Abstract

This study explores the challenges and opportunities associated with developing speaking skills among junior high school students within the framework of the Merdeka Curriculum through Project-Based Learning (PBL). The purpose of this research is to know the character building of student’s speaking skill and to find out the student ability who are able in speaking. This study employs a descriptive qualitative research to explore the challenges faced by junior high school students in developing their English-speaking skills through Project-Based Learning (PBL) under the Merdeka Curriculum. The observation is doing in the second grade of Juniour High School. The data collection was carried out by observation and using video to test the speaking ability. The findings reveal that while students showed notable improvement in their speaking skills when engaged in PBL, several challenges hindered its full effectiveness. These challenges include students' initial reluctance to participate in speaking activities due to anxiety and a lack of confidence, particularly among those with lower English proficiency. Additionally, time constraints within the school curriculum made it difficult for teachers to balance content coverage with providing adequate speaking practice.

Abstract

Bahasa ekonomi dapat memberikan informasi tentang ekonomi secara lebih spesifik, tepat, dan terstruktur. Istilah ekonomi seperti inflasi, deflasi, dan suku bunga membantu pembaca lebih memahami kondisi perekonomian. Penggunaan bahasa ekonomi, baik di media cetak maupun online, memainkan peran secara efisien untuk menyampaikan informasi,serta  dapat dimengerti oleh beragam kalangan pembaca. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menyelidiki tentang penggunaan bahasa ekonomi dalam media cetak dan online dengan mengidentifikasi isu-isu terkait penggunaan bahasa ekonomi, serta menggunakan framing untuk mempengaruhi opini publik terhadap isu-isu ekonomi. Metode yang diterapkan adalah analisis konten dan survei. Analisis konten dan survei yang dilakukan yaitu dengan menganalisis bahasa-bahasa ekonomi yang terdapat dalam media cetak dan online, lalu melakukan survei dengan cara mengumpulkan data dari responden melalui pertanyaan. Dalam hal ini, peneliti akan mengumpulkan beberapa data dari artikel yang diambil secara acak dari media cetak dan online. Pembahasan tentang bahasa ekonomi tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai alat komunikasi, tetapi juga sebagai sarana untuk memahami isu-isu tersebut yang meliputi kebijakan fiskal, inflasi pergerakan pasar saham, dan perkembangan ekonomi global yang sering kali sulit dipahami oleh masyarakat umum. Dengan banyaknya istilah teknis dan konsep yang rumit, para penulis media kini dituntut untuk memberikan informasi dengan jelas, akurat, dan dapat dipahami oleh pembaca yang memiliki latar belakang pendidikan dan pemahaman ekonomi yang beragam. Meskipun media cetak dan online berupaya menyederhanakan bahasa dan membuatnya lebih mudah dipahami, masih terdapat beberapa tantangan terutama bagi pembaca yang tidak memiliki pengetahuan tentang bahasa ekonomi yang memadai. Kebingungan bisa muncul ketika orang memahami istilah ekonomi yang sama tapi memaknainya berbeda, dan perbedaan penggunaan istilah di media yang berbeda dapat menghilangkan makna yang disampaikan. Oleh karena itu, sangat penting untuk memperkuat pemahaman bahasa ekonomi di masyarakat.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the use of Bahasa Indonesia by all its citizens is an efficient means of communication to convey messages. The language is dominant in daily activities, which is especially important in an era of scientific and technological advancement that emphasizes specialization, because studying the views of scientists can help humans realize their limitations and avoid intellectual arrogance. Philosophy has a role as a carrier of values for society, focusing on learning that is relevant to everyday life. As part of value education, philosophy can be a tool to nurture habits of thought and reflect on the values of life. However, the existence of the Indonesian language as the glue of the nation seems to be neglected due to the abundance of new vocabulary, including abbreviations and foreign terms. To philosophize is to explore deeply and earnestly. It is knowledge that reaches the root of everything according to ratio. It summarizes reality as a whole, especially human existence and purpose. Philosophy of science aims to investigate the various sources of knowledge, from theories of language acquisition based on views such as behaviorism or cognitivism, which basically stem from philosophical statements that were once delivered by prominent philosophers.

Abstract

Nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter merupakan salah satu cara mengubah dan membentuk siswa dengan kreatif dan inovatif terutama pada siswa milenial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dan dampaknya terhadap perkembangan pola pikir serta proses belajar siswa milenial yang ada di sekolah MAN 3 Jember. Adanya kegiatan pondok romadhan yang bertemakan pendidikan karakter dan keagamaan sangat menguntungkan bagi guru maupun siswa MAN 3 Jember. Di era digital saat ini, siswa milenial menghadapi berbagai tantangan yang mempengaruhi cara berpikir dan belajar mereka. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah EBR (Empowerment-Based Research), degan menggunakan beberapa langkah yaitu (Exploration, Action, Dissemination, and Report). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya pondok romadhan yang bertemakan pendidikan karakter memberikan dampak positif bagi siswa–siswi MAN 3 Jember. Selain itu, penerapan nilai-nilai seperti kejujuran, disiplin, tanggung jawab, dan kerja sama memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah, berpikir analitis, dan berkolaborasi. pendidikan karakter juga berperan dalam membentuk sikap positif siswa terhadap belajar, meningkatkan motivasi intrinsik, serta membangun keterampilan sosial yang penting untuk kesuksesan akademik dan kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

BAZNAS (National Amil Zakat Agency) is the official body and the only one formed by the government based on Presidential Decree No. 8 of 2001 which has the duties and functions of collecting and distributing zakat, infaq, and alms (ZIS) at the national level. This study aims to explore the application of 4P (Distribution, Collection, Utilization, and Reporting) in zakat management in BAZNAS Jember and Banyuwangi Regencies. Comparative Study of Zakat management performance measurement in terms of Fayol's management principles theory. The sample selection method is judgment sampling while the data analysis method used is descriptive qualitative analysis and comparison. The results of the study show that each BAZNAS in the Jember and Banyuwangi districts has carried out zakat management activities with 4P elements (Distribution, Collection, Utilization, and Reporting). The Amil Zakat Agency in Banyuwangi is better at implementing the four elements of zakat management including adequate internal controls and controls that will be held within a certain time.

Abstract

In the ever-evolving digital era, communication strategies have become crucial for effectively reaching consumers. This study aims to explore and analyze innovative communication strategies that can be used to engage consumers in the digital age. The research method employed is descriptive analysis and literature review to examine various communication strategies that have been implemented in the digital context. The findings of the study reveal that innovative communication strategies such as the utilization of social media, multimedia content, and voice recognition technology have a positive impact on fostering consumer engagement and expanding market reach. The key takeaway from this research is the significance of adapting to technological trends and developing communication strategies aligned with the preferences of digital consumers to enhance marketing effectiveness and boost business competitiveness. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of how communication strategies can be tailored to the digital era to achieve better marketing outcomes.
