Social services for the elderly must cover biological, psychological, social, intellectual and spiritual needs. Even though the form of a home or institution is still an alternative, the existence of activities that suit the interests and talents of the elderly is very important to fill their free time in service. Therefore, a therapy program is needed that can awaken the enthusiasm and creativity of the elderly, as well as reduce feelings of hopelessness. This socialization is carried out with the aim of improving the cognitive abilities of the elderly. The object of this socialization is all the elderly at the Anugrah Tanjung Pinang Nursing Home, totaling 10 people, using lecture, discussion, simulation and recondensation methods. The material was delivered by a team of nurses from professional nursing students who explained the pathophysiological causes of cognitive decline in the elderly, then the group carried out a dakon game simulation and asked the elderly to play dakon with each other. As a result of this socialization, 80% of the elderly were able to interact in the dakon game and looked very happy. This socialization received appreciation from the orphanage administrators because it could add to the play activities that they could implement at the orphanage.
