Abstract

Background: Nutritional status remains a global issue, including in Indonesia. Nutritional status is influenced by several factors, namely food intake, sleep duration, and unbalanced physical activity, which can lead to either excessive or insufficient nutritional status. This study aims to investigate the relationship between dietary intake, sleep duration, and physical activity with the nutritional status of retail store employees in Batam City in 2023. Methods: This research is a cross-sectional analytical study with accidental sampling technique involving 60 samples. Food intake is measured using a semi-qualitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ), sleep duration is measured using a questionnaire on average weekly sleep duration, physical activity is measured using the Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ), and nutritional status is measured using the Body Mass Index (BMI) by measuring weight and height. Data analysis using correlation gamma test. Results: The correlation gamma test results indicate a significant relationship between food intake and nutritional status with a p-value of 0.000 (p ≤ 0.05)(r=0,919). However, the relationship between sleep duration and nutritional status resulted in a p-value of 0.137 (p > 0.05)(r = -0,284), and the relationship between physical activity and nutritional status resulted in a p-value of 0.758 (p>0.05)(r = -0,067). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between food intake and the nutritional status of retail store employees in Batam City in 2023. However, there is no significant relationship between sleep duration, physical activity, and the nutritional status of retail store employees in Batam City in 2023. Abstract

ABSTRAK Tantangan dalam Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia dalam dunia Pendidikan menjadi PR bagi seluruh pihak dalam satuan Pendidikan. Hal ini tampak pada belum maksimalnya peran guru dalam sikap positif dan masih rendahnya motivasi kerja, sehingga perlu adanya solusi terbaik untuk meningkatkan kualitas satuan Pendidikan. Tujuan kegiatan PKM ini memberikan Solusi pada masalah mitra, yaitu memberikan pemahaman tentang bagaimana bersikap positif dan meningkatkan motivasi kerja. Lokasi kegiatan PKM adalah Sekolah Islam Nabilah, Batam. Metode pengumpulan data dalam pengabdian ini adalah dengan cara memberikan kuesionar bagi responden serta wawancara dengan empat kepala sekolah per jenjang yang ada di Sekolah Islam Nabilah. Diharapkan dengan Sosialisasi ini dapat meningkatkan sikap positif dan juga motivasi di lingkungan kerja. Metode yang digunakan adalah sosialisasi, memberikan informasi serta sharing terkait Sikap dan Motivasi Kerja. Hasil dari PKM ini, terbukti guru-guru menjadi lebih semangat sehingga meningkatkan sikap positif dan motivasi dalam bekerja. Kata Kunci: Sumber Daya Manusia, Sikap dan Motivasi Kerja, Sekolah Islam Nabilah ABSTRACT Challenges in Human Resource Management in the world of Education are homework for all parties in the Education unit. This is evident in the less thanoptimal role of teachers in positive attitudes and low work motivation, so there needs to be the best solution to improve the quality of the Education unit. The purpose of this PKM activity is to provide a solution to partner problems, namely to provide an understanding of how to have a positive attitude and increase work motivation. The location of the PKM activity is Nabilah Islamic School, Batam. The method of data collection in this service is by providing questionnaires for respondents and interviews with four principals per level at Nabilah Islamic School. It is hoped that this Socialization can increase positive attitudes and motivation in the work environment. The methods used are socialization, providing information and sharing related to Work Attitudes and Motivation. The results of this PKM, it is proven that teachers become more enthusiastic so that they increase positive attitudes and motivation in working. Abstract

This review explores the benefits of Mesenchymal Stem Cell (MSC) therapy concerning Down syndrome (DS), cognitive and behavioral disorders, and other related physiological complications. Two pediatric patients with DS participated in this study, receiving MSC therapy over six months through a qualitative case study approach. Patient A was a 5-year-old male experiencing moderate developmental delays and recurrent infections. Patient B was a 6-year-old female facing mild intellectual disabilities and difficulties in social interaction. The initial and follow-up assessments conducted at baseline, three months, and six months after treatment revealed that patients A and B significantly improved in linguistic abilities, attention, social interactions, and motor coordination. Moreover, enhancing inflammatory indices, such as CRP and IL-6, indicated effective regulation of the immune response and reduced inflammation. Both patients adhered to the therapy without any reported side effects. Thus, the findings highlight the potential neuroprotective and immunomodulatory effects of MSC therapy, suggesting it may serve as a viable adjunct treatment for DS. However, due to the limited number of participants and the relatively short observation period, some limitations, such as the small group size and brief study duration, should be acknowledged, necessitating further larger-scale trials to validate these results and establish protocols. This study adds to the existing literature on MSCs in neurodevelopmental disorders and aims to provide a foundation for exploring new treatment options for DS.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan sebuah perusahaan sangat dipengaruhi oleh strategi pemasarannya. Pemasaran harus selalu diperbarui dan ditingkatkan karena terkait erat dengan kebutuhan dan keinginan pelanggan. Cara orang menjalani kehidupan mereka di kota dapat dipengaruhi oleh perkembangan kota. Sebaliknya, perubahan dalam contoh kehidupan dan pengembangan area lokal dapat memberi energi pada perubahan aktual masyarakat perkotaan, salah satunya melalui kemajuan penginapan. Winner Group adalah salah satu pengembang yang aktif di Kota Batam. Winner Sweet Home, Winner Flowe House, Winner Goshen Park, Winner Green Canyon, Winner Bugis Junction, Winner Mangrove Millenium, dan Winner Tiban Princes merupakan beberapa properti yang dimiliki oleh perusahaan ini di Kota Batam. Penelitian ini melihat bagaimana pembelian perumahan Winner Sweet Home dipengaruhi oleh digital marketing, harga dan lokasi terhadap keputusan pembelian. Strategi yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi linier berganda. Terdapat 179 konsumen dalam penelitian ini, dan 124 dari mereka termasuk dalam sampel. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa secara individual, Pemasaran Digital, Harga, dan Lokasi memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap Keputusan Pembelian. Secara keseluruhan, faktor-faktor tersebut secara signifikan memengaruhi keputusan konsumen.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe high unemployment rate among college graduates highlights the need for entrepreneurship-based competencies that focus not only on short-term training but also on organized and ongoing mentoring. The Young Entrepreneur Development Program through the Batam College Business Incubator was implemented as an effort to strengthen the capacity of students and graduates to start and develop businesses professionally. The implementation strategy is carried out through four main stages: entrepreneurship classes, bootcamp training, entrepreneurship training, and entrepreneurship training programs. Each program is designed to build an entrepreneurial mindset, develop specific trade skills, and provide access to systems, coaches, and encourage trade law enforcement. The results of this program demonstrated significant progress in entrepreneurial knowledge perspectives, entrepreneurial development skills through the Student MSME culinary bazaar, and readiness to develop business plans. Of the 30 initial participants, 10 successfully advanced to the training program and demonstrated a more focused increase in entrepreneurial competencies. This program not only influenced changes in students' entrepreneurial talents but also strengthened the role of universities as operators of regional economic strengthening. Therefore, the entrepreneurship training program proved to be a key approach in creating competitive young entrepreneurs, especially in the Batam region as an economic and industrial area.Keywords: Business Incubation, Entrepreneurship, Batam UniversityABSTRAKTingginya angka pengangguran di kalangan lulusan perguruan tinggi, menyoroti kebutuhan akan kompetensi berbasis kewirausahaan yang tidak hanya berfokus pada pelatihan jangka pendek, tetapi juga pada pendampingan yang terorganisir dan berkelanjutan. Program Pembentukan Wirausaha Muda Melalui Inkubator Bisnis Perguruan Tinggi Batamâ dilaksanakan sebagai upaya untuk memperkuat kapasitas mahasiswa dan lulusan dalam memulai dan mengembangkan bisnis secara profesional. Strategi penerapan dilakukan melalui empat tahap utama: kelas kewirausahaan, pelatihan bootcamp, pelatihan kewirausahaan, dan program pelatihan kewirausahaan. Setiap program dirancang untuk membangun mentalitas kewirausahaan, mengembangkan keterampilan perdagangan khusus, dan memberikan akses kepada sistem, pelatih, serta mendorong penegakan hukum perdagangan. Hasil dari program ini menunjukkan kemajuan yang signifikan dalam perspektif pengetahuan kewirausahaan, keterampilan pengembangan kewirausahaan melalui bazar kuliner UMKM Mahasiswa, dan kesiapan untuk mengembangkan rencana bisnis. Dari 30 peserta awal, 10 peserta berhasil maju ke program pelatihan dan menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi kewirausahaan yang lebih terfokus. Program ini tidak hanya memengaruhi perubahan bakat kewirausahaan mahasiswa, tetapi juga memperkuat peran perguruan tinggi sebagai operator penguatan ekonomi daerah. Abstract

Small and Medium Industries (SMEs) face various challenges and opportunities that require competency strengthening. The competency issues of Small and Medium Industries (SMEs) in the Riau Islands Province include various challenges that hinder the growth and sustainability of their businesses. The research hypothesis testing was conducted using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) approach. Based on the results of the analysis is Competence, commitment have a significant effect on the motivation of Business Actors Fostered by the Packaging, Training does not have a significant effect on the motivation of Business Actors Fostered by the Riau Islands Province Industry and Trade Office. Work commitment has a significant effect on the motivation of Business Actors Fostered by the Riau Islands Province Industry and Trade Office. Competence, commitment and training have a significant effect on the performance of Business Actors Fostered by the Riau Islands Province Industry and Trade Office. Competence has a significant effect on performance through motivation of Business Actors Fostered by the Riau Islands Province Industry and Trade Office. Training does not have a significant effect on performance through motivation of Business Actors Fostered by the Riau Islands Province Industry and Trade Office.
