Abstract

This study aims to determine teacher performance based on the abilities possessed by teachers. The benefit of this research is that it can enrich the body of knowledge, especially about teacher performance in terms of ability, to improve the quality of learning. In addition, this research is also useful as a reference for teacher performance in various aspects, especially in teaching and learning activities. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method by conducting an in-depth study to obtain complete and accurate data. It uses a qualitative approach to describe and interpret objects or facts as they are. The results showed that the average teacher at MTS Alif Laam Miim Surabaya performed quite well in terms of their level of competence. It can be seen from the implementation of activities and the achievement of learning activities.

Abstract

Alat penilaian merupakan alat ukur untuk menilai dan sejauh mana siswa memahami materi yang disampaikan. Alat penilaian yang dikembangakan peneliti menggunakan aplikasi Quizizz. Tujuan pada penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kelayakan alat penilaian menggunakan aplikasi Quizizz dengan mengetahui validitas, reliabilitas butir soal, Uji tingkat kesukaran, dan Uji daya beda. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D Thiagarajan yang dimodifikasi menjadi 3 tahapan. Penelitian diawali dengan pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design) dan pengembangan (develop). Instrumen divalidasi oleh validator sebelum diujicobakan kepada siswa. Instrumen soal penilaian divalidasi oleh ahli materi dengan hasil sebesar 83% (sangat layak), ahli media 77% (layak) dan ahli Bahasa sebesar 88% (sangat layak) sehinga alat penilaian dengan aplikasi Quizizz sangat layak digunakan. Validitas item soal menyatakan 21 butir soal valid dan 4 soal tidak valid. Reliabilitas instrumen penilaian dinyatakan reliabel dengan mendapatkan koefisien reliabel sebesar 0,926 dan termasuk dalam kategori sangat tinggi. Uji tingkat kesukaran 14 soal kategori mudah dan 11 soal kategori sedang, sedangkan uji daya beda 1 soal dalam kategori baik sekali, 15 soal kategori baik 3 soal kategori cukup, sebanyak 6 soal kategori jelek dan jelek sekali.

Abstract

Students in the Islamic Studies learning are expected to comprehend the taught materials so that they are motivated in their learning. To achieve this learning motivation, research was conducted at Muhammadiyah 4 High School in Surabaya, in the XI grade with a total of 26 students. The research utilized the crossword puzzle teaching method to support students' motivation in the subject of Islamic Studies. This study employed qualitative research with descriptive analysis. The research results indicate that the implementation of the crossword puzzle method is able to support students' motivation in the subject of Islamic Studies. This is evidenced by the observations during the learning process and the interview results from the teacher, in line with the learning motivation indicators during the application of the crossword puzzle method in the classroom. Based on this research, it can be concluded that the application of the crossword puzzle method can support students' learning motivation in the subject of Islamic Studies for the XI grade at Muhammadiyah 4 High School in Surabaya.

Abstract

Pendidik harus mampu menguasai teknologi dan harus kreatif dalam menciptakan berbagai media pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan capaian pembelajaran yang diinginkan. Inovasi media pembelajaran dapat merangsang pikiran, perasaan, perhatian peserta didik sehingga proses belajar dapat mendorong peserta didik belajar lebih baik. Di Desa Sukosewu terdapat 1 SDN Sukosewu, 2 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah yaitu MI Matlaul Islam dan MI Fathul Ulum. Permasalahan yang dihadapi pendidik di sekolah tersebut adalah kemampuan dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang inovatif. Kelompok KKN Desa Sukosewu yang mengusung tema inovasi pendidikan berinisiatif melaksanakan program pelatihan pengembangan media pembelajaran bagi pendidik tingkat dasar yang ada di Desa Sukosewu. Pelaksanaan dilakukan dengan pemberian materi, latihan dan praktik membuat media pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi dan tindak lanjut menunjukkan bahwa pendidik mendapatkan pengetahuan terkait pengembangan media pembelajaran dan mampu mengimplementasikan media pembelajaran yang sudah dibuat dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah.

Abstract

Character education in early childhood has an important role in building an independent and confident personality. This study aims to determine how the habit of applying the magic words excuse me, please, sorry and thank you in supporting the character of early childhood in TKIT Little Star Surabaya. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The description is compiled based on data obtained from the field, precisely at TKIT Little Star. This study uses observation and interview techniques as data collection and the subjects of this study include class teachers and A1 students who are the application of the habit of the magic words excuse me, please, sorry and thank you. In the implementation of this habit does not always run smoothly there are challenges in the implementation but with the example and real examples from the teacher makes students see and do the habit of the magic words so that ethical manners in students are formed and support character education and cooperation of parents at home is also one of the supporters. Character when it has been formed from an early age will be carried over into adulthood.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of parenting patterns on leadership development in children. Leadership in children is an essential aspect in the development of individual children, which is influenced by various factors, one of which is parenting patterns. Baumrind, Maccoby & Martin's theory of parenting styles is used as an analytical framework. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews with children and parents. The study results showed that authoritative parenting patterns positively correlate with the development of prosocial leadership in children, characterized by the ability to make decisions, effective communication, cooperation, recreation, and innovation. Conversely, authoritarian and permissive parenting patterns tend to inhibit optimal leadership development. These findings support Baumrind's theory that authoritative parenting is the most effective parenting style in supporting children's social and emotional development. The implication of this study is that parents should apply consistent, warm parenting patterns and provide clear boundaries to support children's leadership development.

Abstract

Education plays an important role in the progress of a country because the improvement of human resources depends on education. Communication in science is very important because others will not know what to do or plan without it. The Inside Outside Circle (IOC) model enters the learning process and helps students become more active in class. The role of teachers is very important in achieving learning objectives. The Inside Outside Circle type of cooperative learning that uses small and large circle patterns emphasizes cooperation, discipline, independence, and critical thinking of students. This is one strategy that can be used to achieve these goals. and encourage them to actively participate in the learning process. This study is about the application of the inside outside circle learning model to improve students' critical thinking behavior in Islamic Religious Education subjects, and the subjects of this study are Islamic Religious Education teachers and all students at SMA Muhammadiyah 10 Surabaya. This study uses a qualitative method with an Ethnographic approach. This is a classroom action research with three cycles of two meetings each.And for the data collection technique I use observation, interviews, and documentation. Observation is done by observing the learning that takes place. Compared to previous studies, this study measures students' critical thinking skills and their learning outcomes by using the Inside Outside Circle learning model in Islamic religious education lessons at SMA Muhammadiyah 10 Surabaya. The Inside Outside Circle model is a learning model that utilizes real problems as a basis for students to learn and allows them to improve their ability to construct their own knowledge.

Abstract

In this digital era, students generally like fun and creative things. The use of games as a learning tool not only improves conceptual understanding but also strengthens practical skills needed in the real world. In this context, GBL encourages students to learn through experimentation, reflection, and active interaction with the subject matter. This study examines the application of Game-Based Learning (GBL) to improve students' conceptual understanding at SMP Muhammadiyah 18 Surabaya. Using a qualitative method based on case studies, this study identified the impact of GBL on learning outcomes through observation, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation analysis. The results showed that GBL significantly increased students' motivation, participation, and conceptual understanding. In implementation, the use of platforms such as Kahoot facilitates an interactive and fun learning process. Challenges faced include limited resources and the need for teacher training to integrate GBL effectively. Thus, GBL is proven to be an innovative approach that not only strengthens students' cognitive skills but also develops social and collaborative abilities. This study provides insight into the potential of GBL in improving the quality of education through technology-based learning.
