Abstract

The vision and mission of Islamic education is rahmatan lil ‘alamiin, that makes Islamic education as guidance to direct the human being becomes chaliph in the world. The aim of government decre on national education system 2003 is to filterize the negative impacts of globalization which will lose national identity. The possible solution to overcome this negative effect is the teacher as well as educator should become a good model for students, discuss good topic, supervise the students continually, conduct regular supervision, and provide balance between reward and punishment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari keinginan madrasah dalam mengembangkan bakat dan minat peserta didik melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Seperti kegiatan muhadharah dan kaligrafi peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini ingin menggambarkan pelaksanaan, faktor pendukung dan penghambat kegiatan ekstrakurikuler muhadharah dan kaligrafi  dalam mengembangkan diri peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis  deskriptif. Sunber data atau informan adalah guru pembina kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, peserta didik kelas VIII dan Kepala Sekolah MTsN Tapan. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa: 1) Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler seperti muhadharah ternyata mampu mengembangkan diri peserta didik. Hal itu ditunjukan dengan tumbuhnya rasa percaya diri dan meningkatnya kemampuan komunikasi peserta didik. Kegiatan ekstrakulikuler dalam bentuk kegiatan kaligrafi ternyata dapat menumbuhkan rasa sabar, teliti, dan kreatif. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan kemampuan melukis kaligrafi dengan corak yang lebih baik, halus, dan beragam gaya. 2) Peningkatan pengembangan diri peserta didik selain karena faktor dalam diri mereka juga didukung oleh perhatian dan kebijakan kepala sekolah seperti menyediakan fasilitas latihan, dan pelatih yang profesional. Sedangkan kendalanya adalah waktu latihan yang kurang,  sarana prasarana pendukung yang belum memadai.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of availability of teaching materials using a scientific approach, the teaching materials used have not been able to visualize physical concepts that are abstract and the teaching materials used do not encourage students to read and train students' learning independence. The purpose of this study was to produce a 7E Video Cycle Learning Based Module on the valid, practical and effective Material of Kinetic Gas and Thermodynamics Theory. This research is a development research with Research & Development (R & D) approach. The development model used in this development is the Plomp development model which consists of three stages: Preliminary research, Prototype development and Development phase. Video-assisted Cycle 7E learning module on the material of gas and thermodynamic kinetic theory is very valid with an average score of 90.31% with a percentage of content feasibility test of 87.5%, language feasibility of 95% and media feasibility of 70.23%, where practicality by educators 89.2% and 89.4% of students. While effectiveness is categorized as very effective with an average score of 80.92%. From this development study it can be concluded that the 7E video-assisted learning cycle based module on the material of gas and thermodynamic kinetic theory has fulfilled the valid, practical and effective module qualifications to be used as an independent learning material for eleventh grade students of SMA / MA..

Abstract

This study aims to explore and get a picture of the perception of educators Maadrasah Ibtidaiyah about the competence it has. Along with the birth of Law Number 20 Year 2003 on National Education System and Law Number 14 Year 2005 on Teachers and Lecturers, the teachers have been recognized as professions. As a profession, teachers must have clear and measurable competencies. Teacher competence is four, namely: pedagogic competence, professional competence, social competence, and personal competence. Efforts to improve competence can be done if the educator has a good perception of the competence he has. Please note how the perception of MI educator to pedagogic, personality, social, professional and religious competence, so that later can be known what actions or programs that can be done in improving their competence.

Abstract

Azyumardi Azra's work, The Networks of Malay-Indonesian and Middle Eastern ‘Ulama in the Seventeenth and Eighteenth Century: The Root of Islamic Reformism, is important, as it presents the transmission of ideas and Islamic teachings via the network of ‘Ulama. Another important aspect of this book is its use of primary sources (ancient manuscripts and the books written in Arabic and English). Azra’s book, in my opinion, is the first book which utilizes such an extensive array of Arabic sources to study the history of Islamic Reformism in the Malay Archipelago. The purpose of this article is to describe and analyze the methods, the theories, the historical school of thought, and the approaches used by Azra in the process of writing this book. The article employs historical research method and historiographical approach. The result is crystal-clear, Azra wrote the book using the scientific historical research method with its four steps of research: heuristic, source-criticism, interpretation, and historiog­raphy. The main keywords within this book are transmission and network. Azra was also inclined toward ‘the new history’ school of thought. Finally, we can mention for sure that Azra approached the research problem through the local and global perspectives simultaneo­usly. His work is undoubtedly a major contribution into the body of lite­rature and has inspi­red many enthusiasts and the scholars of Southeast Asian studies, as well as the scholars of the seventeenth and the eighteenth-century Muslim World. Keywords: Azyumardi Azra, Indonesian Islamic Historiography, Ulama Network   Karya Azyumardi Azra dengan judul Jaringan Ulama Timur Tengah dan Kepulauan Nusantara Abad XVII & XVIII Akar Pembaruan Islam Indonesia ini sangat penting, karena telah menyajikan aspek intelek­tual yang mengetengahkan bentuk gagasan dan ajaran yang ditran­smi­si­kan melalui jaringan ulama. Yang lebih penting lagi adalah sumber yang digunakan Azra dalam bukunya tersebut adalah sumber-sumber primer dalam bentuk manuskrip-manuskrip dan buku-buku cetakan berba­hasa Arab dan Inggris. Tampaknya inilah buku pertama yang mengguna­kan sum­ber-sumber Arab secara ekstensif dalam pengkajian yang berke­naan dengan sejarah pembaruan pemikiran Islam di Nusantara. Tujuan tulisan ini adalah mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis metode, teori, aliran pemiki­ran sejarah dan pendekatan yang digunakan Azra dalam penulisan buku Jaringan Ulama. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode historis dengan pendekatan historiografi. Tulisan ini berhasil mengetengahkan metode yang digunakan Azra yaitu metode sejarah ilmiah dengan empat tahapan, yaitu-heuristik, kritik sumber, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Teori yang digunakan transmission dan network. Azra lebih cenderung kepada aliran pemikiran sejarah New History. Sedangkan pendekatan yang digunakannya adalah Azra melihat perjalanan historis Islam di Nusantara harus dilihat dari perspektif global dan lokal sekaligus. Karya Azra ini memberikan konstribusi besar kepada literatur dan menjadi inspirasi bagi peminat dan penulis kajian Asia Tenggara serta dunia muslim pada abad ke-17 dan ke-18. Abstract

This research is a disparity in women's leadership, especially in the context of Islamic universities in Indonesia. This is because women's leadership still faces many challenges, such as stereotyping and marginalisation of women, both in the educational, social and cultural spheres. This study aims to analyse and evaluate the leadership model of the female rector of PTKIN in implementing gender-responsive programs. This research is field research, namely field research using a qualitative approach. The data needed is the PTKIN rector model including the rector of IAIN Bukittinggi, IAIN Ponorogo, and IAIN Metro Lampung. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation, with descriptive and narrative analysis. The results of the study indicate that in implementing gender-responsive programs, namely planning and implementing activities, it shows that the three rectors of PTKIN, namely IAIN Bukittinggi, Ponorogo, and Metro Lampung, tend to be transformational-democratic. It is proven from the seven prerequisites that have been set that the planning of gender-responsive programs in its planning is moderate and open in accepting input, proposals and suggestions regarding the planning and implementation of activities as well as budgeting for activities from their subordinates. At the time of performance, they facilitated the administrative process, budget disbursement, and bureaucracy. While in the evaluation activities, although they are still said to be democratic and moderate, in the evaluation activities their leadership style is also a little permissive, an indication that they accept the evaluations carried out.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas peran yang dimainkan oleh Ilmu Humaniora dalam mendorong moderasi beragama. Ilmu Humaniora dilihat sebagai kumpulan disiplin ilmu yang fokus pada penciptaan budaya manusia, termasuk aspek-aspek seperti keyakinan, ide-ide, etika, dan tradisi. Artikel ini menyelidiki bagaimana ilmu ini dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam merangsang sikap moderat dalam konteks keberagamaan. Melalui Ilmu Humaniora dapat membantu memahami peran agama dalam masyarakat dengan lebih mendalam, merangsang dialog antar keyakinan, dan mendorong pemahaman yang lebih luas tentang keragaman keyakinan. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, berbasis library research (studi kepustakaan), artikel ini menguraikan pentingnya peran Ilmu Humaniora sebagai fasilitator untuk mempromosikan sikap moderat dalam konteks keberagaman, memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap harmoni dan pemahaman antar umat beragama. Abstract

This paper aims to explore the concept of religious moderation across Islamic history within Indonesian context. The method used is qualitative with a historical approach. The historical approach is used to reformulate the concept of religious moderation in modern times and classical times. The results showed that religious moderation in modern times correlates with religious moderation in classical times. Although the term religious moderation was only promoted by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Indonesia in 2019, in terms of practice it has been carried out by the Prophet who was then continued by the companions and the people after him. Classical and modern religious moderation both focus on establishing harmonious and peaceful social relations with people of different religions. However, there are some differences between modern and classical moderation, namely: First, in modern times religious moderation is focused on improving and maintaining relations between Muslims and people of other religions by providing several indicators related to this. Whereas in the classical period, this religious moderation focused on their freedom to embrace their religion without any coercion to convert to Islam. Second, in modern times the term moderation is used in the hope of being an antidote to the many conflicts, while in classical times religious moderation was practiced by the Prophet to serve as an example for the companions and subsequent people. Third, the practice of religious moderation in terms of tolerance towards people of other religions in modern times looks very tolerant by congratulating each other on the holidays of other religions, while in classical times religious moderation only centred on giving them the freedom to choose their religion and carry out their religious worship.

Abstract

This article focuses on one of the current contemporary philosophical discourses, namely the discourse regarding gender justice in Islamic studies, from M. Amin Abdullah's perspective in connection with the current development of Islamic studies. The method used in this research is a descriptive-analytical method with an integration and interconnection approach and deep gender discussions. Islamic Studies emphasizes the need for a meeting point between religion and feminism, which leads to position-taking, which should no longer be shown of power or conflict with each other but look for a common ground for negotiation (consensus). It tries to reveal M. Amin Abdullah's ideas and suggestions regarding studying and interpreting gender issues in Islamic studies. The primary data used in this research are the works of M. Amin Abdullah.Meanwhile, secondary data in this research are books, journal articles, and other websites that discuss Amin Abdullah's thoughts. The research results show that Amin Abdullah emphasizes the need to disseminate more egalitarian and just religious and scientific understanding to reconstruct traditional values that are no longer conducive to the process of social change, including gender bias, which often hinders the achievement of a just society. Here, is a critical analysis of the understanding of gender in contemporary Islamic studies from M. Amin Abdullah's perspective. In this way, this article will contribute to developing contemporary Islamic studies into a more inclusive, progressive, and gender-free Islamic scientific discourse.
