Abstract

This research identifies the potential of tempe as a traditional food product in Mayang District, which is hindered by suboptimal production quality and branding. The aim of this research is to enhance the economic empowerment of the community by improving the tempe production process, developing innovative packaging, and strengthening product branding. Using a Community-Based Research (CBR) approach, this study involves technical training and branding strategy development, as well as impact evaluation through interviews, observations, and surveys. The research results show that improvements in the production process enhance the consistency of tempe, while new packaging and strengthened branding successfully attract consumer attention and boost sales. In conclusion, this program is effective in enhancing the competitiveness of tempe and empowering local communities, as well as offering a model that can be applied for the development of local products in other regions.

Abstract

This study examines the multicultural values conveyed by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in Hadith al-Bukhārī No. 6065. The tendency to harm and hate one another in this era of openness threatens Islamic brotherhood, making this study essential to reaffirm the teachings of Rasulullah SAW on harmony and multiculturalism. The research focuses on four main aspects: (1) the analysis of the hadith’s authenticity, (2) the jurisprudential (fiqh) analysis of the hadith, (3) the correlation of Hadith al-Bukhārī 6065 with the Qur’an and other hadiths, and (4) the multicultural values embedded within the hadith. This study adopts a qualitative approach using library research methods by consulting relevant literature and documents. The findings of this study are as follows: (1) no defects, instances of tadlīs, or other weaknesses were found in either the matn (text) or isnād (chain of transmission) of Hadith al-Bukhārī 6065; (2) the hadith aligns with Qur’anic verses such as al-Ḥujurāt [49]:10 and Āli ‘Imrān [3]:103, as well as with other hadiths (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6076 and 6064; 6 narrations from Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2641; Sunan Abī Dāwūd 4910; Jāmi' at-Tirmidhī 1935/Sunan at-Tirmidhī 2039; al-Muwaṭṭa’ 2639 and 2640; and Musnad Aḥmad 12073, 12691, 13053, 13179, 13180, 13354, 13935, and 14016); (3) Hadith al-Bukhārī 6065 conveys three key messages: (a) prohibition of tadābur (turning away from one another), tabāguḍ (mutual hatred), and taḥāsud (envy); (b) command to foster brotherhood; and (c) prohibition of al-ḥajr (shunning others); and (4) the multicultural values contained in the hadith include spiritual-religious values, the universality of brotherhood, harmony between theoretical and practical paradigms, and socio-spiritual balance. [Penelitian ini membahas nilai-nilai multikultural yang dipesankan Rasulullah SAW dalam hadis al-Bukhārī nomor 6065. Perilaku saling menyakiti dan membenci di era keterbukaan berpotensi merusak persaudaraan umat Islam, sehingga kajian ini penting untuk menegaskan ajaran Rasulullah SAW tentang harmoni dan multikulturalisme. Penelitian ini fokus pada (1) analisis kualitas hadis; (2) analisis fikih hadis; (3) korelasi hadis al-Bukhārī 6065 dengan Al-Qur’an dan hadis-hadis lain; serta (4) nilai-nilai multikultural yang terkandung di dalam hadis al-Bukhārī 6065. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi pustaka dari literatur dan dokumen yang berkaitan dengan tema penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) tidak ditemukan kecacatan, ke-tadlīs-an, maupun unsur-unsur kelemahan lain dari matan maupun sanad hadis al-Bukhārī 6065; (2) hadis al-Bukhārī 6065 sejalan dengan ayat 10 al-Ḥujurāt, ayat 103 Āli ‘Imrān, dan hadis-hadis lain (Ṣahīh al-Bukhārī 6076 dan 6064, 6 riwayat Ṣahīh Muslim 2641, Sunan Abī Dāud 4910, Jāmi’ at-Tirmiżī 1935/Sunan at-Tirmiżī 2039, Muwaṭṭa’ 2639 dan 2640, serta Musnad Aḥmad 12073, 12691, 13053, 13179, 13180, 13354, 13935, dan 14016); (3) hadis al-Bukhārī 6065 memiliki 3 pesan utama, yaitu (a) larangan berbuat tadābur (saling memalingkan diri), tabāguḍ (saling membenci), dan taḥāsud (saling dengki), (b) perintah untuk menjalin persaudaraan, dan (c) larangan melakukan al-ḥajr; serta (4) nilai-nilai multikultural yang terkandung adalah nilai spiritual-religius, universalitas persaudaraan, nilai keselarasan paradigma antara teori dan praktik, dan nilai keseimbangan sosio-spiritual.]

Abstract

The global halal market, projected to reach USD 3.2 trillion by 2028, presents significant opportunities for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia, including East Java, which has a strong food and beverage MSME base. However, the low literacy level of MSME actors regarding halal certification regulations and procedures is a constraint in increasing competitiveness in the global market. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to provide comprehensive education and guidance on halal product certification for mentored MSMEs in several districts/cities in East Java, so that they are able to obtain halal certification and expand market access. This community service method uses the ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) approach, which begins with discovering the potential of MSMEs, dreaming of a vision for halal competitiveness, designing training and mentoring programs, and delivering real actions in the certification process. The activities were carried out thru focus group discussions, socialization and technical training, assistance in filling out halal certification documents on the BPJPH system, and field verification assistance. The service results showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of halal certification procedures from 56% to 92% (based on pre-test and post-test results), as well as the success of 70% of the participating MSMEs in obtaining a Halal Certificate (SH) from BPJPH. This activity not only accelerated the halal certification process but also increased consumer confidence and expanded marketing networks. This PKM recommends program sustainability thru the establishment of university-based Halal Centers to continuously support MSMEs. Keywords: Education, and Mentoring, Halal Certification, MSMEs

Abstract

This research examines the role of multiliteracy in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning to strengthen moderate Islamic understanding among students. The background of this research is based on the importance of presenting learning strategies that can integrate text, digital, visual, cultural, and information literacy in facing the challenges of the globalization era. The research aims to describe the application of multiliteracy in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and analyze its correlation with strengthening moderate Islamic values. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, employing in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation with teachers and students in the madrasah environment. The research findings indicate that text literacy (82%) and cultural literacy (80%) are dominant aspects in supporting moderate attitudes, while digital literacy (75%) and visual literacy (68%) also enrich students' perspectives in understanding contemporary religious issues. The correlation between multiliteracy and moderate Islamic understanding reached an average of 78%, indicating a significant influence. In conclusion, multiliteracy in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) not only broadens students' horizons but also serves as a transformative strategy that bridges religious texts with modern social realities, making it relevant in shaping a tolerant, inclusive, and adaptive generation of Muslims.   Keywords: multiliteracy, Islamic religious education, moderate Islam

Abstract

Pendidikan multikultural memegang peranan krusial dalam menghadapi tantangan global dalam ruang kelas. Artikel ini, berjudul "Pendidikan Multikultural di Kelas Global: Strategi Pengajaran Responsif Budaya," membahas strategi pengajaran yang responsif terhadap keragaman budaya dalam konteks global. Pendidikan multikultural bukan sekadar mengakui keberagaman, tetapi juga mengajarkan keterampilan dan pemahaman yang dibutuhkan untuk berinteraksi dengan dunia yang semakin terhubung. Artikel ini mengidentifikasi beberapa strategi pengajaran yang efektif untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang responsif budaya. Pertama, pendekatan pengajaran harus mengakui dan menghargai latar belakang budaya siswa. Guru perlu memahami keberagaman bahasa, nilai, dan norma-norma budaya yang membentuk identitas siswa. Kedua, kurikulum harus dirancang untuk mencerminkan keragaman global. Materi pembelajaran harus mencakup berbagai perspektif budaya untuk memberikan gambaran yang komprehensif tentang dunia kepada siswa. Selain itu, penggunaan teknologi dapat menjadi alat yang kuat untuk mendukung pendidikan multikultural di kelas global. Platform pembelajaran daring dapat menghadirkan sumber daya yang mencakup budaya dari seluruh dunia, membantu siswa memahami realitas global lebih baik. Pemanfaatan teknologi juga memungkinkan koneksi lintas batas antara kelas-kelas di seluruh dunia, menciptakan pengalaman pembelajaran yang lebih menyeluruh dan kolaboratif. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pemahaman praktis dan konseptual tentang pendidikan multikultural di era globalisasi. Dengan mengintegrasikan strategi pengajaran responsif budaya, artikel ini mengajak para pendidik untuk beradaptasi dengan lingkungan kelas yang semakin heterogen dan menyiapkan siswa untuk berpartisipasi dalam masyarakat global dengan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang keragaman budaya.

Abstract

Islam as a religion that came 14 centuries ago certainly could not escape the established civilization and culture, the plains of Arabia as the birthplace of Islam was indeed not a mainstream area of world civilization at that time, but this does not mean that Arabia is a land without capabilities and culture. It was recorded that before Islam was born, the commerce carried out by the Arabs had reached various regions outside the Arabian Peninsula, apart from that their penchant for literature made people in the Arab plains as people who had high language quality. However, many historians have created a gap between Islam and pre-Islamic Arab traditions through contrasting moral and ideological demarcations. Pre-Islamic Arab society was perceived as an ignorant society, then Islam came to liberate it. To some extent, the claim is not entirely false. However, this generalization has a negative influence in building historical criticism. This paper will focus on the dialectical relationship between local culture and Islam, especially the early Islam and the local cultural traditions of Arab society through the perspective of the Prophet's traditions. is a qualitative descriptive method by using a type of library research (Library Research) That is by reviewing books or written data that is continuous with the writing of this journal. In this case, the researcher analyzes some data that is relevant to the title being discussed. The findings in this study are that there has been reconciliation between culture and Islam since the early days of Islam, one of the evidences is the addition of the call to prayer at Friday prayers twice during the reign of Sayyidina Uthman bin Affan and this continues until now.

Abstract

This writing aims to describe the development of the Social Studies curriculum in Indonesia. Social studies education in Indonesia did not just appear and develop, but through a long journey full of dynamics. This article reviews social studies education from a historical perspective and its development using historical research methods, which include the steps of heuristics, source criticism (external and internal), interpretation, and historiography. The development of the social studies curriculum in Indonesia has adopted the concepts of social studies education in several major countries, such as the United States and the United Kingdom, which became a reference because of the similarity of the conditions of multicultural society and the background of the country's unstable situation at that time. Nevertheless, the development of social studies education in Indonesia is adapted to the conditions of society and government in the country, which has an impact on the preparation of curriculum and implementation of learning in schools. Along with technological advances, social studies education also continues to grow by utilizing a variety of learning resources and media. In addition, the development of social studies learning materials also involves the active participation of the wider community.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the meaning and implementation of the value of mutual trust in Imam Muslim Hadith No. 1551 as the basis for forming religious character in Islamic educational institutions. This hadith contains moral principles about Islamic brotherhood, social responsibility, and empathy that are relevant to efforts to build trust between individuals in the world of education. The novelty of this research lies in its approach, which integrates the study of hadith texts with the practical realities of education, resulting in a model for internalizing religious values that is applicable and contextual in the modern era. This research uses a qualitative approach with field research combined with content analysis of hadith texts. Data collection techniques were carried out thru observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and pesantren caregivers, and documentation of learning activities in Islamic educational institutions. The research results indicate that the internalization of mutual trust values is implemented thru integration into the learning curriculum, teacher role modeling, and the formation of an institutional culture based on honesty, responsibility, and social solidarity. This process has a positive impact on improving students' spirituality, morality, and social care. Thus, the value of mutual trust in Imam Muslim Hadith No. 1551 can be used as a conceptual foundation and practical model for strengthening religious character education in Islamic educational institutions.
