Abstract

Anggota dan kader Muhammadiyah akan memahami ideologi dengan baik melalui inovasi peneguhan yang dilakukan oleh pimpinan. Peneguhan ideologi dilaksanakan dengan tujuan memunculkan generasi dan anggota yang paham dan mengaplikasikannya. Berideologi dalam persyarikatan Muhammadiyah adalah suatu hal yang sangat urgen, dikarenakan ideologi adalah disiplin ilmu yang secara cermat mengeksplorasi ide, metode, dan gambaran mental dengan tujuan memperoleh keyakinan yang akurat dan jujur tentang kehidupan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan inovasi program peneguhan komitmen ideologi Al-Islam dan Kemuhammadiyahan yang dilakukan oleh pimpinan daerah Muhammadiyah Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini tenaga administrasi dan pengurus pimpinan daerah Muhammadiyah. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan menggunakan konsep Miles dan Huberman, meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa inovasi program peneguhan komitmen ideologi Al-Islam dan Kemuhammadiyahan yang dilakukan oleh pimpinan daerah Muhammadiyah Kabupaten Kulon Progo tidak hanya melalui baitul arqam, pengajian, sosialisasi, dan pembinaan. Namun juga melalui metode  lainnya,  yaitu melalui Hari Syiar Bermuhammadiyah (HSB), kuliah kader, kuliah umum, kajian pimpinan setiap malam kamis, pesantren jumasa (jumat malam sabtu) dan pembuatan Kartu Tanda Anggota Muhammadiyah (KTAM).

Abstract

Learning Arabic is often a burden for students, not only because the difficulty of its materials, but also the methods used by the teachers are often not attractive to students. This study aimed to develop Arabic learning materials for first grade in elementary school that will be based on fun learning approach. The method used in this research was Classic Experimental Design by dividing two classes in which one of the classes was utilized as a control class, and others were as experimental class (both 29 students), which would receive an experiment from the development of previous learning materials. The research result showed that the experimental class obtained an average difference score was about 27,2 with the highest score was 100, while the control class was about 10,3 with the highest score was 80. This study showed that there was a significant improvement in the test results of students in the experimental class, these results indicate that the use of textbook based on the song was more effective for students in Arabic learning. According to the results of this study and several other studies related to learning methods for the first graders in elementary school, this article provides an alternative learning method for Arabic teachers which has proven its effectiveness in delivering material. It is hoped that teachers can innovate to replace learning methods with fun learning which is more attractive to students.

Abstract

The decision to become teacher is greatly influenced by certain motivations such as altruistic, intrinsic, and extrinsic. Examining these motivations influencing individuals’ decisions to become teachers is essential for sustainable professional development. This is because no previous publication has focused on Generation Z’s (Gen Z) extrinsic motivations to pursue teaching profession. Therefore, this study aimed to explore motivations of Gen Z to become teachers in elementary schools. A qualitative analysis was adopted with a focus group discussion method including 58 pre-service teachers learning at the primary school teacher education program. Furthermore, the participants in the analysis were aged 18-22 years and also fell into the Gen Z category. Data obtained from the participants was further analyzed using thematic analysis. The results showed that extrinsic motivations underlying the desire of Gen Z to become teachers originated from the high social respect teaching receives from society, the promise of prosperity, and adequate employment opportunities. Extrinsic motivations also originated from childhood experiences inspired by religious teachings and the parents. The study further emphasized the importance of understanding the participants’ motivations for entering teaching profession to improve recruitment systems, providing motivation, set hours and workloads, as well as welfare systems for Gen Z teachers.
