Abstract

Wattpad has emerged as a valuable tool in English language education, particularly for enhancing writing skills. Previous studies highlight Wattpad's efficacy in improving writing style, creativity, and students' motivation to write. This platform offers diverse genres and features, enabling writers to share their work and engage with a global audience. Despite its impact on writing skills; enhancing grammar, vocabulary, and structure there's a gap in understanding students' perceptions regarding Wattpad's role as a teaching tool, specifically in writing. Utilizing a qualitative approach with interviews, this research explores the perceptions of five English Education students at Serambi Mekkah University. Their insights highlight Wattpad as a space for regular writing practice, an assisting tool in refining language skills, storytelling and character development. The participants express that the Interactions with readers provide them with valuable feedback, and enrich their understanding of their craft. While Wattpad influences motivation and writing proficiency, it does not significantly impact students' reading interests. This research contributes to understanding Wattpads multifaceted role in language education, offering insights into its implications for writing development and broader exposure to diverse written works.

Abstract

Groundwater is utilized as a clean water source including in Pelauw and Kariu Villages. Drilling and excavating are frequent techniques utilized in the construction of wells that serve as sources of groundwater. As a result of the ocean encircling the majority of this area, salinity may infiltrate wells. Consequently, the purpose of this study was to ascertain whether seawater intrusion had occurred in 12 nearby wells. Major ion tests were carried out in the lab, while surveys and measurement fields were carried out for the sampling procedure. Ion Cl, EC, TDS, Simpson ratio, and BEX data are used in the analysis to determine whether seawater intrusion is present. Additionally, the Piper diagram is used to categorize different types of water based on the outcomes of the main ion test. The findings indicated that Cl-, EC, and TDS levels have increased at a number of the sampling sites. At point A09, there is an indication of seawater intrusion based on the BEX values, which shows a negative number. The majority of the well water, as determined by a water classification analysis using the Piper diagram, is of the calcium carbonate type. Meanwhile, the remaining portion is separated into the calcium sulfate and sodium bicarbonate types.

This study aims to analyze the improvement in student learning outcomes, teacher and student activities, teacher skills in managing learning, and student responses to this model. The research employs a quantitative approach in the form of classroom action research (CAR). The subjects were 30 Class X IPS students at the Laboratory High School, Syiah Kuala University. Data were collected through tests, observations, and questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive percentage statistics. The results indicate significant improvements in various aspects. Individual mastery increased from 40% (Cycle I) to 70% (Cycle II) and 93% (Cycle III), while classical mastery rose from 30% to 60% and 90%, respectively. Teacher and student activities also improved, from 70% (Cycle I) to 100% (Cycle III). Teacher skills in managing learning increased from moderate (score 2.26) in Cycle I to very good (score 3.83) in Cycle III. Additionally, 92% of students reported that this model enhanced their understanding, motivation, and enjoyment of learning. Thus, the Everyone is a Teacher Here model, supported by Quizizz Media, has proven effective in improving Geography learning outcomes among Class X IPS students at the Laboratory High School, Syiah Kuala University, while also increasing student engagement, teaching effectiveness, and creating a more interactive and enjoyable learning experience.
