Abstract

Emerging and spreading hate speech online was a growing phenomenon in social media on youtube. Najwa Shihab was a youtube channel that contains shows and comments on political issues in Indonesia, one of them was the 2019 presidential election campaign. The form of hate speech in comments in the Najwa Shihab Channels was forming grammatical construction and construction of the meaning of one hate speech with other utterances. The purpose of this study was to analyze the illocutionary speech acts on hate speech and to analyze hate speech based on the rule of law in Indonesia. The analysis resulted in hate speech on the Najwa Shihab youtube channel audience comments in the General Election campaign in the discourse of the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia in 2019. The approach that used in this study was a theoretical approach, namely a forensic linguistic approach by utilizing pragmatics for data analysis, and a methodological approach, namely a qualitative descriptive approach. The data on hate speech that was analyzed was a fragment of the audience's comments on two programs, namely Mata Najwa and Catatan Najwa. The results showed that there were nine forms of hate speech. Two forms of hate speech were considered to be the style of speech that was widely used by the public in delivering comments on social media. The forms of the speech were "Form of Hate Speech, Assertive Speech - Insult" and "Form of Hate Speech, Assertive Speech - Defamation". The existence of this form of speech can be a reference for the community to process opinions first before conveying it on social media. It's legally can be used as an offense in cases of hate speech.

Abstract

The development of hate speech on digital space, that is Youtube, as a group or individually. One of the YouTube channels is Najwa Shihab which discusses political issues in Indonesia, one of which is the 2019 presidential election campaign. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impoliteness principle of hate speech in the comments of Najwa Shihab's Youtube on the 2019 General Election Campaign Discourse. The research approach is a theoretical approach in the form of a forensic linguistic approach and pragmatics for data analysis, and a methodological approach that is descriptive qualitative. The data analyzed was in the form of audience commentary speech on Mata Najwa and Catatan Najwa. The results showed that there were six impoliteness principle of hate speech . The impoliteness type of civility that is widely used is the violation of the maxim of appreciation as much as 73.3% of the total number of 300 utterances. The principle of civility that is least violated is that the maxim withholds opinions by 0.7% of the total 300 utterances. The results of the research are expected to be useful for the community, especially as a reference material in avoiding violations of hate speech crimes.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology (ICT) in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, especially in education. One of the technologies that has gained attention in education is Artificial Intelligence (AI). In education, AI has great potential to revolutionize teaching and learning methods. AI can support tasks that humans previously could only do, such as creating teaching materials and evaluating learning. SMA Negeri 1 Bodeh is one educational institution committed to improving education quality through technology integration. However, based on initial observations, it was found that teachers' skills in utilizing AI technology to support teaching tasks were still limited. Therefore, a “Workshop on Utilisation of Artificial Intelligence to Support Teachers' Tasks at SMA Negeri 1 Bodeh” was held. In this workshop, teachers were given training on how to use AI platforms such as ChatGPT and Google Gemini to support teachers' tasks. This activity involved 28 teachers and used presentation, practicum, and discussion methods. The results of the workshop showed a significant improvement in teachers' skills in using AI, this can be seen from the results of the Pre-Test and Post-Test questionnaires, which showed an average increase of  12 teachers who previously stated that they could not, become able to use AI to support their duties as teachers, such as in creating teaching materials and exam questions. This increase shows that the workshop successfully achieved its goal of improving teachers' competence in utilizing AI to support their duties. The suggestion for the future is that the school is expected to provide support in the form of further training and support the use of AI on an ongoing basis.   Abstrak Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) pada era Revolusi Industri 4.0 telah membawa perubahan yang signifikan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, khususnya dalam bidang pendidikan. Salah satu teknologi yang mendapatkan perhatian dalam dunia pendidikan adalah Artificial Intelligence (AI). Dalam konteks pendidikan, AI memiliki potensi besar untuk merevolusi metode pengajaran dan pembelajaran. AI mampu mendukung tugas-tugas yang sebelumnya hanya bisa dilakukan manusia, seperti pembuatan materi ajar dan evaluasi pembelajaran. SMA Negeri 1 Bodeh, merupakan salah satu institusi pendidikan yang berkomitmen untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan melalui integrasi teknologi. Namun, berdasarkan observasi awal, ditemukan bahwa keterampilan guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi AI untuk mendukung tugas-tugas mengajar masih terbatas. Oleh karena itu diadakan “Workshop Pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence untuk Mendukung Tugas Guru di SMA Negeri 1 Bodeh”, pada workshop ini para guru diberikan pelatihan untuk menggunakan platform AI seperti ChatGPT dan Google Gemini untuk mendukung tugas guru. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 28 guru dan menggunakan metode presentasi, praktikum, dan diskusi. Hasil workshop menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan guru menggunakan AI, hal ini terlihat dari hasil kuesioner Pre-Test dan Post-Test yang menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata sebanyak 12 guru yang sebelumnya menyatakan tidak bisa, menjadi bisa menggunakan AI untuk mendukung tugas mereka sebagai guru, seperti dalam membuat materi ajar dan soal ujian. Peningkatan ini menunjukkan bahwa workshop berhasil mencapai tujuannya dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam memanfaatkan AI untuk mendukung tugas mereka. Saran untuk masa depan adalah pihak sekolah diharap dapat memberikan dukungan berupa pelatihan lanjutan dan mendukung penggunaan AI secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Jurnalistik dalam perkembangannya telah berkontribusi terhadap proses literasi. Dalam era digital, kemampuan literasi jurnalistik menjadi keterampilan yang penting bagi siswa, khususnya di tingkat Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Keterampilan ini tidak hanya mencakup kemampuan menulis berita yang akurat dan informatif, tetapi juga kemampuan desain grafis untuk mendukung penyajian informasi secara visual. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan penguatan keterampilan literasi jurnalistik bagi siswa SMK melalui program workshop penulisan berita dan desain grafis. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dalam bentuk workshop diikuti oleh siswa dari SMK N 1 Batang kelas X dan XI yang tergabung dalam ekstrakurikuler jurnalistik (BiSis) dan memiliki minat di bidang jurnalistik sejumlah 30 siswa. Melalui metode pelatihan interaktif, siswa diajak untuk memahami prinsip-prinsip dasar jurnalistik, mulai dari pengumpulan fakta, penulisan berita yang tepat, hingga teknik desain grafis yang menarik dan mudah dipahami oleh peserta. Hasil dari workshop ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam menyampaikan informasi secara efektif dan kreatif, serta meningkatkan daya saing mereka di dunia kerja yang semakin digital. Kegiatan ini juga diharapkan memberikan dampak positif terhadap kemampuan literasi digital siswa, khususnya dalam bidang jurnalistik, sehingga mampu menghadapi tantangan komunikasi di era modern.

Abstract

This research discusses the interpretation of the muslim community in Pekalongan Regency regarding Islamic inheritance law. There are two questions that are the focus of discussion in this research, namely about how the interpretation of the muslim community of Pekalongan Regency about Islamic inheritance law, and how the implications of the interpretation of the Muslim community of Pekalongan Regency regarding Islamic inheritance law on the practice of inheritance distribution. This research is legal sociology research. The technical analysis used is qualitative descriptive analysis, to describe and explain data in the form of the interpretation of the muslim community about Islamic inheritance law that has been obtained as it is. The research concluded that: First, the understanding of muslim community in Pekalongan Regency about Islamic inheritance law was not significantly correlated with the level of formal education. Second, one's level of understanding of Islamic inheritance law does not necessarily coincide with the level of interpretation of the law. Interpretation better reflects how the understanding is applied in daily practice. Interpretation can be influenced by social, cultural, economic, and individual or family context factors. Third, the interpretation of Islamic inheritance law has implications for the practice of implementing the distribution of inheritance.

Abstract

Communication strategy combines communication planning and management to achieve communication goals. This study focuses on the barriers and intercultural communication strategies between international and local students at UIN K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan, providing insight into interaction dynamics within an Islamic educational environment in Indonesia, which remains underexplored. This research is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The subjects include nine international students from Thailand, the Philippines, and Malaysia, along with local students who actively interact with them. Primary data were obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation, while secondary data came from official documents and personal archives. Data collection involved observing interactions, interviewing subjects regarding communication barriers and strategies, and supporting documentation. Data analysis utilized an interactive method, including data reduction, presentation, and continuous conclusion-drawing. Findings indicate that international students face communication barriers in Indonesia but adapt to the campus environment by engaging in both passive and active accommodations with local students. There is convergence accommodation as a strategy in which individuals adapt to each other's communicative behaviour, emphasizing language integration, active participation, and respect for social norms. Additionally, divergence accommodation is used to highlight individual differences, both verbally and nonverbally. Here, international students consistently value differences, exhibit flexibility, and learn from experience.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah menempatkan siswa sebagai peran utama dalam eksplorasi teks, baik secara mandiri maupun kolaboratif. Penelitian memiliki tujuan mengevaluasi efektivitas Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa kelas XI SMKN 2 Pekalongan dalam menganalisis struktur teks berita, sebuah keterampilan krusial untuk menangkap informasi secara tepat, efisien, dan efektif. Dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, penelitian ini menerapkan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah melalui pemberian tugas analisis struktur teks berita yang bersumber dari media massa, mencakup isu-isu lingkungan, sosial, dan budaya. Data yang diperoleh kemudian diolah menggunakan uji non-parametrik Wilcoxon untuk menilai perubahan kemampuan analitis siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam analisis struktur teks berita, dengan nilai sebesar 0,022 pada uji Wilcoxon. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa model ini terbukti memperkuat keterampilan berpikir kritis, kolaborasi, dan partisipasi aktif siswa. Aspek afektif dan psikomotorik juga meningkat, tercermin dari motivasi belajar yang lebih tinggi dan efektivitas sata bekerja dalam kelompok. Dengan tumbuhnya motivasi, kolaborasi, dan keterlibatan aktif siswa, model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah berhasil dalam meningkatkan keterampilan analisis struktur teks berita pada siswa SMKN 2 Pekalongan.
