Abstract

This study embarks on an investigation to unearth evidence that innovation may, in certain contexts, fail to foster enterprise development. Innovation has been identified as a key driver of firms’ growth. However, to have successful innovation requires some minimum capabilities and resources. Based on this notion, we tried to find evidence that innovation may fail to help enterprises develop. The study use the World Bank's enterprise survey. The survey collected samples from ASEAN firms. Respondents were chosen by using stratified random sampling technique based on the type of business for all small, medium and large non-agricultural companies in all geographical areas. We used instrumental variable regression to avoid simultaneous causality. The findings show that while innovation has a considerable impact on the growth of non-SMEs, it has little or no impact on SMEs. This confirms our prediction that innovation dampen firms’ development, particularly those with limited abilities to innovate successfully. The research emphasizing the importance of tailored approaches to accommodate the diverse landscape of businesses, particularly in the dynamic ASEAN market.

Abstract

This study investigates the predictability of sample skewness on Indonesian stock market returns as represented by the JCI, LQ45, and JCI. The sample period starts from January 2001 to December 2022, with a prediction period from July 2009 to December 2022 that accommodates the COVID-19 pandemic crisis. The results showed that sample skewness was able to predict market excess returns one month in advance. This ability emerged, especially when the COVID-19 pandemic crisis hit. This finding indicates that investors tend to look for securities that have lottery-like characteristics, which causes the price of these securities to experience mispricing. However, this mispricing can be adjusted in the next period so that this strategy is not profitable to implement. Keywords: Market return predictability, Sample skewness, Sample variance Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi kemampuan prediksi (prediktabilitas) sample skewness terhadap return pasar saham indonesia yang diwakili oleh IHSG, LQ45, dan JCI. Periode sampel dimulai dari Januari 2001 sampai Desember 2022 dengan periode prediksi dari Juli 2009 sampai Desember 2022 yang mengakomodir krisis pandemi Covid-19. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sample skewness mampu memprediksi excess return pasar satu bulan ke depan. Kemampuan ini muncul khususnya saat krisis pandemi Covid-19 melanda. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa investor cenderung mencari sekuritas yang memiliki karakteristik seperti lotere yang menyebabkan harga sekuritas ini mengalami mispricing. Akan tetapi, mispricing ini dapat disesuaikan di periode selanjutnya sehingga strategi ini tidak menguntungkan untuk diterapkan. Abstract

Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) harus berperan dalam pembangunan ekonomi berkelanjutan dan memiliki tanggung jawab sosial dalam melakukan kegiatan produksi yang berorientasi pada konsepgreen marketing(pemasaran hijau) agar menghasilkan produk ramah lingkungan sehingga perlu ada perubahan perilaku UMKM untuk beradaptasi konsep pemasaran hijau dalam kegiatan produksinya demi keberlanjutan usahanya dalam jangka panjang. Terkait dengan hal tersebut maka penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh green marketing terhadap perilaku UMKM di Kota Kendari. Untuk melihat pengaruh green marketing terhadap pelaku UMKM di Kota Kendari maka dilakukan pendekatan analisis data menggunakan SEM-PLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwagreen product, green price, dan green placetidak berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perilaku UMKM sedangkan green promotion berpengaruh poositif dan signifikan terhadap perilaku UMKM. Dimensi Perilaku UMKM yang meliputi aspek kognitif, afektif dan konatif sangat berperan penting dalam mengimplentasikan green marketing, namun demikian untuk mencapai hal tersebut dibutuhkan peran pemerintah (Government Pressure), persaingan pasar (Competitive Pressure) danSocial Responsibilitypelaku UMKM terhadap keberlanjutan lingkugan hidup.Kata kunci: green product, green price, green place, green promotion, perilaku UMKM

Abstract

This study aims to determine the determinants of capital structure complexity in the mining sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2017-2021 period. In this study, the factors that determine the complexity of capital structure include indicators of asset structure, company size, profitability, inflation, and interest rates, while the complexity of capital structure includes indicators of the size of the number of capital sources and the level of concentration of capital sources. The number of samples was 52 mining companies collected using purposive sampling technique. This study uses quantitative data obtained from data listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) and the World Bank portal, and uses panel data regression analysis techniques. The findings show that only asset structure has a significant positive influence on the complexity of capital structure, which is measured by the number of capital sources and the concentration of capital sources. Meanwhile, the variables of firm size, profitability, interest rate and inflation have no significant influence on the complexity of capital structure in mining companies.

Abstract

Pelatihan manajemen mutu merupakan salah satu bantuk upaya untuk membekali para pelaku industri kecil menengah (IKM) mengenai pentingnya memahami standarisasi dan implementasi manajemen mutu secara komprehensif untuk menciptakan value added bagi usaha serta sebagai bentuk quality control. Pelatihan ini diikuti oleh 30 orang peserta yang berasal dari sentra IKM pangan dan meubiler Kota Kendari. Pelatihan disajikan dalam bentuk pengenalan standar ISO 9001:2015 sebagai instrumen mutu yang berlaku secara internasional sehingga secara konvergen dapat diterapkan di area manapun pada usaha skala besar, menengah, maupun kecil. Hasil pelatihan ini menunjukkan bahwa masih kurangnya pemahaman pelaku IKM akan manajemen mutu dan penerapan ISO 9001:2015 sebelum pelatihan diselenggarakan dan secara signifikan peserta menunjukkan perubahan yang lebih baik mengenai pemahaman manajemen mutu setelah mengikuti pelatihan. Hal ini mensiyalkan bahwa pelatihan dan pendampingan manajemen mutu lebih lanjut masih sangat diperlukan untuk pelaku IKM.

Abstract

The purpose of this socialization was to increase the understanding and awareness of tofu and tempeh small and medium industries (SMIs) in Lambusa Village about the concept and benefits of green products in producing environmentally friendly products. The methods used were lectures, discussions, and simulations of green product implementation in the tofu and tempeh production process. The results of the socialization activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of the concept and benefits of green products. Participants were also enthusiastic about implementing it despite constraints on limited capital and knowledge of environmentally friendly technologies. The service team provided affordable alternative solutions, such as waste utilization and energy savings. This socialization activity succeeded in raising awareness among tofu and tempeh SMIs about the importance of producing environmentally friendly products to increase competitiveness and business sustainability

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis daya saing UMKM di Kabupaten Buton menggunakan pendekatan Analisis Fisbhone menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitiatif dengan jumlah informan 5 – 10 % dari jumlah total untuk setiap usaha. Metode pengambilan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa UMKM di Kabupaten Buton Tengah menghadapi kendala SDM, permodalan, bahan baku, manajemen, dan teknologi, sehingga daya saing rendah. Pemberdayaan berbasis digital diperlukan, tidak hanya kemudahan perizinan atau bantuan finansial. Kolaborasi Pentahelix antara pemangku kepentingan merupakan model potensial untuk meningkatkan daya saing UMKM di Kabupaten Buton Tengah, melalui dukungan komprehensif bagi UMKM dalam bersaing di pasar lokal maupun global.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan sosialisasi ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kesadaran wajib pajak bagi pelaku usaha burung walet di Kabupaten Kolaka Utara, Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi wawancara awal, penyuluhan, edukasi, dan wawancara akhir. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan kesadaran wajib pajak yang signifikan di kalangan pelaku usaha burung walet setelah mengikuti kegiatan sosialisasi. Peserta menjadi lebih memahami pentingnya membayar pajak, jenis-jenis pajak yang harus dibayar, tata cara pelaporan dan pembayaran pajak, serta sanksi yang berlaku bagi wajib pajak yang tidak patuh. Kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi dalam perkembangan ilmu ekonomi dan bisnis, khususnya dalam bidang perpajakan bagi pelaku usaha sarang burung walet khususnya di daerah kabupaten kolaka utara.

Abstract

Agribusiness is a business based on agricultural business or other fields that support it, both upstream and downstream sectors that refer to the main view that agribusiness works on the food sector chain (food supply chain) in other words, agribusiness is an economic perspective for food supply businesses. This study aims to assess the potential of agribusiness hubs in increasing the added value of the agricultural sector in Kolaka Regency which consists of identifying agribusiness products, economic and institutional infrastructure profiles and formulating pre-feasibility of Agribusiness in Kolaka Regency. The research method used is a qualitative approach and the results obtained show that Kolaka Regency has several commodities that have potential as agribusiness hub commodities in the food crop, horticulture and plantation sectors. The economic and institutional infrastructure of farmers as part of the Agribusiness Hub support system still faces obstacles, such as limited access to marketing, financing, and digital literacy. The implementation of the Agribusiness Hub model recommended in this study is the Managing Agency approach.

Abstract

This community service is entitled Increasing Sales at Bae-Bae Rice Bowl Micro Small and Medium Enterprises. This community service activity is part of the learning process which aims to provide direct experience outside of the world of work. This research aims to evaluate the implementation of the community service program at Bae Bae Rice Bowl, a Micro Small Medium Enterprise engaged in Food and Beverage in Kendari. This service program is focused on activating Tiktok social media accounts with promotional content to improve brand positioning, sales, and build reputation. The results of Community Service show that the service program at Bae Bae Rice Bowl has successfully reactivated the Tiktok account with an effective content strategy. The result is increased social media engagement and product sales, as well as improved brand positioning and consumer trust.
