Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare has drawn a lot of interest, especially in health counseling. Research on embodied AI has demonstrated emerging clinical significance for therapeutic applications in mental health services. AI in health counseling has a bright future, certain issues still need to be resolved. It is important to carefully negotiate the ethical difficulties surrounding the use of AI in healthcare. Examining the possible advantages, difficulties, and prospects of AI-enhanced health counseling, this literature review explores the state of the field today. The development of a taxonomy of AI dangers in the healthcare domain aims to tackle new issues arising from the application of AI in the medical and healthcare industries. A major benefit of using AI-enhanced health counseling is that it may offer individualized therapies. This individualized approach reflects a holistic view of health by taking into account aspects of mental, emotional, and social well-being in addition to physical health concerns. AI-enhanced health counseling may be able to help with the accessibility and cost issues that come with traditional counseling services. Regardless of location, virtual counselors provide handy support via computers, tablets, and smartphones. When compared to conventional in-person counseling sessions, these AI-based therapies more affordable and scalable.

Abstract

Cyberbullying and suicidal ideation are ongoing social issues in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence between cyberbullying and suicide ideation, as well as the role of depression as a mediator variable. A quantitative research approach was used, and 454 adolescents in Indonesia aged between 18 to 25 years old (mean age = 19.3) were recruited through a purposive sampling by completing a questionnaire consisting of the Cyberbullying Survey (CBS), Beck Depression Inventory (BDI II), General Help Seeking Questionnaire (GHSQ), and Beck Scale for Suicide Ideation (BSSI). The Jamovi 2.5.3.0 software analyzed data through descriptive statistics, regression analysis, and mediator analysis. The findings of the study showed that there was a significant effect on the role of depression as a mediator in the relationship between cyberbullying and suicidal ideation. Additionally, 384 (84.6%) of the female respondents reported having experienced cyberbullying, compared to only 70 (15.4%) of the male respondents. Depression as a mediator variable has a partially mediated effect. The effective indirect contribution is 59.7%. Other variables account for 40.3% of the results. The findings revealed that depression serves as a significant mediator in the relationship between cyberbullying victimization and suicidal ideation. This study provides critical insights into the role of depression in the context of cyberbullying and offers proactive guidance for preventing the negative mental health impacts of cyberbullying among adolescents.

Abstract

This study explores the complex relationship between anxiety, stress, and the digitalization of education among students. The transition to online learning and the increasing reliance on digital tools have intensified the challenges students face in adapting to new educational technologies. The demands for constant connectivity, the overwhelming amount of information, and the need to navigate digital platforms contribute to heightened stress and anxiety. Additionally, the reduction in face-to-face interactions and the prevalence of social comparison on digital platforms have further exacerbated mental health issues. This review synthesizes existing research on the impacts of digital education, emphasizing the need for strategies that address students’ psychological well-being. By understanding the factors that contribute to anxiety and stress, educators can create more supportive digital learning environments, promoting both academic success and mental health.

Abstract

The prevalence of mental health disorders in Indonesia from the 2018 Basic Health Research data shows anxiety disorders of 9.8%, depression of 6%. Whereas, in 2022 from I-NAMHS data, the value increased 26.7% for anxiety disorders and total mental disorders of 34.9%, especially among adolescents and students. This study aims to explore the eating behavior and mental health status of college students in Indonesia. This study employed a quantitative descriptive research design with a cross-sectional approach. The inclusion criteria for this study included college students in Indonesia from diploma/S1/S2 programs aged 16-30 years. The exclusion criteria for the study were research respondents who were diagnosed by a doctor with chronic diseases such as diabetes, kidney failure, heart disease, stroke, mental or psychiatric disorders. Quantitative research data collection used online questionnaires (DASS-21 and EBPQ) which were distributed to respondents using social media platforms. The sample size of the study was 549 people. The sample selection used the Convenience Sampling method. Data were analyzed using STATA. The study showed that 549 respondents from 32 provinces in Indonesia; 68 (12.39%) people experienced depression; 166 (30.24%) people experienced anxiety, and 37 (6.74%) people experienced stress. Stress, anxiety, and depression showed a significant relationship to emotional eating behavior, fast food planning, and skipping meals (p<0.05). This study can provide a deeper understanding of stress, anxiety, and depression that can affect eating behavior, so that it can be the basis for public education and interventions for healthier eating patterns to improve mental and physical health.

Abstract

Multitasking is becoming a crucial part of everyday life for knowledge workers, students, and anybody navigating technologically advanced environments in the digital age. Emerging empirical research shows that digital multitasking imposes significant cognitive and psychological demands, despite being frequently seen as an indication of efficiency. The effects of digital multitasking on mental health, productivity, and cognitive load are examined critically in this article. We contend, based on theoretical frameworks and empirical data, that the apparent increases in productivity are mostly a mirage, masking significant reductions in working memory, attention span, and emotional control. This research provides a thorough examination of the trade-offs related to continuous task-switching in the digital setting by utilizing a conceptual framework that connects digital multitasking with cognitive and psychological effects. Current research is compiled to show the wider repercussions on personal health and productivity at work, highlighting the necessity of evidence-based tactics to lessen the negative consequences of multitasking in today's digital world.

Abstract

Adolescence is a critical developmental stage marked by identity formation and heightened susceptibility to peer influence. This study examined the relationship between peer relationships and juvenile delinquency among 96 adolescents aged 15–21 years, selected through accidental sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed with Pearson correlation and simple linear regression. Results indicated that peer relationships significantly influenced juvenile delinquency (p = 0.003, r = -0.301), with higher-quality peer relationships associated with lower levels of delinquent behavior. These findings highlight the importance of school-based interventions and peer mentoring programs to promote supportive peer environments and reduce deviant behaviors among adolescents.

Abstract

Nutritional issues are still problematic for developing countries, especially in Southeast ASIA—activities as an effort to improve children's nutritional status. The method is carried out through 3 stages: preparation (coordination with partners, preparation of information media, namely exercise books and videos, TB and BB measuring equipment); Implementation (measurement of BB, TB, and BMI, analysis of nutritional status of children, counseling with experts); and monitoring and evaluation (evaluation of program sustainability). Based on the results of the service carried out, 11 (55%) children were well-nourished, 3 (27.2%) children were overweight, and 7 (35%) children were obese. Education and monitoring of nutritional status are needed for children in the PRIA Kampung Bharu Malaysia area who neglect physical activities and consume balanced nutritional food.
