Abstract

Library service management is the process of optimizing the contribution of human resources, materials, and budget to achieve the goals of the library or library management process based on management principles and theories. Meanwhile, reading interest is the ability to read and encourages the growth of reading culture and habits. Through reading, students can broaden their insights, sharpen their ideas, and enhance creativity. This research aims to explore the planning, implementation, and assessment of library service activities at State Senior High School 1 Secanggang, Langkat Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. Data collection is conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. The primary data sources for the research are interviews with the school principal, library head, library staff, teachers, and students. Secondary data consists of documents related to library service management in enhancing students' reading interest at State Senior High School 1 Secanggang, Langkat Regency. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and checking data validity by comparing interview data with the research object. The results of the research show that library service management in enhancing reading interest at State Senior High School 1 Secanggang, Langkat Regency, is well-established. The planning activities begin with meetings attended by the school principal, library head, library staff, teachers, and students. The implementation of library services is carried out by two library staff members with their respective schedules and is supervised by the library head. Assessment is conducted for the school principal, library head, library staff, teachers, and students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the curriculum used by madrasas and their implementation in basic education institutions. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive study method. Data collection was carried out using observation techniques, interviews, and document studies. Furthermore, data analysis uses data sorting, presentation, and data verification techniques. The results of this study conclude that the curriculum used by Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Washliyah Stabat is the 2013 curriculum (revised) as a learning guide and human resource development (teachers and students) in madrasas. Implementation of the curriculum begins with socialization to teachers regarding changes in the 2013 curriculum, providing training for teachers to improve classroom management skills and the learning process, preparing academic schedules, completing textbooks (for students or teachers according to the latest edition), as well as carrying out academic supervision and managerial in the learning process.

Abstract

The communication strategy is the main capital for the head of the madrasa in forming a conducive learning climate in the madrasa. This study aims to analyze the principal's strategy in implementing organizational communication at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Kesuma LKMD, Namorambe District. This study used a qualitative approach with an analytical descriptive method. Collecting data using the method of observation, interviews and document study. The results of this study conclude that the implementation of organizational communication strategies (vertical, horizontal, diagonal) in MI Kesuma LKMD Jatikesuma is in a good category, as seen in the following conditions: (1) Vertical communication in madrasas is not good enough, due to the lack of presence of the head schools in the process of teaching and learning activities; (2) Horizontal communication in the Jatikesuma madrasah is quite good. The high level of interaction among members of the same level and the still weak organizational cooperation indicates that the interaction is carried out more on non-formal communication. (3) Diagonal communication in madrasas is carried out well, because all members of the organization at different levels of position are given the freedom to communicate, both formal and non-formal.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility of the Android-based learning application, SAKLAR, as a learning media for Lorentz Force material for junior high school / MTs students. The research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the 3D model (define, design, development). At the define stage, needs analysis was conducted through interviews and observations, while the design stage involved designing the application with Canva. At the development stage, the application was developed using Smart Application Creator (SAC) and validated by media and material experts. The validation results showed a feasibility level of 97.1% for the material and 96.2% for the media. A limited trial with 26 students showed that the app improved students' understanding and motivation to learn. This app is expected to be an innovative alternative to technology-based science learning.

Abstract

This research aims to create an Internet of Things (IoT)-based Newton's Law II physics practicum trainer. The developed props aim to make the students understand measure time, speed, and acceleration in Particle Dynamics Using IoT-based teaching aids. The design of teaching aids uses electronic components such as ESP32 WIFI-Bluetooth microcontrollers, obstacle Infrared Sensors, and LCDs as the main hardware components. The software for developing this teaching aid utilizes the Arduino IDE compiler based on C++. The development research method used is the ADDIE design development method. The ADDIE design development stages include Analyze, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The product feasibility test involved 35 SMAN 1 Montong Gading students. Expert validators in the media and material carry out the feasibility test. The feasibility test results in the media and material sector are 95%, with a very feasible category. The scores of the student's responses to the development are 77% with a practical. The results showed that the physics teaching aids developed were very valid and feasible to use.

Abstract

This study developed a website-based learning media, Base Physics (BASIC), to improve high school students' science literacy in physics following the Merdeka Curriculum. The Research and Development (R&D) method was used with the 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). This media is designed to overcome the limitations of learning resources and provide additional references that are interactive and easily accessible. This study involved 35 students of class XII IPA at SMAN 6 Serang City and three expert validators who assessed the aspects of content, Design, and language. The validation results showed BASIC had a feasibility level of 96%, while the limited trial obtained positive responses from students with a percentage of 82%. This media is recognised for improving understanding of physics concepts, scientific thinking skills, and student engagement in learning. Thus, BASIC can be an innovative learning medium that supports physics science literacy in schools. This research recommends further development in Design and material coverage and evaluation of its effectiveness on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' learning outcomes and figure out their responses to the application of the problem-based learning model in learning natural sciences. This study is a classroom action research. The subjects of this study were 16 students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsari in the odd semester of the 2022–2023 academic year. This research was conducted in two learning cycles, with the stages in each cycle including planning, action, observation/evaluation, and reflection. The data collection was carried out using two instruments, namely tests in the form of a pre-test (cycle 1) and a post-test (cycle 2) to examine the student learning outcomes after implementing PBL and a questionnaire to find out the student responses to the application of PBL. The data that have been collected were then analyzed descriptively. Based on the data analysis, the results showed that after the application of the problem-based learning model, there was an increase of 60.2% in students' science learning outcomes. The average value of students' learning outcomes in cycle I was 33, while that of in cycle II increased to 83. In addition, students' responses are in the positive category. This study concluded that the application of the problem-based learning model could improve students' learning outcomes in class VII at SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsari.
