Abstract

Construction of physical infrastructure resulted in reducing vegetation cover land. This problem has an impact on weather conditions, namely temperature and humidity, and the index of comfort for the citizens of the city. This study aims to find out (1) Changes in Open Space City of Banda Aceh for five years, from 2012 - 2017; (2) the connection between temperature and RTH relative humidity; (3) Comfort index based on the Temperature Humadity Index (THI) in the city of Banda Aceh; and (4) Comfort index based on the adequacy of green open space. The research method uses a quantitative approach. Sources of research data are Landsat Remote Sensing imagery and field measurements for temperature and humidity data. Data is processed by using GIS, product moment correlation analysis, determine the comfort index using the Temperature Humadity Index (THI) formula. Additionally, based on the results of data processing, it was concluded that (1) there was a reduction in green open space of 299 ha for five years in Banda Aceh, only Syiah Kuala District had a proportional open space area; (2) The correlation coefficient between temperature and relative humidity is -0.78 or in the strong category; (3) Comfort index based on THI Banda Aceh in the uncomfortable category; and (4) the lowest RTH with THI is 28.1 in Hutan Kota Trembesi, Jaya Baru District, while the highest THI RTH is 30.8 in Blang Padang Field, Baiturrahman District.

Abstract

Salah satu yang mempengaruhi indikator sumber daya manusia adalah pendidikan. Guru merupakan profesi sebagai suatu pekerjaan spesialisasi akademik dalam waktu yang relatif lama di perguruan tinggi. Pemahaman terkait dengan kompetensi guru sangat penting dimiliki oleh seorang calon guru karena hal tersebut dapat mempengaruhi kualitas kinerja sebagai guru yang profesional. Kompetensi guru tersebut dikenal dengan kompetensi pedagogik, profesional, sosial dan kepribadian. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana kompetensi guru mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Geografi FKIP Unsyiah sebagai calon guru geografi? Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kompetensi guru pada mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Geografi FKIP Unsyiah sebagai calon guru geografi. Pendekatan deskripsi kuantitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk menemukan jawaban dari rumusan masalah. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Geografi FKIP Unsyiah angkatan 2015 dan 2016 yang sudah dinyatakan lulus matakuliah Pengajaran Mikro dan Magang III yang berjumlah 50 orang. Dikarenakan jumlah populasi sedikit dan dapat dijangkau maka penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik total sampling sehingga yang menjadi sampel pada penelitian ini keseluruhan dari populasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara penyebaran soal tes kepada responden. Data tersebut dianalisis menggunakan rumus persentase statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kompetensi guru mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Geografi sebagai calon guru berada pada kategori sedang, yaitu sebanyak 22 responden (44%). Sebanyak 12 responden (24%) berada pada kategori tinggi, 15 responden (30%) berada pada kategori rendah dan 1 responden (2%) berada pada kategori  sangat rendah.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bagaimana kontribusi dari mata pelajaran geografi dalam rangka meningkatkan semangat bela negara pada siswa SMA di Provinsi Aceh.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam artikel ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif, dan studi literatur (studi kepustakaan) dari berbagai sumber seperti buku, jurnal, peraturan perundang-undangan dan surat kabar berupa media cetak/media online)  yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini. Terakhir, teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode delphi. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini yaitu: semangat bela negara merupakan program yang sedang gencarnya digalakkan oleh pemerintah dewasa ini, bela negara dapat dilakukan oleh seluruh masyarakat sesuai dengan kategori dan usianya masing-masing. Sebagai contoh melalui pembelajaran di SMA, salah satunya pada MAPEL Geografi terdapat pembahasan tentang materi yang dapat menggugah minat siswa untuk menjaga/membela keutuhan negara. Sehingga peran guru geografi sangat strategis dalam meningkatkan semangat bela negara, dan diharapkan pula kesadaran siswa melalui proses internalisasi dikategorikan berhasil, serta berdampak positif terhadap keutuhan Negara Indonesia. Terakhir, diharapkan agar pemerintah dapat menjadikan geografi sebagai mata pelajaran wajib untuk peserta didik di Indonesia, hal ini dikarenakan MAPEL Geografi sangat strategis dalam meningkatkan semangat bela negara pada siswa SMA.

Abstract

This study aims to identification of visual-spatial intelligence and intrapersonal intelligence and their relationship to the learning outcomes of social studies students of Islamic school. The study population was students of Al Azhar Islamic Junior High School Banda Aceh, Indonesia and taken a sample of 50 students using random sampling techniques. The results of the multiple correlation coefficient analysis are 0.375, which means that there is a low relationship. The effect of being given visual-spatial intelligence and intrapersonal intelligence with social studies learning outcomes is 14.07% and the remaining 85.93% is influenced by other variables outside the research. Hypothesis testing shows that there is a significant relationship between visual-spatial intelligence and intrapersonal intelligence with learning outcomes of social studies. This finding is expected to be used by teachers in developing learning methods that can hone various types of intelligence in students to provide an influence for improving learning outcomes

Abstract

Teachers have an important role in shaping the character of students. So the purpose of this study is to (1) determine the role of teachers in building character, (2) determine the level of environmental care for students. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. The entire research population was 25 teachers and 267 students in grades VII-IX. Sampling with random sampling technique. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to respondents. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistical percentage formula. The results of data processing obtained: from 25 teachers, it is known that 2 respondents (8%) in very high category, 6 respondents (24%) in high category, 12 respondents (48%) in medium category, 1 respondent (4%) in low category, and 4 respondents (16%) are very low, so that the teacher's role in the formation of environmental character is the largest in the category. (2) Of the 50 students, 6 respondents (12%) were in the very high category, 7 respondents (14%) were in the high category, 22 respondents (44%) were in the medium category, 12 respondents (24%) were in the low category, and 3 respondents (6%) ) ) category is very low, so that the main environmental care level is in the medium category.

Abstract

Indonesia is a region that is vulnerable to earthquake and tsunami disasters. As a mitigation effort a disaster vulnerability map is needed. This study aims to produce a tsunami vulnerability map of the environment by implementing a geographic information system (GIS) in Aceh Barat District. Tools and materials used are: 1) computer device assisted by ArcGis Software version 10.4.1. 2) Parameter map (Land use map in West Aceh District, Map of river border distance, Beach border distance, Map of Aceh Barat District elevation map, West Aceh District slope map). Data were analyzed by scoring and weighting with overlay techniques. The results showed that the area with a very high vulnerability category was at the mouth of the river and the area of ​​the Woyla River, Bubon River, and Meureubo River with an area of ​​up to 10 . Areas with a very low vulnerability category are in the Sungai Mas and Pante Ceureumen Districts with an area of ​​1611.. Suggestions in this research are the need for more specific mapping, such as mapping of social, economic, and physical vulnerability, so that the impact of the tsunami disaster from various vulnerability factors can be minimized

Abstract

The time token learning model is a type of learning characterized by time marks or time limits. Talking chips, namely learning carried out in small groups, each member brings several objects or signs that function to mark when they have an opinion by inserting a sign in one place. Flashcard media is visual learning media that contains words, images, or a combination thereof. This research compares geography learning outcomes using the Time Token learning model with the Talking Chips model assisted by Flashcard media for students at SMA Negeri 3 Kuala, Nagan Raya Regency. This research uses a quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental Design type of research. The samples in this study were class X IPS 1 students as experimental class I and class X IPS 2 students as experiment II. Research data collection uses tests. Analysis of this research data uses normality, homogeneity and hypothesis testing. Based on the results of the data analysis, it is known that the data is regular and homogeneous. Furthermore, the hypothesis test results obtained a t count value of 2.268 > t table 1.671. Based on the t count and t table values, it is known that t count > t table so that Ha is accepted. So, it is concluded that the learning outcomes of students taught using the Time Token learning model assisted by Flashcard media are better than the learning outcomes of students taught using the Talking Chips learning model assisted by Flashcard media in class X geography subjects at SMA Negeri 3 Kuala, Nagan Raya Regency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk; (1) mengetahui pola komunikasi antarbudaya masyarakat suku Jawa dengan masyarakat asli Aceh; (2) mengidentifikasi masalah-masalah komunikasi antarbudaya masyarakat suku Jawa dengan masyarakat asli Aceh. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif, yang berusaha menggambarkan suatu gejala sosial dan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara mendalam, observasi dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian ini medeskripsikan pola budaya yang berbeda antar masyarakat suku Jawa dengan masyarakat asli suku Aceh. Masyarakat asli Aceh memiliki pola budaya Low Context dan Masculinity, sedangkan masyarakat suku Jawa memiliki pola budaya High Context dan Femininity. Pola komunikasi yang terjalin antara masyarakat suku Jawa dengan masyarakat asli suku Aceh telah memasuki tahap komunikasi antarbudaya yang dinamis, karena telah melalui tahap interaktif dan transaksional. Masalah komunikasi antarbudaya yang terjadi yaitu, dalam penggunaan bahasa, persepsi, bentuk-bentuk komunikasi nonverbal, makanan dan interaksi sosial, tetapi keduanya mampu memaknai dan memahami bentuk kebudayaan yang berbeda.

Abstract

Abstract. The high number of adolescent marriages at an early age does not matter to the community in Seulimum sub-district, although the government has limited the minimum age of women and men to marry in Indonesia, the age limit is not a primary consideration of adolescents located in Seulimum Sub- Aceh Besar District. The purpose of this study is to detect the main factors that cause high rates of early marriage in adolescents in the District of Seulimum Aceh Besar District. The research used descriptive analysis method percentage for data processing. The population in this study amounted to 205 souls and the sample of 40 people. Data collection techniques are questionnaires that are closed and observation. Based on data processing obtained, less agree (20.5%), disagree (10.5%), so it can be concluded that most (69%) of seulimum subdistrict support the decision to marry at a young age, Islamic religious culture in society. Also, as a result of non-formal education of adolescent girls in traditional pesantren in the community, coupled with adolescent girls is not required to continue education to a higher level. In the end, make other teenage girls to follow peers who have been married at an early age in the surrounding community.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran memegang fungsi esensial untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran discovery learning dengan berbantuan media maket terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimental design yang melibatkan kelompok kontrol dan eksperimen. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes (pre-test dan post-test) berupa soal pilihan ganda yang valid dan realiabel. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji statistik parametrik t-test. Berdasarkan uji prasyarat t-test yang terdiri dari normalitas dan homogenitas didapatkan data penelitian normal dan homogen sehingga dapat dilakukan uji t. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa nilai thitung ttabel (4,601,68) yang berarti hipotesis diterima yang berarti penerapan model discovery learning dengan menggunakan media maket secara signifikan berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di MAN 2 Aceh Barat. Penerapan model pembelajaran discovery learning yang berbantuan media maket tidak hanya mendukung potensi berpikir kritis siswa secara optimal, tetapi juga sebagai keharusan bagi para pendidik untuk terus menerapkan model pembelajaran aktif dan penyelidikan kritis untuk mempersiapkan generasi penerus yang sesuai dengan tuntutan pendidikan di era industry 5.0.
