Abstract

Compliance of micronutrients supplement consumption was not affected by supplements formBackground: Taburia is micronutrient sprinkle produced by Ministry of Health Indonesia to overcome malnutrition problem in Indonesia. Compliance of Taburia consumption is an important indicator for the success of the supplementation program. Taburia’s compliance in some regions is low (<80%). Gummy candies are children’s favorable food product.Objective: To evaluate the compliance of micronutrient consumption in the form of sprinkle and gummy candies in children. Methods: This study was a quasi-experimental study with randomizedcontrol group design.Respondents are mother and children aged 36-59 months in Yogyakarta District. The children received supplementation of Taburia sprinkle or fortified gummy candies for 30 days.Results: The compliance of Taburia sprinkle and fortified gummy candies were 85.39% and 80.32% respectively, however it was not significantly different (p>0.05). Several factors affected the compliance level such as mother’s employment status, gender of the children, and age of the children. Conclusions: The compliance level of Taburia sprinkle and fortified gummy candies was similar. Hence fortified gummy candies could be used as an alternative of micronutrient supplement to overcome nutrition problem in Indonesia.

Abstract

Masa remaja merupakan masa dimana proses pertumbuhan terjadi dengan cepat, sehingga kebutuhan gizi pada masa remaja turut meningkat. Zat gizi yang kebutuhannya meningkat adalah zat besi. Kekurangan zat besi dianggap sebagai penyebab paling umum dari kejadian anemia secara global. Anemia dapat berisiko terjadi pada semua kelompok usia antara lain usia sekolah, remaja, wanita usia subur, dan ibu hamil.Penelitian ini termasuk kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian observasional analitik dan menggunakan desain cross sectional. Populasi yang digunakan adalah remaja putri SMP dan SMA di wilayah Bantul. Pemilihan sekolah dilakukan secara cluster random sampling dan jumlah sampel diambil menggunakan proportioned random sampling sebanyak 196 siswi. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah remaja putri yang bersekolah di Bantul dan memenuhi kriteria insklusi serta eksklusi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan responden dengan asupan zat besi kurang berstatus anemia sebesar 46,34%, sementara responden dengan asupan zat besi cukup berstatus anemia sebesar 53,66%. Hasil uji statistik diperoleh nilai p=0,182. Kesimpulan: Tidak ada hubungan antara konsumsi sumber zat besi dengan kejadian anemia pada remaja putri (p-value>0,05).

Abstract

Background: Female adolescents are ten times more likely to experience anemia than male adolescents because they experience menstrual bleeding every month, low iron and vitamin C intake, and lack of knowledge about iron deficiency anemia. Adolescent anemia is also caused by a lack of knowledge about balanced nutritional intake. Bantul is ranked second in adolescent anemia in DIY. Objectives: This study aims to analyze the relationship between nutritional knowledge regarding anemia, vitamin C intake, and iron intake of female adolescents in Bantul, Yogyakarta Special Region, Indonesia. Methods: This research is an observational study with a cross-sectional design. The research using cluster random sampling. The clusters that were randomly selected to be studied were 6 out of 17 districts. In each sub-district cluster, 5 SMA and 3 SMP were randomly selected. The study was conducted at Bantul Middle School and High School with female adolescents aged 13-18 years who were randomly selected from all classes from January to September 2022 with a sample size of 186 people. Primary data consisted of Fe and Vitamin C intake using the Semi-Food Frequency Questionnaire, nutrition knowledge using a validated questionnaire, and Hb levels using a capillary blood rapid test. The data were then tested statistically using STATA software with the Correlation Test. Results: From this study, 186 female adolescent respondents were obtained with 36 (19.35%) respondents having anemia, 150 (80.65%) not anemia. The median intake of iron for female adolescents was 12.5 mg/dl, the median vitamin C for female adolescents was 57.4 mg/dl, and respondents with good nutrition knowledge were 71 people, 115 people with poor knowledge. Intake of Fe, Vitamin C, and nutritional knowledge related to anemia were not significantly related to anemia in female adolescents in Bantul, DIY (P>0.05). Conclusions: Nutritional knowledge regarding anemia, intake of Fe, and Vitamin C were not significantly related to anemia of female adolescents in Bantul, DIY, but intake of Fe and vitamin C was mostly still less than nutritional requirements.

Abstract

Pocket money, food prices, and meal program assistance all contribute to the affordability of eating. This factor will influence the consumption of unhealthy foods. Food consumption is one of the factors that reduce productivity, particularly in learning performance. Student achievement is an important factor in determining students' future success. This study aims to determine the relationship between food affordability and student achievement in Lampung. This study employed a quantitative method, which was included in the category of empirical observational analytic research with a cross-sectional design. The sampling technique used in this study was snowball sampling, and the sample size was 196 active students in Lampung. Food affordability was collected through a questionnaire, while learning achievement was collected through the value of the GPA (Student Cumulative Index) in the previous year, and the analysis used in this study was the Analysis of the Independent Sample T-Test test. The findings revealed that there was no relationship between food affordability and learning achievement. These findings can be seen in the calculation of the independent t-test test results; if the indicator of food expenditure is P 0.064 > 0.05, purchasing power is P 0.96 > 0.05, and food program assistance is P 0.24 > 0.05, then Ho is accepted as indicating no relationship. Indicators of food expenditure, purchasing power, and food program assistance show no relationship between eating affordability and learning achievement. It is hoped that students will choose to eat according to balanced nutrition guidelines in order to focus more on receiving the material provided and thus improve their achievement.Komponen keterjangkuan makan terdiri uang saku, harga makanan dan bantuan program makan. komponen ini di akan mempengatuhi asupan makan yang tidak sehat. asupan makanan menjadi salah satu faktor menurunya produktivitas terutama pada perfoma belajar. Prestasi belajar mahasiswa merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam kesuksesan mahasiswa dimasa depan. Penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan keterjangkauan makanan terhadap terhadap prestasi mahasiswa di lampung. Penelitian ini dengan metode kuantitatif yang termasuk jenis penelitian empirik observasional analitik dengan desain cross sectional. Teknik sampling  yang di gunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan snowball sampling, jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 196 mahasiswa aktif di kota lampung. Pengumpulan keterjangkauan makan di peroleh dari kuesioner, sedangkan untuk prestasi belajar diperoleh dengan nilai IPK (Indeks Kumalatif Mahasiswa) satu tahun terakhir dan analisis ini yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Analisis uji Independent Sample T-Test. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Tidak ada hubungan keterjangkauan makan dengan prestasi belajar. hasil ini bisa di lihat dari perhitungan Hasil uji Independet t-test di ketahui indikator pengeluaran untuk makan P 0,064 > 0,05, Daya beli P 0,96> 0,05, dan bantuan program makan P 0,24> 0,05, maka Ho diterima menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan. Komponen keterjangkauan makan tidak berhubungan dengan prestasi belajar baik dari indikator Pengeluaran Makan, Daya Beli dan bantuan program makan. Harapannya Mahasiswa Memilih makan sesuai dengan pedoman gizi seimbang membantu lebih berkosentrasi dalam menerima materi  yang di berikan sehingga dapat meningkatkan prestasi.

Abstract

Abstract: Background: The prevalence number of obesity nutritional status in Bantul disctrict in 2018 was 13.32%. The status in adolescents is caused by various factors such as poor sleeping quality which increases screen time exposure in adolescents. Objective: The study is to investigate the relation of screen time and sleeping quality to obesity incidence in female adolescents in Bantul disctrict. Method: The study used quantitative method with case control design. The samples in the study were 13 – 18 years old female adolescents in Bantul district taken randomly by using Cluster Random Sampling technique based on sub-district resulted in 288 female adolescents data consisting of 73 groups of case and 215 control groups. The instruments of the study were questionnaire of respondents’ characteristics, QueST questionnaire, PSQI questionnaire, and antropometri measurement and the data were analyzed by using Chi-square. Result: The result of the study showed that there was no significant relation between screen time and obesity incidence in female adolescents in Bantul district (p= 0.967; OR = 1.12; 95%CI = 0.634-1.978) and there was no significant relation between sleeping quality and obesity in female adolescents in Bantul district (p= 0.672; OR = 0.98; 95%CI = 0.551-1.756). Conclusion: The study concludes that there is no significant relation between screen time and sleeping quality and obesity incidence in female adolescents in Bantul district during Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

It is estimated that approximately 30% of the global population suffers from anemia. Iron deficiency anemia has harmful impacts on children, adolescents, and pregnant women. This study aimed to investigate the nutritional composition and consumer acceptance of wikara cookies for the prevention of iron deficiency anemia. The research used experimental design with four treatments and two replications of completely randomized design (CRD). The collected data included nutritional analysis of protein, iron content, and consumer acceptance was evaluated through hedonic tests, which measured preferences for aroma, taste, texture, color, and overall perception of the cookies. The hedonic tests involved 30 semi-trained panelists selected through simple random sampling. Data analysis was done using One Way ANOVA. The results of the study show significant differences in nutritional composition and the acceptability of aroma, taste, color, and overall perception (p-value<0.05). However, no significant differences were observed in texture (p-value>0.05). The best formulation of the cookies was found in Formulation D, which contained 8.01 g of protein, 14.67 mg of iron, and received an acceptability rating of 3.10 (neutral).  In conclusion, this study shows differences in nutritional composition and consumer acceptance of wikara cookies for the prevention of iron deficiency anemia.Diperkirakan sekitar 30% penduduk dunia menderita anemia. Anemia defisiensi besi memiliki dampak berbahaya pada anak, remaja, dan ibu hamil. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui nilai gizi dan daya terima cookies wikara (wijen kacang merah) untuk mencegah anemia defisiensi besi. Penelitian bersifat eksperimental menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan dua kali pengulangan. Data yang dikumpulkan terdiri dari nilai gizi berupa protein, zat besi, dan daya terima berupa tingkat kesukaan terhadap aroma, rasa, tekstur, warna, dan keseluruhan cookies melalui uji hedonik. Uji hedonik dilakukan pada 30 panelis semi terlatih yang telah dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji One Way Anova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan nilai gizi dan daya terima cookies secara aroma, rasa, warna, dan keseluruhan (p-value<0.05), tetapi tidak berbeda secara tekstur (p-value>0.05). Cookies terbaik terdapat pada formulasi D dengan kandungan protein 8,01 g, zat besi 14,67 mg, dan nilai kesukaan 3,10 (netral). Kesimpulan: terdapat perbedaan nilai gizi dan daya terima cookies wikara (wijen kacang merah) untuk mencegah anemia defisiensi besi.

Abstract

Kemendikbudristek menganjurkan semua sekolah mulai mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar sebagai upaya perbaikan kualitas pembelajaran. Masalah stunting, menjadikan Ikatan Guru TK ABA (IGABA) merasa perlu memasukkan topik tentang Cegah Stunting ke dalam implementasi kurikulum merdeka. Tujuan: memfasilitasi mitra dalam Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka agar bisa mengintegrasikan tema stunting pada kurikulumnya. Metode: Community Development Methods, dengan sasaran IGABA di Gamping, sebanyak 70 peserta. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui workshop penyusunan rencana pembelajaran, integrasi program cegah stunting ke dalam kurikulum Merdeka, penyusunan alat peraga dan implementasinya. Hasil: Seluruh tahapan implementasi terlaksana dengan baik. Mean score pretes yaitu 59 dan postes meningkat menjadi 76. Terdapat perubahan hasil yang lebih baik, setelah dilakukan pendampingan penyusunan Kurikulum Merdeka. Simpulan: Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka pencegahan stunting dapat difahami dan diterapkan oleh guru IGABA.

Abstract

The nutritional status of children under five years old is influenced by their food intake and maternal feeding behavior. Research shows that mothers who work longer hours tend to have children with poor nutritional intake. Maternal behavior in providing food role models also has a significant effect on children's nutritional status. This study aims to find out the influence of dietary recommendations on toddlers nutritional status in working mothers. This research is an analytical observational empirical research with a cross sectional design. The reachable population is all working mothers who have toddlers in D.I. Yogyakarta. Samples were taken by purposive sampling. The research sample was 211 mother-toddler pairs. Data was collected using self-administered offline and online questionnaires consisting of questionnaires on respondent characteristics (mothers and toddlers), and a questionnaire for food role models, namely Musher-Eizenman's Comprehensive Feeding Practices Questionnaire. The statistical test carried out was the Kruskall Wallis test. The majority of mothers are 30 years old and have worked for around 5 years and the average income received is around 2 million rupiah. Most mothers work as private sector workers, with the majority holding positions as employees. After measuring the nutritional status of toddlers, it was found that the majority (59%) of toddlers had good nutrition (n=124). %). The highest average food role model score in the eating model component was 3.97 ± 0.67). The relationship between the three components of the food role model and nutritional status was analyzed, eating model (X2(2) = 2.516, p-value = 0.2842), food education (X2(2) = 0.847, p-value = 0.6547), and overall (X2(2) = 2.165, p-value = 0.3388). It was found that food role model is not significantly related to nutritional status of toddlers.

Abstract

Kapanewon Gamping merupakan lokasi fokus penanganan stunting dengan faktor resiko kasus anemia defisiensi besi remaja yang masih tinggi (12,8%). Dinas Kesehatan Sleman berupaya mengatasi stunting dengan meningkatkan jumlah kader posyandu remaja dengan menginisiasi pembentukan kader posyandu remaja "POKIZMA" (POjok gIZi dan kesehatan reMAja) pertama di PCA Gamping. Metode pemberdayaan masyarakat yang digunakan yaitu model Participatory Rural Appraisal yang terbagi dalam tiga tahapan yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan monev. Pada tahap persiapan dilakukan koordinasi dengan ketua PCA Gamping kemudian dilanjutkan sosialisasi untuk meningkatkan komitmen remaja. Tahap pelaksanaan berupa penyuluhan, pelatihan, dan simulasi penyelenggaraan posyandu. Kader posyandu yang terpilih merupakan wakil dari enam ranting 'Aisyiyah (Nogotirto, Balecatur, Banyuraden, Ambarketawang, Trihanggo Utara dan Trihanggo Selatan). Luaran dari kegiatan PKM ini terbentuk kader posyandu remaja yang pertama kali di PCA Gamping, terbentuk kader yang terlatih dan terampil, serta tersedia leaflet dan modul pedoman konseling. Adanya posyandu remaja POKIZMA mampu mengoptimalkan deteksi anemia defisiensi besi sejak dini, khususnya di Kapanewon Gamping.

Abstract

Kecamatan Mantrijeron masuk dalam lokus stunting. Posyandu Brotowali II menjadi mitra dalam PKM ini dengan jumlah 8 orang kader. Kader posyandu perlu bekerja keras untuk mencegah stunting dari kelompok usia balita dan ibu hamil. Asuhan gizi balita dan ibu hamil masih belum terintegrasi dengan baik. Konsep edukasi Family Center Maternity Care berbasis interdisiplin belum pernah diterapkan di wilayah ini, dan sebagian besar kader belum pernah melakukan layanan pendidikan kesehatan secara komprehensif yang melibatkan keluarga (Family-Center Maternity Care), belum adanya layanan pendidikan kesehatan dengan melibatkan lintas profesi (interdisciplinary), dan rendahnya cakupan kunjungan posyandu bagi ibu hamil dan balita. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan kapasitas kader Posyandu Brotowali II tentang upaya pencegahan dan penanganan stunting bagi Ibu hamil dan balita berbasis keluarga (FCMC) melalui pendekatan interdisciplinary (lintas profesi). Metode pada pengabdian ini adalah sosialisasi dan pelatihan tentang konsep FCMC (Family Care Maternity Care) dengan pendekatan interdisciplinary, pembentukan struktur pelayanan pendidikan kesehatan dengan melibatkan lintas profesi (interdisciplinary). Pendampingan kader saat melakukan implementasi kunjungan ke rumah dengan pendekatan keluarga melalui kegiatan skrining status gizi, status KEK, dan berbagi informasi/edukasi terkait program cegah stunting. Luaran pada pengabdian ini adalah peningkatan kapasitas kader dari sisi pengetahuan dan keterampilan pendampingan keluarga balita dan ibu hamil berbasis lintas profesi dan terbentuk layanan Pendidikan kesehatan berbasis interdisiplin. Capaian pengabdian minimal 75% dari total kader mampu menerapkan konsep FCMC dengan melibatkan profesi lain.
