Abstract

With increasing development in the construction sector, construction implementers are required to be faster and more efficient in completing project activities. The Permata River View housing development does not use BIM in its implementation. This research aims to carry out modeling with BIM software in 3D form and Quantity take-off. In this research, the Tekla Structures application will be used in the Permata River View housing complex. The modeling will start from the foundation, sloof, beams and columns along with the reinforcement. In this modeling, the material standards and concrete compressive strength are adjusted to SNI, the distribution of reinforcement in the Permata River View housing complex does not comply with the SRPKM and SRPMM stated in the SNI 2847:2019 regulations. However, the distribution of reinforcement is still in accordance with SNI. In this modeling we also get a comparison from Tekla Structures to RAB of 94.25% for concrete and 115.1% for reinforcement. The application of BIM using the Tekla Structures Application produces more accurate calculations and also makes work easier so it is faster, saves human resources and also and can be accounted for with objects that have been modeled in Tekla Structures

Abstract

This study aims to provide practical and applicable solutions to improve road safety on the Troop-Sindangkasih Road section in Majalengka Regency, West Java, by analyzing road visibility using empirical data and the Bina Marga method. The primary data consisted of looking for a literature review on the classification of road classes based on their functions, calculation of visibility, while for secondary data collected about the location map of this study. The results show that visibility planning can be improved to improve traffic efficiency and reduce the risk of accidents. The research could also consider the influence of different vehicle types and weather conditions on visibility requirements to refine the standards set by the Geometric Planning Procedures for Intercity Roads. It is also hoped that this research will increase awareness of the importance of visibility planning for overall road safety to avoid accidents.

Abstract

Natural disasters in the form of floods and erosion in remote area road networks pose challenges for the government. The involvement of community-based disaster management can make it easier for stakeholders to carry out disaster mitigation intelligently. Digital technology can provide information about disaster conditions and facilitate coordination between related parties in managing floods and landslides. This research aims to explore the cultural understanding of the local community to encourage community-based involvement in optimizing road infrastructure services that have been disrupted due to floods and landslides. This qualitative research method uses data from surveys, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), and in-depth interviews. Several community leaders, non-government organizations, and the government became sources of data and discussions. The research results are divided into four main results: 1) Based on exploring the cultural understanding of the local community about disasters, the community is very concerned about road safety and accessibility. Communities in the road network area have also understood the causes of floods and landslides that can disrupt road functions; 2) Culturally, the community is accustomed to and actively involved in disaster preparedness; 3) Hereditarily, the community has been an essential part of the disaster mitigation process; 4) The community feels comfortable using social media platforms to accelerate community communication in disaster mitigation and handling.

Abstract

Abstract

Bibliometric analysis of the use of PCI methods on roads, main corridors, airports and ports is a network of research from around the world on related topics. The main objective of this study is to see trends that continue to develop in various points of view. By capturing various studies from 2000 to 2023 using Crossref sources, 1000 studies with related topics were produced. This research accompaniment uses the help of Publish or Perish, which is then processed in the VOSviewer application with the Research Information Systems (RIS) format. There is a reasonably broad relationship in research keywords produced with the dominance of rigid pavement keywords (299 studies), pavement condition index (112 studies), road damage (79 studies), rehabilitation (63 studies), and other keywords with different number variations. The results of the conclusion data regarding the development of research on pavement condition index continue to increase continuously, with the highest number in 2022 (86 studies).

Abstract

The construction industry has a high rate of workplace accidents due to the low compliance of workers in using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). To address this issue, a community service program was conducted in the form of training on the introduction and simulation of PPE usage aimed at improving the knowledge, skills, and awareness of construction workers. The program was implemented using an educational–participatory approach through four stages: needs analysis, occupational safety counseling, simulation-based field practice training, and evaluation with monitoring. The evaluation results showed an increase in participants’ knowledge by 36,48%, from an average pre-test score of 56.33% to 95,81%, and an improvement in compliance with PPE usage by 36.42%. Moreover, 92,22% of participants reported becoming more disciplined in using PPE after the training. This program demonstrates that simulation-based methods effectively foster safe work behavior. It is recommended that similar training be conducted regularly, supported by internal supervision and reminder posters to strengthen a sustainable safety culture.
