Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat literasi kimia Mahasiswa Jurusan Kimia dalam aspek pengetahuan, konteks, kompetensi dan sikap pada topic pemanasan global dan efek rumah kaca. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Data diperoleh melalui tes menggunakan instrument soal yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Subjek penelitian adalah Mahasiswa Jurusan Kimia semester III dan V. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah tingkat literasi kimia Mahasiswa semester III dan V Jurusan Tadris Kimia IAIN Batusangkar pada aspek pengetahuan knowledge dengan rata-rata 76,44% dengan kategori sedang, aspek context dengan rata-rata 75,36% dengan kategori sedang, aspek kompetensi dengan rata-rata 75,44% dengan kategori sedang dan terakhir aspek attitudes dengan rata-rata 79,64% dengan kategori sedang. Rata-rata seluruh aspek adalah 74,70% dengan kategori sedang.

Abstract

Integrasi nilai-nilai spiritual ke dalam pembelajaran kimia merupakan upaya strategis untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep sekaligus membangun karakter peserta didik. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat dilakukan adalah pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis multipel representasi kimia dengan memadukan ayat-ayat al-Qur'an. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media PowerPoint Presentation berbasis multipel representasi kimia yang terintegrasi ayat al-Qur'an pada materi bentuk molekul yang valid dan praktis.  Uji Validitas meliputi tiga aspek: validitas materi (kimia dan integrasi ayat al-Qur'an), bahasa, serta media. Metode penelitian menggunakan model pengembangan R&D dengan tahapan 4D hingga tahap development. Hasil validasi menunjukkan media sangat valid dengan skor kelayakan materi 91,67% (kimia) dan 100% (ayat al-Qur'an), bahasa 90,9%, serta media 94,31%. Praktikalitas peserta didik menunjukkan skor 84,98% (sangat praktis), sementara wawancara dengan pendidik menyatakan media ini sangat praktis. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dapat disimpulkan media PowerPoint yang dikembangkan sangat prakis dan sangat valid serta dapat membantu memahami konsep kimia dan membangun karakter peserta didik.

Abstract

Various education problems in Indonesia such as learning crises, learning loss, and the low PISA ranking in 2022 require a concrete solution. One of the efforts is through the implementation of the independent curriculum since 2021. In realizing these efforts, the Independent Curriculum carries a student-oriented learning paradigm which is implemented differentiated learning. However, the fact encountered is that there are still many teachers who do not understand how to carry out differentiated learning. The purpose of this study is to find out the validity of the E-book Guidelines for the Implementation of Differentiated Learning for Teachers in Chemistry Learning Phase E of High School/MA Equivalent by using a 4D development model consisting of Define, Design, Develop and Deseminate. The instrument used is a validity questionnaire. The validity tested includes the validity of the content (chemistry and differentiated learning), graphics and language. The data collection technique is carried out by distributing questionnaire instruments and practicality sheets that have been valid. The data was analyzed by processing alternative answers contained in the questionnaire and then transformed into quantitative data to obtain interval data using the kappa moment. The results obtained were the validity of the chemistry content with a value of 0.7365 with a valid category, the validity for differentiated learning content with a value of 0.87 with a very valid category.Based on the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that the development of E-Book on The Implementation of Differentiated Learning for Chemistry Teachers is valid and very feasible to be used in learning activities.Keywords: chemistry,  differentiated learning, e-book.DOI: 10.23960/jppk.v13.i3.32793

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students are caused by limited teaching materials and educators who tend to use the lecture method during learning. This research aims to develop an E-Modules Based on Learning Cycle 8E Integrated with Al-Quran verses on Salt Hydrolysis Material for 11th Grade of Senior High School (SMA/MA) that are valid and practical. This research uses the Research and Development research type with the 4-D development model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). lkpHowever, only the first three stages of the model were implemented in this research. The results showed that 1) e-modules based on Learning Cycle 8E integrated with Al-Quran verses on salt hydrolysis material 11th Grade SMA / MA met the criteria very valid with a percentage of the validity of e-modules based on Learning Cycle 8E is 89%, the validity of content feasibility on integration with Al-Qur'an verses obtained a percentage of 90.6%. 2) e-modules based on Learning Cycle 8E integrated with Al- Quran verses on salt hydrolysis material for 11th Grade SMA/MA have met the criteria of being very practical with the results of the student response questionnaire obtaining a percentage of 84% and educators obtaining a percentage of 93%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to produce a valid and practical Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL)-based Student Worksheet (LKPD) on 11th Grade Class Buffer Solution Material at State Senior High School (SMAN) 2 Sawahlunto. This research uses the Research and Development research method with the 4-D development model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). However, the stages in research with this 4-D model are only carried out from the first to the third stage, namely the define stage aims to get an overview of field conditions, the design stage aims to compile and design POGIL-based Student Worksheets (LKPD) on buffer solution material, and the develop stage aims to continue the POGIL-based LKPD on buffer solution material that has been designed with validity and practicality tests. The research instruments used were validation sheets and response questionnaire sheets. The validation sheet was filled by 2 lecturers and 1 chemistry educator. The response questionnaire sheet was filled by 25 of 11th grade students and 2 chemistry educators of SMAN 2 Sawahlunto. The results showed that 1) POGIL-based LKPD on buffer solution material meets the valid criteria with 85.42% validation results. 2) POGIL-based LKPD on buffer solution material has met the practical criteria with educator practicality response questionnaire results of 92.31% and student response questionnaire results of 82.15%.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the number of students who experience misconceptions so that they are not successful in chemistry subjects. This study aims to determine the misconceptions that occur in class X students at SMA N 1 Lintau Buo using a three-tier diagnostic test on atomic structure material. In this study using a qualitative approach (descriptive) method. The subjects of this study were class X students with a total of 108 people. The instruments used are the main instrument (the researcher himself) and supporting instruments, namely the three-tier diagnostic test, interviews, observation and documentation. Data validity testing was carried out by increasing persistence and data triangulation. Furthermore, the data analysis technique uses the classification of student answers from the three-tier diagnostic test, then a percentage is obtained based on the atomic structure sub-matter which is grouped into categories of conceptual understanding, misconceptions and not conceptual understanding. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the results of the analysis of student misconceptions using the three-tier diagnostic test on class X atomic structure material at SMA N 1 Lintau Buo “are that there are two sub-matter of atomic structure with misconceptions with high criteria, namely in the sub-matter of atomic notation based on the number of protons, neutrons and electrons by 69% and sub-matter of isotopes, isobars and isotones by 62%. For the overall atomic structure sub-matter, the average in the concept understanding category is 36% medium criteria, the misconception category is 55.6% medium criteria and the category does not understand the concept of 8.4% low criteria.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the impact of using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) module on students' critical thinking skills on the material of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions. This research uses a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampling was carried out by using cluster purposive sampling. The data collection technique used was a critical thinking skills  test instrument in the form of essay questions. Hypothesis testing was carried out by using the independent sample t-test. The result showed that using PBL module on the material of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions has a positive impact on the critical thinking skills of students at SMA N 1 Sijunjung and SMA N 7 Sijunjung. This is proven by the results of the t-test analysis using SPSS that the significance value is 0.000 less than 0.05 with a significance level (α = 0.05) so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means that the use of the PBL module has an impact on students' critical thinking skills regarding the material of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions. The critical thinking skills of students in the experimental class who learned using the PBL module were higher than those in the control class in both schools.

Abstract

Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya pelaksanaan praktikum kimia di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) khususnya pada kelas XI SMA, namun karena keterbatasan alat dan bahan kimia, maka pelaksanaan praktikum menjadi terkendala terlaksananya praktikum kimia di sekolah. Oleh karena itu dikembangakanlah suatu penuntun praktikum kimia berbasis green chemistry, untuk membantu guru dan siswa dalam melaksanakan kegiatan praktikum kimia dengan alat dan bahan yang sederhana dan ramah lingkungan. Tujuan yang hendak dicapai dalam upaya pengembangan penuntun praktikum ini adalah untuk menghasilkan penuntun praktikum kimia yang valid dan praktis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (research and development). Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model 4-D yang terdiri dari tahap pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (development), dan penyebaran (disseminate). Namun, pada penelitian ini tahap penyebaran tidak dilakukan karena keterbatasan waktu. Penuntun praktikum di validasi oleh 3 orang validator dan diujikan kepada 12 orang guru kimia di kota Bukittinggi dan 32 orang siswa kelas XI IPA SMA yang berasal dari SMA Xaverius Bukittinggi dan SMA Taruna Bangsa Bukittinggi untuk melihat tingkat kepraktisan penuntun praktikum kimia. Data penelitian uji validitas dan praktiklaitas diperoleh melalui lembar validasi penuntun praktikum kimia dan lembar praktikalitas penuntun praktikum kimia berupa angket respon guru dan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif berdasarkan uji statistik menggunakan Momen Kappa. Hasil uji validitas penuntun praktikum kimia diperoleh nilai rata-rata moment kappa sebesar 0,89 dan berdasarkan hasil angket respon guru diperoleh nilai rat-rata moment kappa sebesar 0,87 serta berdasarkan angket respon siswa SMA Xaverius Bukittinggi dan siswa SMA Taruna Bangsa Bukittinggi diperoleh nilai moment kappa sebesar 0,85 dan 0,87. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa, penuntun praktikum kimia berbasis green chemistry untuk semester ganjil kelas XI SMA yang dihasilkan telah valid dan praktis dengan kategori kevalidan dan kepraktisan sangat tinggi.
