Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of load mass on the damping coefficient value. The method used in this research is an experimental method where loads with varying masses of 100gr, 120gr, and 140gr are oscillated into three types of liquid, namely water, our oil, and tropical oil. The analysis is based on damped oscillations using Python software which aims to process the data because with the training model in it it is hoped that it will be able to provide more accurate results. Based on the results of data analysis, the damping coefficients (b) for water, minyak kita oil, and tropical oil are respectively (0.0412, 0.0505, 0.0533), (0.1068, 0.1181, 0.1364), and (0.1035, 0.1299, 0.1436). These results indicate that the greater the mass of the load, the greater the resulting damping coefficient.

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis dan karakterisasi senyawa silika (SiO2) berbahan dasar batuan vulkanik di Pulau Ambon yang diekstraksi menggunakan metode kopresipitasi. Hal ini dikarenakan material senyawa silika merupakan salah satu material maju yang saat ini berperan pesat dalam dunia industri karena memiliki banyak keunggulan. Proses analisis dilakukan terhadap hasil pengujian karakterisasi menggunakan beberapa instrumen, antara lain XRF, XRD, dan SEM. Berdasarkan hasil uji XRF, serbuk silika mampu dimurnikan menjadi sebesar 47,40 wt %. Hal ini dikarenakan metode kopresipitasi mampu menghilangkan impuritas pengotor yang terkandung didalam batuan vulkanik. Kemudian untuk mengetahui fasa, struktur morfologi, dan ukuran partikel dari serbuk silika maka dilakukan uji XRD dan SEM. Berdasarkan hasil uji diketahui bahwa serbuk silika memiliki fasa amorf dengan posisi puncak  yang paling kuat pada sudut 2θ = 23.68˚. Hasil citra SEM menunjukkan adanya aglomerasi dan menghasilkan distribusi ukuran partikel tertinggi berada pada rentang  11-15 nm dengan ukuran partikel rata-rata sebesar 13,824 nm.   Kata  kunci—Batuan Vulkanik, Kopresipitasi, nano-Silika Amorf   ABSTRACT   This research aims to analyze and characterize silica compounds (SiO2) derived from volcanic rocks on the Ambon Island that were extracted using the co-precipitation method. This is because silica compound materials are one of the advanced materials that are currently playing a rapid role in the industrial world because they have many advantages. The analysis process was carried out on the results of characterization tests using several instruments, including XRF, XRD, and SEM. Based on the XRF test results, silica powder was able to be purified to 47.40 wt%. This is because the coprecipitation method is able to remove impurities contained in volcanic rocks. Then, to determine the phase, morphological structure and particle size of the silica powder, XRD and SEM tests were carried out. Based on the test results, it is known that silica powder has an amorphous phase with a strong board peak at at 2θ angles = 23.68˚. The results of the SEM image show that there is agglomerate and produce the highest particle size distribution in the range of 11-15 nm with an average size of 13.824 nm.   Keywords—Volcanic rocks, Co-Precipitation, Amorphous nano-Silica

Abstract

In the last decade, many studies of physics learning at the junior high school level seem to show that student-centered interactions have a greater effect than teacher-centered interactions in improving physics learning outcomes. Based on this premise,Think-pair-share (TPS) which is one type of cooperative learning model developed by Frank Lyman and his colleagues from the University of Maryland (1981) is a teaching strategy that promotes active and collaborative learning; however, its effectiveness and application are very good in physics learning. The purpose of this study is to analyze student learning outcomes using the TPS type cooperative model on the material of substances and their forms. This study uses a descriptive model with 24 students as subjects divided into four groups. The implementation of the study on SMP Xaverius Passo. Data were collected through tests, namely pretest and posttest and observations using student worksheets and affective and psychomotor assessments of students. The results showed that there was a significant increase in student learning outcomes after the implementation of the TPS model, both from cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. This study recommends the use of the TPS cooperative learning model as a solution to improve the quality of physics learning in schools

Abstract

Decreased well productivity is a common problem in the petroleum industry caused by decreased flow rates and reservoir pressure. One solution to overcome this problem is the use of artificial lift, namely the gas lift method. Gas lift is a method that injects high-pressure gas into the well to reduce hydrostatic pressure, allowing the fluid to rise to the surface. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the gas lift system in increasing the productivity of well X using commercial software. The method used in the research is a quantitative method with the help of commercial software used as a data processing tool. The results showed that the optimum production rate that can be achieved at well X is 378.32 STB/day with an optimum gas injection rate of 0.3 MMscf/day. In addition, several parameters affecting well productivity were analyzed, namely water cut, reservoir pressure, and gas injection rate where it was found that every 10% increase in water cut caused a decrease in production of 40-43 STB/day, while a decrease in reservoir pressure to 500 psig decreased production from 435.5 STB/day to 162.3 STB/day. Increasing the gas injection rate is proven to increase oil production, but there is an optimal limit to avoid increasing operational costs that are not balanced with increased production.

Abstract

Minimnya kegiatan sosialisasi mengenai konsep dasar materi pelajaran di SMP Laboratorium UNPATTI mengakibatkan ketidakpahaman dan berkurangnya partisipasi aktif dari siswa dalam proses pembelajaran khususnya fisika. Hal ini tercermin dalam rendahnya rata-rata tingkat respon siswa pada hasil pre-test, yang menunjukkan kurangnya keterlibatan aktif dan pemahaman siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan minat siswa, kegiatan pengabdian ini difokuskan pada pengenalan alat ukur dasar fisika dan penerapannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 34 siswa kelas 7 SMP Laboratorium UNPATTI, yang dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode CPDL (ceramah plus demonstrasi dan latihan). Selama kegiatan, siswa diajak untuk memahami konsep dasar alat ukur fisika dengan cara yang lebih praktis dan menarik, yang bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan pemahaman langsung dan relevansi materi pelajaran dengan kehidupan mereka. Evaluasi hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam respon dan minat siswa terhadap pembelajaran fisika, yang menunjukkan keberhasilan metode yang diterapkan dalam meningkatkan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam proses belajar

Abstract

Tantangan ketahanan pangan merupakan tantangan yang dirasakan baik pada skala lokal maupun internasional. Pada skala lokal seperti Provinsi Maluku, telah ditunjukkan dalam beberapa tahun belakangan dengan adanya penurunan hasil panen beberapa komoditas tanaman pertanian. Penurunan tersebut disebabkan oleh perubahan iklim, kekeringan, dan gagal panen yang terjadi di beberapa daerah. Oleh karena itu pengabdian ini berfokus pada pemetaan karakteristik tanah berdasarkan hasil pengukuran menggunakan metode geofisika seperti resistivitas tanah serta pengukuran sifat fisik tanah lainnya yaitu porositas, kemampuan penyimpanan air, dan tekstur tanah. Hal ini bertujuan untuk menyediakan informasi mengenai jenis-jenis tanaman yang sesuai dengan karakteristik tanah setempat. Adapun kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di desa Haruru, Seram Bagian Barat, Maluku, pada kelompok tani Taman Sari Indah. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian adalah anggota kelompok tani mendapatkan pengetahuan akan tanaman potensial di masing-masing titik lahan yang telah diukur, sehingga diharapkan anggota kelompok tani kedepannya dapat menanam tanaman sesuai rekomendasi agar dapat meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian dan pendapatan petani.

Abstract

Physics is one of the subjects that is the basic foundation for the development of science and technological progress. In physics learning, emphasis is placed on the process of forming knowledge through discovery and the presentation of regular data supported by practical activities. However, in reality there are still many schools that do not carry practical physics activities. Therefore, this dedication regarding measuring equipment education using practical methods for students at SMA Negeri 27 Central Maluku aims to help students in learning so they can improve learning outcomes and provide information about appropriate learning methods. This service activity was carried out on 21 class X students who had previously studied the same material conventionally from their teachers. The Community Service (PKM) activities employ the service-learning method, which consists of four stages: investigation, preparation, action, and reflection. The results of educational service activities can be shown by data on initial scores (pre-test) and final scores (post-test) obtained by students, namely an average initial score of 20.48 and an average final score of 65.24. These results show a significant increase in learning outcomes. In this way, educational service activities for measuring equipment using the practicum method have been carried out well. This is also demonstrated by the students' enthusiasm in participating in practicum activities.

Abstract

Penurunan daya baterai smartphone menjadi sebuah permasalahan tersendiri bagi para pengguna smartphone, dikarenakan belum adanya kepastian waktu pengisian ulang baterai dalam selang waktu tertentu setelah pengisian terakhir kali. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut digunakan sebuah persamaan kinetika reaksi orde satu untuk memperkirakan penurunan daya baterai berdasarkan nilai konstanta laju penurunan daya baterai ( ). Pada penelitian ini smartphone menjalankan tiga aplikasi secara bergantian yaitu permainan PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), Zoom, dan YouTube selama 100 menit untuk diukur penurunan daya baterai. Selanjutnya hasil pengukuran dianalisis menggunakan persamaan kinetika reaksi orde satu sehingga diperoleh nilai konstanta laju penurunan daya baterai ( ) untuk permainan PUBG, Zoom, dan YouTube masing-masing sebesar 0,0022 menit-1, 0,0014 menit-1, dan 0,0011 menit-1. Berdasarkan hasil simulasi, permainan PUBG membutuhkan waktu yang lebih cepat mencapai daya 50% dibandingkan aplikasi Zoom dan YouTube. Selanjutnya, disimpulkan persamaan kinetika reaksi orde satu dapat digunakan untuk memperkirakan kapan smartphone harus diisi ulang sesuai dengan daya minimal baterai yang ditetapkan para pengguna.

Abstract

Corrosion analysis was performed on stainless steel (SS304) coated with silica extracted from silica sand in Hukurila Village using the coprecipitation method. The XRF results showed an increase in silica content from 58.118% to 81.247%, indicating high purity. XRD testing revealed that the silica was amorphous, while SEM analysis showed that the silica powder particles were irregular in shape and size, and tended to undergo agglomeration. The silica was then applied as a coating on SS304 using Nippon Paint with silica-to-paint weight ratios of 95:5, 90:10, and 80:20. The samples were tested in a 3.5% NaCl solution for 7 days using polarization methods on a potentiostat to measure corrosion resistance. The results showed that the 80:20 weight ratio provided the highest improvement in corrosion resistance. This enhancement is attributed to the more compact and uniform coating structure formed at higher silica loading, which effectively minimizes micro-pores, strengthens the barrier effect, and suppresses localized pitting corrosion.
