Abstract

Abstract. In the watershed ecosystem, riparian vegetation is one component that plays a role in influencing the ability of the soil to absorb and maintain water quality. The Batang Arau watershed is the most polluted river in the city of Padang, due to changes in land use which cause damage to the vegetation ecosystem. So that the impact on the loss of composition, structure and ecological function. Based on this, it is necessary to conduct research to determine the composition and structure of riparian vegetation in the Batang Arau watershed. The research was conducted from 26 December 2020 - 2 February 2021, in the Batang Arau watershed which includes station 1 (factory area), Station 2 (plantation area), Station 3 (unspoiled area). The method used is Linear Systematic Sampling. The results showed that in the factory area there were 64 individuals with 21 species belonging to 12 families. In the field area, 80 individuals were found with 38 species in 27 families. Unspoiled areas obtained 89 individuals with 58 species belonging to 26 families. INP results show that the area is dominated by Homalanthus papulneus plants. Factory area diversity index (H') = 0.69. Field area (H') = 1.34. Unspoiled area (H') = 1.20.

Abstract

Teachers need help to measure students' understanding and problem-solving abilities, so these abilities are not measured well. This research analyses the quality of understanding concepts and problem-solving from environmental change material using the ANATES tool. Quantitative descriptive methods were used in this research. The research tool consists of objective questions and essays tested on class XI high school students after being verified by experts. The data collection method uses a questionnaire. The data collection instrument uses a questionnaire sheet. Data analysis techniques use quantitative analysis. The findings of the analysis show that although several things need to be modified, most of the items have good validity. The reliability of the instrument is in the high and very high categories. Question difficulty index, which varies from easy to complex. The majority of questions fall into the outstanding category for differentiating power. Based on the results of this research, the questions are generally of high quality. They can assess students' conceptual knowledge and problem-solving abilities related to environmental change material.

Abstract

Biofertilizer merupakan pupuk organik yang mengandung mikroorganisme yang keberadaannya bisa tunggal atau berupa gabungan beberapa jenis yang disebut dengan konsorsium. Biofertilizer dapat berasal dari kelompok PGPR dan PGPF. Salah satu PGPF yang telah dilaporkan sejauh ini adalah Trichoderma. Trichoderna dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman seperti daya kecambah benih, tinggi bibit tanaman padi. Selama ini medium untuk pertumbuhan Trichoderma di Laboratorium adalah PDA. Di samping itu ada beberapa medium lainnya yang dapat digunakan dan salah satunya adalah Jagung. Jagung merupakan medium alternatif yang mengandung nutrisi dan mendukung pertumbuhan Trichoderma, meskipun demikian daya simpan pada medium jagung masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian parafin terhadap jumlah spora dan lama simpan Trichoderma asperellum pada medium cair berbahan dasar jagung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 6 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah penambahan konsentrasi parafin 0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% dan 100%. Data berupa jumlah spora masing-masing konsentrasi pada umur simpan 45 hari yang dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA pada taraf 5% dan uji lanjut dengan DNMRT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata jumlah spora berkisar sekitar 2,16 x106 /mL hingga 7,44x106 /mL. Rata-rata spora tertinggi terdapat pada konsentrasi 40%. Berdasarkan analisis data, pemberian konsentrasi parafin pada media berbahan dasar jagung mempengaruhi jumlah spora Trichoderma asperellum dan lama simpannya.

Abstract

The objectives of this study to determine the comparison of the nutritional content of spinach cultivated hydroponically and non-hydroponically, especially the content of Vitamin C. This research was conducted at the Wire House Biology Laboratory of Padang State University in May - July 2020. This research is a descriptive study. The analysis was carried out Spinach Nutrition. Hydroponic spinach samples were obtained from the Hydroponic Community of West Sumatra in Alai Padang, while the non-hydroponic samples were purchased at Pasar Raya Padang, the analysis of vitamin C content was carried out by the Spectrophotometric Method. From the research that has been done, it is found that the average content of hydroponic spinach vitamin C is 1.45 ppm and non-hydroponic 1.60 ppm. The conclusion of the research is that the content of Vitamin C in hydroponic cultivated spinach is lower than that of spinach cultivated non-hydroponically.

Abstract

Tomato (Solanum Lycopersicum L.) is a horticultural plant from the Solanaceae family that has potential as a vegetable. Tomatoes can grow in various land conditions, both in highlands and lowlands. However, the production of this plant has not been optimal in meeting the needs of the community recently due to various environmental factors. To adapt to different environmental stress conditions, it is important to understand how the plant responds, particularly the morphological responses of tomato leaves in various environmental conditions.This research was conducted from September 2024 to January 2025 in Kamang Magek and the city of Padang. The research method is experimental, comparing the morphological characteristics of tomato leaves, including leaf length and width, petiole length, and the number of leaf veins. The data were analyzed using a t-test at a 5% significance level.The results show that the morphological characteristics of tomato leaves exhibit significant differences in terms of leaf length and width between Kamang Magek and the city of Padang. The average leaf length in Kamang Magek is about 55.5 cm, while in the city of Padang, it is 25.60 cm. The average leaf width in Kamang Magek is approximately 23.30 cm, whereas in the city of Padang, it is 22.95 cm. However, when considering petiole length and the number of leaf veins, no significant differences were observed between the city of Padang and Kamang Magek.
