Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) memberi pengaruh terhadap semua bidang, salah satunya di bidang pendidikan. Pelayanan di bidang pendidikan pada umumnya dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknologi komputer. Komputer merupakan bagian dari perkembangan TIK yang memberi dampak positif terhadap proses administrasi di sekolah. Oleh karenan itu, manusia khsusnya yang berprofesi sebagai pendidik dituntut untuk menguasai dan meningkatkan pengetahuan di bidang TIK. Dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas di bidang pendidikan, banyak langkah yang telah dilakukan pemerintah salah satunya adalah meningkatkan kualitas SDM khususnya guru-guru melalui berbagai pelatihan-pelatihan. Oleh karena itu, Politeknik Aceh Selatan (POLTAS) melaui Program Studi Teknik Komputer akan melakukan pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi komputer dan teknologi informasi untuk membantu mengatasi berbagai masalah yang dihadapi guru-guru. Kegiatan tersebut sebagai bentuk pengabdian dan peran Politeknik Aceh Selatan kepada masyarakat Aceh Selatan khususnya di di SMA Negeri 1 Samadua. Diharapkan setelah mengikuti pelatihan tersebut guru-guru SMA Negeri 1 Samadua bisa meningkatkan kemampuan diri dalam bidang teknologi informasi guna memenuhi kebutuhan secara lebih cepat, tepat sehingga mampu mengerjakan tugas dengan berkapasitas yang jauh lebih besar, efektif, dan efisien.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah salah satu Dharma dari Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, disamping dharma pendidikan dan dharma penelitian, dimana Perguruan Tinggi diharapkan ada usaha secara sadar untuk mencegah terjadinya isolasi Perguruan Tinggi dari masyarakat dan lingkungannya, sehingga akan selalu ada keterkaitan atau bahkan kemanunggalan Perguruan Tinggi dan masyarakat. Saat ini dunia sedang tergoncang oleh kasus coronavirus disease atau dikenal dengan istilahcovid-19 sejak akhir tahun lalu. Virus menular yang berasal dari Wuhan, Tiongkok itu telah menyebar hamper keseluruh dunia termasuk negara Indonesia. Ketika Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan mengeluarkan Surat Edaran No 3 Tahun 2020 tentang pencegahan Covid-19 pada Satuan Pendidikan pada tanggal 9 Maret 2020; surat Edaran Kesehatan No HK.02.01/MENKES/199/2020 pada 12 Maret 2020; dan Surat Edaran Sekjen Kemendikbud No 36603/A.A5/OT/2020 pada 15 Maret 2020, tentang pencegahan virus covid- 19 ini. Pemerintah juga menghimbau agar belajar dan bekerja dari rumah. Lembaga pendidikan Politeknik Aceh Selatan juga menyambut himbauan pemerintah tersebut dengan mengadakankegiatan akademik dari jarak jauh, seperti perkuliahan yang dilakukan secara online pada masa pandemi ini.

Abstract

Security is a state in which people or things feel safe from ominous or unsettling hazards, which will then cause them to feel at ease and comfortable. There are many ways to achieve security, one of which is via utilizing and deploying technology. The use of security technology has advanced quickly in recent years, from low-tech to high-tech techniques. By using Arduino as a circuit controller to process input from a vibrating sensor and 4x4 keypad, output to a solenoid as a charity box lock, and a buzzer that serves as an alarm in case of theft, technological or automated methods can reduce charity box theft and also increase the security of charity box locks. The charity box security system tool is made to prevent the theft of charity boxes, which frequently happens in mosques. If someone tries to steal the charity box, an alarm will go off, and you need a pin that has been programmed on an Arduino Ide and stored in EEPROM to open the charity box cover, so this tool can stop charity box theft in mosques.

Abstract

The large number of family activities carried out outside the home makes them always feel worried and anxious about the activities carried out by the elderly at home. This will be a problem when the elderly carer has important activities outside the home and has to leave the elderly person alone. If an elderly person falls, the sensor will detect the pressure of the fall and reduced balance in the elderly wheelchair. Then the MPU6050 sensor will send input to the nodemcu which controls the entire circuit for processing by sending a signal to the Blynk application as an output processor with a notification in the form of a short message that the elderly person has fallen, from the wheelchair which is displayed on the user's cellphone which has the blynk application installed. With this tool, it is easier for elderly caretakers to know the condition of elderly people when they are in a wheelchair, and it is also quicker to help elderly people if they fall from a wheelchair by notifying them via message notifications in the Blynk application.

Abstract

Vegetables are food ingredients that are very high in nutritional content. Good vegetables are vegetables that grow optimally which are influenced by several factors, one of which is the temperature of the soil moisture and optimal growth of vegetable seeds must be planted in a place suitable for vegetable seeds. A soil moisture temperature measuring device was designed to help determine the vegetable seeds that will be planted in a place. The tool is designed using a Capacitive Soil Moisture sensor and a 16x2 LCD Display is used to display the name of the seed and soil moisture. From the results of the measurement data, it is known how much the soil moisture temperature is in the measured place so that it can help in determining the vegetable seeds to be planted.

Abstract

The development of modern computer networks has become a fundamental foundation for the implementation of various digital services in the era of digital transformation. Improvements in network speed, scalability, and integration provide significant benefits for the education, government, industrial, and financial sectors. However, behind these advancements, serious challenges emerge in terms of network security. The increasing complexity of modern network architectures raises the potential for cyber threats that may compromise data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. This study aims to examine the development and security of modern computer networks using a descriptive qualitative approach through a literature review method. Data sources were obtained from scientific articles, academic books, and relevant publications discussing computer networks, network monitoring, cyber threats, and intelligent attack detection systems. The results indicate that cyber threats such as phishing, malware, port scanning, and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) remain dominant issues. Network monitoring plays an important role as an early detection mechanism, but it has limitations in handling complex and dynamic attacks. Therefore, the implementation of machine learning-based intrusion detection systems is considered capable of enhancing network security effectiveness. The integration of technology, monitoring systems, and improved user security awareness is a key strategy in building adaptive and sustainable network security systems.

Abstract

The rapid development of the Internet of Things (IoT) has significantly transformed various sectors, including industry, healthcare, smart cities, and agriculture. However, this growth has also increased the complexity and scale of network security vulnerabilities. IoT devices are typically resource-constrained and operate in heterogeneous network environments, making them attractive targets for cyberattacks. This study aims to analyze key network security challenges in IoT systems, evaluate solution technologies proposed in recent literature, and formulate evidence-based recommendations for improving IoT security. The research adopts a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by examining ten peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2023 and indexed in IEEE Xplore, SpringerLink, and ACM Digital Library. The results indicate that major IoT security challenges include vulnerabilities in communication protocols, limited computational and energy resources, and the increasing prevalence of attacks such as Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS), spoofing, and ransomware. The most frequently proposed solutions involve machine learning-based anomaly detection, lightweight cryptographic mechanisms, layered security architectures using edge–fog–cloud computing, and blockchain integration to enhance authentication and data integrity. This study concludes that IoT security requires a holistic and multidisciplinary approach that integrates multiple complementary technologies within a unified security framework.

Abstract

This paper presents the design, implementation, and experimental performance evaluation of an IoT-based real-time patient monitoring system using heart rate and GPS data. The proposed system integrates a wearable pulse sensor and GPS module with a Wi-Fi-enabled microcontroller to continuously transmit physiological and location data to a cloud-based monitoring platform. Real-world experiments were conducted under varying network traffic conditions to evaluate key Quality of Service (QoS) parameters, including throughput, end-to-end delay, and packet loss. The experimental results show that the system performs reliably under low to moderate traffic loads, achieving stable throughput with average delay below acceptable real-time thresholds and negligible packet loss. However, as network traffic increases, delay rises significantly and packet loss becomes more pronounced, particularly when buffer capacity is limited. Comparative testing with different buffer configurations demonstrates that larger buffers improve data reliability by reducing packet loss, but at the cost of increased latency. Furthermore, the system successfully delivers real-time heart rate and location data with high accuracy, demonstrating its applicability for remote healthcare monitoring. The results validate that maintaining operation within a controlled traffic region is essential to ensure optimal QoS. This study provides practical insights into the deployment of IoT healthcare systems, emphasizing the importance of balancing latency, reliability, and network resource constraints in real-world environments.
