Abstract

This article presents a class action research in the subject of Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) at the SMK Murni Surakarta. This research aim is improving student ability to create correct CNC program for mill machine. It is found that last class students performed not quite well in this subject. They had difficulty to create CNC mill program logically. Actually, the students possessed appropriate knowledge to imagine the cutting tool movement from subjects related to conventional machine operation However, students were not able to construct that knowledge to develop CNC codes properly. Therefore this research analyzed possibility to implement learning strategy based on constructivism approach that is generative learning strategy. This strategy is directed to ask students to generate their past knowledge with the result that they can understand what their learned on their ways. There were two cycles conducted during the action research, every cycle was consisted of four phases: planning, action, evaluation and reflection phase. At the first phase of 1st cycle, the teacher prepare teaching plan, course material and assessment instrument. Then, the teacher identified initial knowledge and motivation of students to plan the actions by means of question-naire and pre requisite subject score. The first cycle action is focused on tool movement on coordinate form. The evaluation on this cycle showed that students were able to create knowledge from information they have known and they were capable to determine tool direction. Based on this result, in the second cycle the students were asked to create engineering drawing on the millimeter book together with the tool direction. After that, they simulated it by means of Cutviewer mill. There was an increasing in percentage of students do@ the task correctly (74,3%). It shows that generative learning strategy could be an alternative to reduce students' difficulty in CNC programming learning.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the leading tuna exporters in the world. The total export volume of tuna in 2004 was 94,221 tons valued at US $ 243,937 million However, export of fresh tuna has been hampered by several quality problems, particularly high content of histamine and heavy metals. FDA (Food and Drug Administration) reported that during period of 2001-2005, there were 350 cases of tuna rejections in the US due to the above mentioned problem. Likewise, in recent years, exports of tuna from Indonesia to European Union member countries have been subjected to RASFF (Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed) and export suspension by the European Commission. It is obvious therefore, that efforts to improve post harvest handling are highly imperative. This research was conducted in Pelabuhan Ratu, West Java and Research Center For Marine and Fisheries Product Processing and Biotechnology, Jakarta. Newly caught tuna were unloaded and transported to Jakarta with proper icing. Quality changes were monitored, including core temperature of fish, pH, K-value (inosine, hipoxantine, IMP, AMP, ADP, ATP), histamine, heavy metal (Hg and Cd), and microbiology. The pH value of fresh tuna samples upon arrival at the laboratory varied between 5.85-6.01. Whereas the K-value and histamine contents were 2.01- 13.74% and 1.28-1.61 mg/100g respectively. Total microbial count and histamine producing bacteria were 102-2.5 x 104 cfu/g and 101-1.99 x 102 cfu/g respectively. Mercury and cadmium content were 0.076-0.501 ppb and 0.052-0.398 ppb respectively.   Keywords : Post Catching, Quality, Tuna     Indonesia adalah salah satu eksportir tuna terkemuka di dunia. Total volume ekspor ikan tuna pada tahun 2004 adalah 94.221 ton senilai US $ 243.937 juta Namun, ekspor tuna segar telah terhambat oleh beberapa masalah kualitas, khususnya yang tinggi kandungan histamin dan logam berat. FDA (Food and Drug Administration) melaporkan bahwa selama periode tahun 2001-2005, ada 350 kasus penolakan tuna di AS karena masalah tersebut di atas. Demikian juga, dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, ekspor tuna dari Indonesia ke negara-negara anggota Uni Eropa telah mengalami RASFF (Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed) dan suspensi ekspor oleh Komisi Eropa. Jelas karena itu, bahwa upaya untuk meningkatkan penanganan pasca panen sangat penting. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Pelabuhan Ratu, Jawa Barat dan Pusat Penelitian Kelautan dan Perikanan Untuk Pengolahan Produk dan Bioteknologi, Jakarta. Baru menangkap ikan tuna yang dibongkar dan diangkut ke Jakarta dengan icing yang tepat. Kualitas perubahan dimonitor, termasuk suhu inti dari ikan, pH, K-nilai (inosine, hipoxantine, IMP, AMP, ADP, ATP), histamin, logam berat (Hg dan Cd), dan mikrobiologi. Nilai pH sampel tuna segar pada saat kedatangan di laboratorium bervariasi antara 5,85-6,01. Sedangkan nilai-K dan isi histamin adalah 2,01-13,74% dan 1,28-1,61 mg/100g masing. menghitung mikroba bakteri penghasil histamin adalah Total dan 102-2,5 x 104 cfu / g dan 101-1,99 x 102 cfu / g masing-masing. Mercury dan konten cadmium adalah 0,076-0,501 ppb dan 0,052-0,398 ppb masing. Kata kunci: Kualitas, Pos Penangkapan, Tuna

Abstract

The oil-to-gas fuel conversion program is an energy diversification policy carried out by the government to reduce fishing communities' dependence on oil fuel by assisting in the form of converter kit engines. The converter kit engine innovation is believed to be more efficient and effective than the ordinary boat propulsion engines previously used by fishermen. This research aims to identify the socio-economic characteristics of fishermen, analyze fishermen's perceptions of the characteristics of converter kit engine innovation, and analyze the relationship between perceptions and fishermen's income. The method in this research is a survey method. The research subjects consisted of 51 fishermen who received converter kit engines. Data was collected using a questionnaire designed using a Likert scale. The research results showed that the achievement value of fishermen's perception of the characteristics of converter kit engine innovation was 92.03% and was classified as very high. The correlation test results between the variables of fishermen's perceptions of the innovative characteristics of converter kit engines and fishermen's income have a fragile and insignificant relationship with a negative correlation coefficient or in the opposite direction of -0.185.

Abstract

Recycling used face masks into useful products is an alternative way to reduce the accumulation of medical waste during the COVID-19 period. The main objective of this study was to determine the effect of injection molding parameters of barrel temperature, molding temperature, and cooling time on tensile strength and plastic shrinkage during the recycling process of used disposable face masks. The study utilized a Design of Experiment (DoE) using the Taguchi Orthogonal L9 method. In this current study, the barrel temperatures were set at 170oC, 190oC, and 220oC. with the molding temperatures used are 45°C, 60°C, and 75°C, while the values of cooling time were 26s, 43s, and 52s. The tensile test was carried out according to the ASTM D638 type V standard for measuring the strength of materials. The findings demonstrate that the most important factor in achieving the highest tensile strength is the molding temperature, which contributes 34.54% and is best combined with a barrel temperature of 170°C, a molding temperature of 60°C, and a cooling period of 52s. By contributing 54.40% to the parameter combination of barrel temperature of 170°C, molding temperature of 45°C, and cooling time of 52s, the molding temperature becomes the most crucial factor to produce the least amount of shrinkage

Abstract

Snakehead fish is one of the freshwater products that has potential in South Sumatra. Utilization of snakehead fish as a side dish and diversification product is for typical Palembang food processing. Most of these preparations used meat as a raw material, leaving waste scales, skin and bones which had the potential to be used as raw materials for collagen. One of the stages of collagen production was soaking in NaOH. The aim of this research was to examine the chemical properties of scales, skin and bones of snakehead fish after soaking in NaOH. The soaking process was carried out in 0.05M NaOH for 6 hours and the water was changed every 2 hours with a ratio of waste to NaOH solution of 1:10. The parameters analyzed included water content, ash content and protein. The results showed the proportion of scales, skin and bones of snakehead fish respectively of 6% scales, 5.7% skin and 4.20% bones. Proximate analysis tests showed levels in snakehead fish scales of 55.67%, skin by 81.15% and bones by 50.80%. The average value of ash content was in snakehead fish scales of 48.14%, skin by 9.27% and bones by 55.42%. The average value of protein content was in snakehead fish scales by 29.60%, skin by 67.59% and bones by 23.66%.

Abstract

Dalam menghadapi perkembangan teknologi dan komunikasi di era modern ini, penguasaan keterampilan abad ke-21 menjadi sangat penting, seperti berpikir kritis, pemecahan masalah, komunikasi, kolaborasi, serta kreativitas dan inovasi. Keterampilan ini diakui sebagai elemen kunci untuk menciptakan lulusan perguruan tinggi yang siap menghadapi tantangan global. Masalah ini sejalan dengan kebutuhan pengembangan keterampilan abad ke-21, yang mencakup critical thinking and problem solving, communication, collaboration, dan creativity and innovation. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, diperlukan pengembangan kurikulum yang berfokus pada persiapan masa depan dan kebutuhan industri di abad ke-21. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan tersebut adalah discovery learning, yang mendorong pemikiran kritis, kreativitas, dan pemecahan masalah. Namun, terdapat kendala, seperti waktu pelaksanaan dan keterbatasan teknologi, yang harus diperhatikan. Dalam konteks pembelajaran akuntansi di SMK, penelitian ini mengusulkan pengembangan model pembelajaran daring berbasis discovery learning yang dapat mendukung pengembangan keterampilan abad ke-21. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode R&D (Research and Development) untuk mengembangkan dan memvalidasi produk pembelajaran yang relevan dengan kebutuhan SMK.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh sikap perilaku, norma subjektif, dan perceived behavior control terhadap persepsi pengelolaan sampah plastik, serta mengevaluasi pengaruh pendidikan daur ulang terhadap perubahan persepsi tersebut pada peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode studi kasus dan desain one group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 21 siswa kelas X Teknik Otomotif di SMK PGRI 1 Surakarta. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner sebelum dan setelah sesi materi dan praktik. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa sikap perilaku tidak memengaruhi persepsi pengelolaan sampah plastik (Sig. 0,307 > 0,05). Norma subjektif memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap persepsi (Sig. 0,039 < 0,05; koefisien regresi 1,089). Perceived behavior control juga berpengaruh, namun dengan arah negatif (Sig. 0,039 < 0,05; koefisien regresi -1,132). Pendidikan daur ulang terbukti meningkatkan persepsi pengelolaan sampah plastik, dengan rata-rata nilai post-test (19,14) lebih tinggi dibandingkan pre-test (16,10). Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya pendidikan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran siswa dalam pengelolaan sampah.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi android sangat  berpengaruh terhadap pendidikan, hal ini ditandai semakin banyaknya penggunaan handphone untuk pembelajaran. Penelitian ini  bertujuan  untuk  mengkaji  kelayakan  penerapan  dan  efektivitas Model Project  Based  Learning  (PjBL)  berbantuan aplikasi android  Akuntansi Umum (AKU) terhadap hasil belajar akuntansi dasar peserta didik Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain Quasi Experimental. Populasi penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas X AKL Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Sampel penelitian dari kelas X AKL1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X AKL2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik  pengumpulan data menggunakan  pre-test dan post-test. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji kesamaan rata-rata dan uji N-Gain. Rata-rata perolehan nilai post-test dengan menggunakan model PjBL yang sama dengan media yang berbeda, kelas eksperimen memperoleh hasil 81,1 dari pada kelas kontrol 77,4. Hasil uji hipotesis perolehan t hitung sebesar 2,082 > t tabel sebesar 1,978 serta nilai signifikansi 0,041<0,05. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) berbantuan aplikasi android AKU terbukti efektif dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar akuntansi dasar peserta didik.

Abstract

Undang-undang No.20 Tahun 2003 bertujuan untuk pengembangan potensi peserta didik yang beriman pada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, patuh kepada hukum dan prinsip moral. Role Playing Game (RPG) merupakan model pembelajaran yang berfokus pada pemecahan masalah. Media pembelajaran yang digunakan ada tiga jenis adalah modul komprehensif, program pembelajaran media dan lembar kerja siswa (LJK). Ketiga jenis media tersebut melengkapi sumber daya pendidikan yang tersedia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development). Hasil validasi dari para ahli dan pengguna menunjukkan bahwa materi pendidikan yang dipromosikan dalam penelitian ini memenuhi kriteria validasi dan pengujian yang telah dilakukan. Aspek penilaian penelitian ini terdiri dari rekayasa perangkat lunak, desain pembelajaran, dan  komunikasi visual. Paper ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kurikulum pendidikan media berbasis game untuk siswa kelas X. Kurikulum ini mengajarkan tentang pengkodean resistor dan hubungan resistor menggunakan mesin game RPG Maker MV. Meskipun media memberitakan sebaliknya, diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut tentang pengembangan RPG sebagai bahan teknis agar konten RPG di media pendidikan tidak menimbulkan masalah baru.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused significant impacts on the environment since the use of disposable face masks leads to the accumulation of plastic waste. In this study, a two-step extrusion and injection molding was performed to manufacture polymer blends consisting of 80% used face mask and 20% fraction of one of these recycled polymer mixtures: polypropylene (PP), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), and PET. ASTM D256 standard was used to evaluate the mechanical properties of the resulting polymer blend materials, while the physical performance was assessed by analyzing the shrinkage. It was found that adding other polymeric mixtures could not enhance the mechanical properties of pure disposable face masks, as measured by the impact strength. However, incorporating the recycled polymer into the face mask mixture is revealed to decrease shrinkage. Observation of the morphology surface of the fracture impact specimen using a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) confirmed the less miscibility within the recycled polymer/face mask. The blend, which contains recycled PET, showed the lowest percentage of shrinkage. Taking advantage of its recyclability characteristic, this current work may provide an alternative approach for using the disposable face mask in low load-bearing applications.
