Abstract

This study aims to see the efficiency level of insurance companies, especially general insurances in Indonesia, both Islamic insurance (known as takaful) and conventional insurance using nonparametric approach. The study period of this study was five years from 2016 to 2020, especially highlighting the year of 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic spread in Indonesia, and whether it impacts the insurance companies. The findings of this study indicate that the average efficiency score of Sharia and conventional insurance in Indonesia from 2016 to 2020 has fluctuated differently, with conventional insurance decreasing and sharia insurance increasing following a dip. This may explain why COVID-19 has had little effect on the insurance business. COVID-19 has a detrimental impact on the efficiency of conventional insurance but does not affect Islamic insurance, according to the DEA research. Additionally, this study classifies the improvement potential for each input and output variable.

Abstract

Moral and character education faces great challenges in today's modern society. Moral education for children is often hampered by their increasingly modern and complex environment. This research uses a qualitative approach with a library research method. The data used to explore, analyse, and interpret this research comes from primary data sources, namely books on neuroscience, education, hifdz al-'Aql, and secondary data from scientific journals, articles, documents, and relevant digital sources. The purpose of this research is to integrate neuroscience methods with hifdz al-'Aql in children's moral education with the aim of developing better character building strategies. The findings of this study show that the combination of neuroscience and the principle of hifdz al-'Aql can provide a comprehensive approach to moral education, by understanding that the moral learning process does not only depend on the delivery of values, but also on the development of children's brains and cognitive abilities. This research confirms, this interdisciplinary use has the potential to produce an educational framework that is more flexible and responsive to the challenges of the times, providing teachers with more efficient tools to prepare a generation that is more in line with its nature.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMA Negeri I Indramayu, focusing on its impact on students' religious character and social care attitudes. The primary goal is to understand how integrating religious values into the curriculum and extracurricular activities can enhance students' moral and ethical development. Using a qualitative research design, the study employs methods such as case studies, interviews, focus groups, observational studies, and documentary analysis to gather comprehensive data. The main findings highlight the successful integration of religious values into the curriculum, the creation of a supportive learning environment, and the active engagement of stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and the community. The study also emphasizes the importance of religious moderation and continuous evaluation for the effective implementation of PAI. These practices have led to observable improvements in students' behavior, increased empathy, social responsibility, and the development of critical thinking skills. In conclusion, the study demonstrates that a holistic approach to character education, which includes integrated curricula, professional development for teachers, community involvement, and regular assessment, significantly enhances students' religious character and social care attitudes. These findings contribute to the existing literature on character education in Islamic schools and suggest further research areas, such as longitudinal studies and the role of technology in character education.
