Abstract

Adanya fenomena rendahnya tingkat Adversity Quotient (AQ) di sekolah yang dilihat dari gejala siswa tidak mengerjakan pekerjaan rumah karena merasa tidak perlu menyelesaikan tugas, siswa meninggalkan kelas saat proses belajar mengajar dan hanya mengisi daftar hadir saja secara online, siswa tidak memperhatikan guru saat pembelajaran bahkan kehadiran siswa pun hanya 50% di dalam kelas online. AQ dapat ditingkatkan melalui layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik Problem Solving diharapkan Adversity Quotient (AQ). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran Adversity Quotient (AQ) siswa sebelum dan sesudah mendapatkan layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik Problem Solving, dan untuk mengetahui apakah Adversity Quotient (AQ) dapat ditingkatkan melalui layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik Problem Solving. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Bimbingan dan Konseling dengan melaksanakan dua siklus. Subyek penelitian ini yaitu 6 siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Sentolo yang terdiri atas 4 siswa Adversity Quotient (AQ) rendah dan 2 siswa yang memiliki Adversity Quotient (AQ) sedang, agar terjadi dinamika kelompok. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara, skala Adversity Quotient (AQ) dan observasi. Sedangkan teknik analisis datanya menggunakan analisis deskriptif persentase dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Adversity Quotient (AQ) siswa sebelum memperoleh perlakuan berupa bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik Problem Solving, sebesar 66% kategori rendah. Setelah diberi layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik Problem Solving pada sikus I, Adversity Quotient (AQ) siswa meningkat menjadi kategori sedang sebesar 50%. Sedangkan pada siklus II Adversity Quotient (AQ) siswa terus meningkat menjadi kategori tinggi dengan perolehan sebesar 66%. Hal ini menunjukkan layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik Problem Solving dapat meningkatkan Adversity Quotient (AQ) pada siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 3 Sentolo. Sehingga terjadi peningkatan Adversity Quotient (AQ) yang signifikan setelah diadakan layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik Problem Solving

Abstract

Karir merupakan kebutuhan yang sangat penting bagi siswa. Hal tersebut tidak lain karena karir merupakan salah satu aspek dalam diri siswa yang harus dipenuhi. Salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan untuk memperluas dan mendalami berbagai macam hal seputar karir dapat dilakukan dengan mengeksplorasi karir. Oleh karenanya, penelitian ini ditujukan untuk membantu meningkatkan eksplorasi karir siswa dan untuk mengetahui efektif tidaknya layanan bimbingan kelompok teknik permaianan simulasi untuk meningkatkan eksplorasi karir siswa. Pada pelaksanaannya, peningkatan eksplorasi karir tersebut mengacu pada tiga indikator yang ada pada eksplorasi karir, diantaranya; informasi, perencanaan dan membuat keputusan.  Pada penelitian ini metode yang digunakan adalah quasi experimental dengan pretest-posttest control gorup design. Lebih jauh lagi, pada penlitian ini sampel dipilih secara acak tanpa mempertimbangkan hal-hal tertentu (simple random sampling). Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 16 santriwati kelas XII C SMA Trensains Muhammadiyah Sragen, dengan ketentuan 8 santriwati sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan 8 santriwati lainnya sebagai kelompok kontrol. Melalui penelitian dan analisis data yang telah dilakukan menggunakan uji independent sampel t-test, maka diperoleh hasil bahwa nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) adalah 0,100 > 0,05 yang artinya layanan bimbingan kelompok teknik permainan simulasi tidak efektif untuk meningkatkan eksplorasi karir siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the trend of scientific publications with the theme of peace education. This study uses bibliometric analysis to describe trends in peace education research and reveal its bibliometric profile. The data was taken from the Scopus database covering 1961 to 2023 with the keywords “peace education” and “violence.” The results of the analysis show that there is a positive trend toward an increase in publications with the theme of peace education. The most prominent country that contributes to peace educationthemed publications is the United States. The University of Toronto and the University of Kwazulu-Natal are the most famous universities that publish research results on peace education. The Journal of Peace Education is the favorite journal for publication on the theme of peace education. Vaughn Mitchell John and Johan Galtung are prominent names who have influenced publications on peace education. Potential themes regarding peace education are discussed in this paper. This research contributes to analyzing structure, trends, collaboration opportunities, and research roadmaps as a basis for future research.

Abstract

Career identity is one of the most important psychosocial developmental tasks for adolescents. The development of career identity in adolescence will prevent humans from experiencing identity confusion which will have an impact on further developmental tasks. This research answers the need for this measurement tool by developing and validating a career identity measurement tool called the Indonesian youth career identity scale (IYCIS). This instrument consists of 55 items in two aspects: career exploration and commitment. This study uses Rasch analysis to test the validity of the IYCIS construct. The construct validity test involved 200 high school students in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Data analysis using Winstep software provides information about the quality of respondents and instruments, items that are easy and difficult for respondents to agree on, items that are made to order, and unidimensional. The results of applying the Rasch analysis show that IYCIS is good, precise, and has an item fit with the model. IYCIS is a reliable and valid measurement tool for accurately measuring the level of student career identity. This study discusses the implications and recommendations for further research on the implementation of guidance and counseling that contains career identity as a follow-up to IYCIS performance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth of the effect of religious counseling towards the religious behavioral adaptation of Indonesian migrant in the Netherlands. The study used a case study of twelve Indonesian Muslim migrants in the Netherlands with male and female sex with a religious counselor taken with purposive sampling techniques. The data collection tool used in this study was by interview and in-depth observation. Data analysis techniques using a model of qualitative data analysis Miles Huberman with data reduction steps, display data and draw conclusions. The result of this study showed that the religious counseling played positive roles in the life of Indonesian Muslim migrants group in the Netherlands. Those roles include community life, relationship with Allah and relationship among Islam people. The findings of this study can be a strategy for the counselor in assisting Muslim migrants in a non-muslim country on the behavioral adaptation

Abstract

Diversity in Indonesia raises the tolerance problem. The research goal to find guidance and counseling services right to develop character tolerance. Research and development approach used in research. Research and development steps include preliminary study, development hypothetical group guidance model-based folklore, validation of expert judgment and expert practitioners, experimental test form group guidance model-based folklore on a limited basis — descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative in research analysis. The findings show Aspects of peace and mutual respect for students in the low category, during the self-awareness of students in the high category. School counselor role in group guidance services for prevention, development, understanding, and distribution of tolerance character. Tolerance characters appear in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor dimensions with indicators of peace, respect for differences and individuals, and awareness. Group guidance model-based folklore methods is the right solution for the internalization of character tolerance trough limited test with indicate that there was a significant change in tolerance level after the experimental analysis.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the use of the photovoice methodology to understand students' positive emotion related to their daily activities. Photovoice is an innovative method of participatory action research that enables individuals and communities to use photography and writing to solve various problems. This study included a qualitative analysis of 42 photovoice papers prepared by 15 Guidance and Counseling students The images and thematic analysis reveal the following main themes: religion, learning activities and places and leisure. This study provides evidence that photovoice is a promising method for understanding positive psychological variables of undergraduate  students as a tool for personal empowerment and transformation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out empathy and the form of instilling empathy in prospective counselors. This descriptive quantitative study involved 174 first-semester students of the guidance and counseling department at Ahmad Dahlan University, recruited using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using an empathy scale developed from the IRI Davis scale (1983) and a questionnaire on empathy cultivation patterns which contained statements about the empathy inculcation patterns that students received from their parents or guardians. The data were analyzed descriptively, showing that prospective counselors’ empathy was mostly in the moderate category.   The pattern of inculcation of empathy is given by parents or guardians in the induction pattern. In terms of the empathy cultivation pattern, moral advice was found to be the most frequent means for instilling empathy.  This study highlights the need for developing a counseling strategy that emphasizes moral advice in a fun counseling activity and discussion dynamics that adapts to adolescent development.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the level of ethnocultural empathy among adolescents from the four major ethnic groups in Indonesia. Participants were thirty-two adolescents studying in the guidance and counseling study program at Ahmad Dahlan University, Yogyakarta, recruited using a purposive sampling technique. They were Javanese, Sundanese, Malay, and Lampung. Data were collected using an ethnocultural empathy scale and analyzed descriptively. Taking a closer look at each component, participants exhibit the highest score in acceptance of cultural differences. Javanese, Malay, and Lampung participants exhibited the lowest emphatic awareness, while Sundanese participants showed the lowest emphatic feeling expression. The result of this study could be taken into account when developing counseling strategies to develop adolescents’ empathy at the university level adapted to the characteristics of their ethnic background.

Abstract

This study aims to know the effectiveness of group guidance using problem-solving technique to increase students' learning independence in junior high schools. The type of research conducted in this study is an experiment with a pre-experimental research design, utilizing the one-group pretest-posttest design model. The sample was determined using simple random sampling, consisting of a total of ten students. The data collection instrument used was a learning independence scale. Data analysis was performed using the paired sample test. The results of this study indicate that group guidance using problem-solving technique is effective in enhancing students’ learning independence. The findings of this research can serve as a technical solution for guidance and counseling services for guidance and counseling teachers in their efforts to increase students’ learning independence in junior high schools.
