics module based guide inquiry on the material of suhu dan kalor(temperature and heat), it is based on the assessment of learning experts in the category of “very feasibel” with the percentage of feasibility of 91,6%; (3) The practicilaty of physice module based guide inquiry on the material of suhu dan kalor (temperatire and heat) based on the assesment of class X Students of SMA PAB 4 Sampali in the “very practical“ category with apa feasibility percent of 90,3%. So, it can be concluded that the Physics learning module based on the guided inquiry model is very valid to be used in the learning process.

Abstract

The development of science and technology in the 21st century necessitates strong scientific literacy among students, yet Indonesian students' PISA scores in this area remain low. Conventional physics teaching materials often lack interactivity and fail to engage students actively, especially for abstract topics like momentum and impulse. This research addresses the gap by developing guided inquiry-based teaching materials assisted by virtual laboratories (V-Lab) for momentum and impulse, aiming to improve senior high school students' scientific literacy. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method focusing on the define, design, and develop stages. Module feasibility was assessed through validation by material and media experts using questionnaires (1-4 Likert scale), yielding quantitative scores and qualitative feedback. Initial field testing involved 32 10th-grade students and utilized readability questionnaires, learning interest questionnaires, and pre-post science literacy tests, analyzed descriptively. Results showed high feasibility: material expert validation at 91.6% (Very Good) and media expert validation at 84.0% (Very Good). Qualitative feedback affirmed the module's strengths and provided suggestions for refinement. Initial field testing indicated very good student readability (86.3%) and learning interest (82.0%). Science literacy improved from a pre-test average of 45.2% to a post-test average of 75.8%, with a Normalized Gain (N-Gain) of 0.56 (Medium effectiveness). The study concludes that the developed V-Lab assisted guided inquiry teaching materials are highly feasible and effective for enhancing students' science literacy. The module offers a valuable, interactive resource for physics education, with potential for wider application

Abstract

Proses kegiatan belajar mengajar di kelas sangat bergantung pada metode, media, dan materi pembelajaran yang dipilih oleh guru. Pemilihan metode dan media pembelajaran yang tidak tepat, dapat menghambat pemahaman siswa terhadap materi yang diajarkan oleh guru. Mata pelajaran termodinamika merupakan salahs atu pelajaranyang sulit untuk dipahami bagi siswa kelas XI MIA di MAS Proyek UNIVA Medan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh metode pembelajaran ekspositori berbantuan puzzle untuk menstimulus pemahaman konsep fisika siswa kelas XI pokok bahasan termodinamika. Metode di dalam penelitian ini merupakan quasi experiment dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan merupakan bagian dari nonequivalent control group design dan teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Sampel yang dipilih untuk penelitian ini merupakan kelas XI MIA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MAS Proyek UNIVA Medan pada bulan November 2024. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, kuisioner, dan tes objektif. Wawancara yang dilakukan kepada guru bidang studi digunakan untuk menentukan masalah yang dihadapi oleh kelas tersebut, sedangkan kuisioner digunakan untuk menemukan metode dan media yang cocok digunakan dalam mengatasi masalah tersebut. Tes objektif digunakan kepada siswa di kedua kelas untuk melihat perbedaan kenaikan nilai yang dialami oleh kelas eksperimen maupun kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian diperoleh terdapat pengaruh metode pembelajaran ekspositori berbantuan puzzle untuk menstimulus pemahaman konsep siswa dengan uji paired sample t test pada α = 0,05 diperoleh nilai sig. sebesar 0.00 dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS 26. Rata – rata nilai N – gain pada kelas kontrol adalah 0,29 tergolong kategori rendah, sedangkan rata – rata nilai N – gain kelas eksperimen adalah 0,63 tergolong kategori sedang. Terdapat perbedaan kenaikan nilai aspek aspek pemahaman konsep pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, dengan rincian translasi sebesar 28,34%, interpretasi sebesar 19,05%, dan ekstrapolasi sebesar 20,41%.
