Abstract

Initially a social media platform, TikTok has evolved into the most extensively downloaded medium for product promotion and sales, prompting both endorsement and critique. This study aims to explore the impact of enjoyment as a mediating variable between perceived interactivity, immersion, and buying decisions utilizing SEM-PLS analysis. Findings reveal that perceived interactivity and immersion significantly and positively influence enjoyment, yet perceived interactivity fails to significantly impact purchase decisions positively. Notably, enjoyment as a mediating variable demonstrates mediating effects on purchase decisions, with distinct degrees of mediation, including partial and full mediation.

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital payment technologies has transformed how people conduct financial transactions in Indonesia. As one of the leading innovations, QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) plays a key role in promoting a cashless society across various regions. This study aims to analyze users’ continuance intention toward the use of QRIS in Southeast Sulawesi through the lens of the Expectation Confirmation Model (ECM) framework. Given the growing adoption of digital payment systems, the research seeks to systematically identify and evaluate the key determinants influencing users’ sustained usage behavior. Quantitative methods were applied by collecting data from 250 respondents who are QRIS users. The results of the analysis show that expectation confirmation and perceived usefulness have a significant influence on user satisfaction. However, despite high satisfaction, no significant relationship was found between satisfaction and intention to continue using. In addition, habit was shown to contribute positively to intention to continue. These findings highlight the importance of user experience and trust in digital services. This study recommends further exploration to understand other factors that may influence intention to continue using in the context of digital payment systems.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of digital mindset on business performance among culinary MSMEs, with technology adoption as a mediating variable and Need for Stimulation (NST) as a moderating factor, highlighting psychological aspects in the digital transformation of the culinary sector. Employing a quantitative approach and an explanatory research design, data were collected from 125 culinary MSME actors in Kendari City through structured surveys and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling. The findings reveal that a digital mindset positively affects technology adoption, but does not directly influence business performance; technology adoption serves as a significant mediator. NST was found to negatively moderate the relationship between technology adoption and business performance, indicating that excessive stimulation levels may hinder the effectiveness of technology implementation. This study extends the understanding of Optimal Stimulation Level Theory and emphasizes that while the digital mindset is a crucial prerequisite, it is not the sole determinant of improved business performance. The practical implication suggests the need for digital training programs that consider the psychological characteristics of business actors to enhance the effectiveness of digital transformation. However, the study is limited by its sample and cross-sectional design, and future research is recommended to adopt a longitudinal approach and explore alternative moderating variables.

Abstract

This study examines the perceptions of the community in North Kolaka regarding blue carbon mangroves in the context of climate change mitigation. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research involved 200 respondents from two districts: Pakue and Watunohu. The results indicate that the majority of respondents have a high awareness of the importance of mangroves as carbon sinks and environmental protection. However, understanding of the blue carbon concept remains low, with 37.5% of respondents indicating they have a fair understanding. Furthermore, 88 % of respondents believe that mangroves play a crucial role in climate change mitigation. This study recommends more intensive educational programs to enhance knowledge and community involvement in sustainable mangrove management, in order to support efforts for mitigation and the preservation of mangrove ecosystems in North Kolaka Regency.
