Abstract

This study examines leading school and college improvement, the research method uses the type of library research, which is a series of activities related to library data collection methods. The results of the study found that to improve the quality of education in schools, various management models and quality improvement strategies could be taken, including Total Quality Management Theory, Organizing Business For Excelency Theory, Four Factor Quality Improvement Models, and Education Quality Improvement through School-Based Management. The strategy to improve the quality of education in schools can be done in the following ways: namely a strategy that emphasizes the results (the output oriented strategy), a strategy that emphasizes the process (the process oriented strategy), and a comprehensive strategy (the comprehensive strategy). As for the challenges in efforts to improve the quality of education in schools, there are many but in essence the inadequate resources of education actors in schools, political will from policy holders and the education policy itself. Some things that must be considered in connection with the strategy to improve the quality of education in universities include Students Who Are Educated, Lecturers as Educators and Teachers, Facilities and Infrastructure

Abstract

This research is a descriptive study with a correlation type involving seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Leihitu. Research variables, namely variables of interest in learning and achievement of physics learning outcomes, while the data analysis technique is descriptive analysis and inferential analysis with the correlation method. The results of this study prove that students' interest in learning provides a significant relationship with the achievement of learning outcomes in physics. The results illustrate that students' interest in learning who is taught using problem solving methods can affect student concentration in learning in order to achieve learning outcomes outcomes of physics. In using the problemsolving method, students think more and act creatively in solving problems, where the teacher involves more students as subjects who seek and solve on their own and not as objects that only receive information from the teacher, so that students can actively learn and appreciate knowledge. which theyreceive at school in order to develop their knowledge and skills

Abstract

This research was conducted in an effort to improve the quality of student learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 3 Leihitu by applying the Problem Solving method. Problem Solving applied in this study focused on the ability of students to deal with problems and determine problem solving solutions. Students are encouraged to be creative, active and responsive to problems related to physics subjects, especially on Forced material. The type of this research used is quantitative descriptive research. The sample of this study was class VIII1students, totaling 30 students. The effectiveness of learning in this study can be known after analyzing the test results, namely pre-test and post-test. The effectiveness of achieving student competency standards was analyzed using the t-test. After analyzing the data, the results showed that learning with problem solving methods was very effective because it was through the t-test where the thit value was 22.13 which wasobtained through the ttab value of 2.042. Meanwhile, in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects of students with this method, it can be seen that the level of mastery increased significantly with the percentage of completeness of 96.66%.

Abstract

This research was conducted to develop learner activity sheets (LKPD) based on cognitive structures and metacognition skills. The LKPD is aimed at Class XI students of MA Walisongo Pontianak which is a boarding school. LKPD is prepared to improve the cognitive structure ability of students in the aspects of comparative thinking structure, symbolic representation structure, and logical reasoning structure and metacognition ability of students in the aspects of planning, monitoring, reflection. LKPD material is adjusted to the competency standards, namely applying the laws of static fluid, designing and conducting experiments that utilise the properties of static fluid. The stages of this development research are up to the analysis and design stages which are part of the ADDIE design research design.

Abstract

A virtual laboratory is one of the innovative solutions in physics learning, especially to overcome the limitations of space, time, and conventional practical tools. This study aims to analyse the effect of elevation angle on the characteristics of parabolic motion, namely the highest point, farthest range, and maximum travel time. The research method used is a simulation-based quantitative experiment using the PhET Projectile Motion platform. The simulation was conducted with a fixed initial velocity of 10 m/s at three elevation angle variations: 30°, 45°, and 60°, with each angle tested 15 times. Results show that the elevation angle significantly affects all observed variables. The maximum height was reached at an angle of 60°, the furthest horizontal reach was obtained at an angle of 45°, and the longest time to peak occurred at an angle of 60°. However, the relationship between elevation angle and parabolic motion outcomes was not linear. These findings strengthen the theoretical understanding of bullet motion and show that virtual simulation can be a valid and effective alternative medium for the exploration of physics concepts. The integration of virtual laboratories such as PhET into the learning process is recommended to improve the quality of students' understanding of two-dimensional motion phenomena.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) evaluate the achievement of character education programs at the elementary school level in Medan City, (2) provide good recommendations to teachers, schools, for improving the Islamic Personal Development education program in the Integrated Islamic School Network. The type of research is program evaluation (formative evaluation) with a qualitative approach. The research subjects include: SD IT AD-DURRAH Medan. The data were analyzed using Milles & Huberman data analysis including: data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The conclusions of this study are: (1) the readiness of elementary schools in the Integrated Islamic School Network (JSIT) to implement Islamic Personal Development education, judging from the curriculum that has integrated character education, but is still lacking in terms of managing supporting infrastructure and many teachers need more a lot of knowledge and skills about Islamic Personal Development; (2) the implementation of character education has begun to appear in learning activities; (3) support from the government in socialization or training is still lacking by schools; (4) monitoring and evaluation of character education is still limited to the curriculum and is carried out through coaching in every school; and (5) common obstacles faced by schools are student attitude assessments that have not been documented, teachers' lack of understanding to implement Islamic Personal Development.
