Abstract

The rapid development of information and communication technology today has provided space for people to get information easily and quickly. Information media continues to change along with the development of the era that demands everything is digital. This is a challenge for the world of broadcasting, especially radio, to continue to maintain its existence. The purpose of this research is to find out how the strategy carried out by LPP RRI Jayapura in increasing the interest of listeners in the city of Jayapura. The object of this research is LPP RRI Jayapura. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach by determining informants by purposive sampling. Data collection is obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study show that in increasing listener interest, LPP RRI Jayapura carries out various strategies including: First, In terms of radio broadcast programs, it can be grouped into four stages, namely: a), program planning includes: program ideas, target listeners, broadcasting time, production costs, to organizing work teams. b), program production, program production carried out by LPP RRI Jayapura, namely creating an event program that is suitable for each daypart by meeting the targets in each program. c), program execution, for the leading executor in this case, namely an announcer so that the selection of LPP RRI Jayapura broadcasters adjusts to the character of each program. d), program supervision and evaluation, for supervision in the broadcast process will be accounted for by the head of each program, but in the organizational structure the heads of fields will account to the head of the station, in general supervision and evaluation will be carried out by SPI (Internal Supervisory Rules) RRI every three months. Second, RRI Digital broadcast radio Jayapura. The management of digital-based broadcast radio is distributing radio broadcasts on online media such as facebook, youtube, RRIPlay Go application, streaming radio and RRINET. Abstract

Data from the Central Statistics Agency (Badan Pusat Statistik) records that until 2020, there were 130,743 companies providing construction services in Indonesia. This large number results in tight competition in attracting clients. Competition became more complex during the Covid-19 pandemic which resulted in companies providing construction services experiencing difficulties, one of which was the Artekindo Group which was founded in the city of Jayapura, Papua province. This research aims to find out and describe strategiesMarketing Public Relations which is used in forming or building the Artekindo Group company image so that it can survive amidst the intense competition that is currently occurring. The object of this research is strategyMarketing Public Relations in forming or building a company image. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with data collection methods in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique consists of three flows, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This research shows the results that strategyMarketing Public Relations What Artekindo Group applies in forming its image is:pull strategy, push strategy, andpower strategy. The three strategies implemented have proven successful in making Artekindo Group survive and able to gain clients even in difficult conditions.

Abstract

The Communication Science Dictionary application was created to meet the independent learning needs of students studying the field of Communication Science. During the creation stage, the application was tested on a limited basis on students taking Communication Science courses in the Visual Communication Design study program, Makassar State University. The trial phase was continued by measuring the level of student satisfaction using the EUCS method (End User Computing Satisfaction), the results show that in terms of content, accuracy, form, ease of use, and timeliness, the application meets user satisfaction. The results of the trial and measuring the level of satisfaction became the basis for carrying out this socialization activity targeting Communication Science study program students at three other universities spread across three different provinces, namely at Muhammadiyah University of Papua, Muhammadiyah University of Buton, and Mbojo Bima University. Previously, the Communication Science Dictionary application had never been socialized and no similar application had ever been used at the three universities. The participatory method is the method applied in this service activity, where Communication Science study program students at the three universities are actively involved in using the application through smartphone each of them during the socialization activities. The result of this service is that students have independent learning media to understand various terms in the field of Communication Science.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi dan informasi sangat berperan besar dalam daya saing bisnis di era globalisasi. Untuk mampu bersaing di tengah-tengah persaingan di era global ini, sangat dibutuhkan kemampuan komunikasi korporat yang efektif, hal ini mencakup beberapa elemen penting di antaranya; Kemampuan dalam mengelola pesan, pemanfaatan media komunikasi yang sesuai, kemampuan dalam memahami audiensnya serta mampu menyesuaikan diri dengan dinamika pasar. Alfamidi yang merupakan anak cabang PT Midi Utama Indonesia Tbk kota Jayapura yang berkoontribusi langsung dalam pembangunan perekonomian mikro juga menjalankan amanah dalam undang-undang No. 40 Tahun 2007 Perseroan Terbatas (UUPT), Pasal 74 tentang kewajiban Tanggung Jawab Sosial bagi Perseroan Terbatas (PT). Ini merupakan upaya dari perusahaan dalam menjaga citra baik di masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana strategi Corporate Communications Alfamidi kota Jayapura dalam meningkatkan citra melalui program Corporate SocialResponsibility (Csr). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan cara melakukan wawancara secara online by WhatsApp dan Email. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: Pelaksanaan kegiatan  tanggung jawab   sosial  yangdilakukan   oleh Corporate Communications Alfamidi adalah bentuk rasa kepedulian perusahaan terhadap masalah-masalah sosial yang terjadi di lingkungan kota jayapura. Kehadiran Alfamidi di kota jaya pura yang sudah berjalan selama 3 tahun ini, telah melaksanakan program Corporate Social Responsibility terhadap masyarakat kota jayapura, yakni pada bidang pendidikan, bidang sosial, bidang ekonomi, Pendidikan dan lingkungan.   Kata  kunci  :  Corporate Sosial Responsibility, Corporate Communications, Alfamidi, Citra

Abstract

The rapid advancement of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has significantly shaped modern society. However, this widespread technological presence is not matched by an equal rise in digital literacy and cybersecurity awareness, particularly in Indonesia's frontier, outermost, and underdeveloped regions (3T areas) such as Sanggaria Village in Keerom Regency, Papua. The primary goal of this community service initiative is to increase digital literacy and cybersecurity awareness among the local population, especially the youth, who are among the most active users of digital technology. A lack of cybersecurity knowledge makes the community vulnerable to various forms of cybercrime. Therefore, this program focuses on educating residents especially teenagers about the importance of digital safety and responsible technology use. The target audience includes the general public, with a specific emphasis on youth, given their high engagement with digital platforms but limited understanding of the risks involved. The methods employed in this program included field observation, educational presentations, and interactive group discussions. Through direct engagement and interactive material delivery, this initiative successfully improved participants' understanding of digital literacy, especially in terms of digital safety. The positive responses and feedback received suggest that the community is receptive to new knowledge and highlights the need for similar educational efforts in the future to ensure sustainable digital empowerment.

Abstract

The gap between students’ theoretical competencies in higher education and the practical skills required in the professional and industrial world has driven the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) during the Kabinet Indonesia Maju 2019–2024 period to initiate the Certified Internship and Independent Study Program (MSIB). This program is part of the Merdeka Belajar–Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) curriculum and involves students, industry partners, supervising lecturers, and university coordinators. This community service activity focuses on optimizing the role of the Program Supervising Lecturer (Dosen Pendamping Program/DPP) in ensuring that all learning experiences gained by students during internships align with each study program’s learning outcomes (CPL). The activity was conducted at Perkumpulan Sosial Ekonomi Akselerator Lab (SEAL) Malang using an active mentoring strategy consisting of three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. A total of 46 students participated in two roles—Content Creator & Communication Strategic and AWS Certification (Full Stack Cloud Engineering)—for one semester. The results indicate that structured and intensive mentoring significantly enhanced learning effectiveness, strengthened students’ competencies, and bridged the gap between academic curricula and industry needs. Thus, the role of the Supervising Lecturer is proven to be essential in supporting the successful implementation of the MSIB program.

Abstract

This study explores the role of interpersonal communication in enhancing team work effectiveness in the digital era, focusing on how effective communication practices can strengthen mutual understanding, coordination, and collaboration within teams. Utilizing a qualitative method and literature review, this research collected and analyzed data from various contemporary sources to comprehend the dynamics of interpersonal communication within the context of technology-supported team work. The findings indicate that interpersonal communication characterized by openness, empathy, and support not only strengthens relationships among team members and builds trust but also reduces misunderstandings and conflicts. Furthermore, the study highlights the importance of training in interpersonal communication skills to bolster team cooperation and expedite the collaboration process by leveraging appropriate digital communication tools. These findings underscore the significance of effective interpersonal communication strategies and the integration of digital communication technology to create a productive and harmonious work environment, as well as to improve job satisfaction, motivation, and employee retention in the digital era.

Abstract

Komunikasi politik di Papua mencerminkan pertemuan unik antara modernisasi demokrasi dan sistem simbolik tradisional. Politik di Papua tidak hanya dipahami sebagai perebutan kekuasaan, tetapi juga sebagai media ekspresi identitas budaya dan legitimasi kolektif masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologis dengan dukungan wawancara etnografis bersama tokoh adat, tokoh agama, dan aktor politik. Analisis dilakukan melalui teori strukturasi Giddens, teori komunikasi antarbudaya Gudykunst, dan antropologi simbolik Geertz untuk memahami reproduksi makna dalam praktik kampanye politik. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa kemenangan pasangan Matius-Aryoko pada Pilgub Papua 2025 dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan mereka mengintegrasikan narasi budaya, modal kepercayaan sosial, dan simbol lokal, seperti noken dan ritual adat, ke dalam pesan politik yang persuasif. Strategi ini menjadikan kampanye sebagai performa budaya yang memperkuat kohesi sosial dan legitimasi politik. Komunikasi politik berbasis budaya di Papua berfungsi sebagai negosiasi dialogis antara kearifan lokal dan proyek demokrasi nasional. Kandidat yang mampu memadukan simbol kultural dengan etika komunal memperoleh legitimasi moral dan penerimaan publik yang lebih luas. politik berbasis budaya menjadi jalan transformatif bagi nasionalisme Papua, yang bergerak dari pinggiran menuju pusat wacana kebangsaan Indonesia.   Kata Kunci: Komunikasi Politik; Legitimasi Budaya; Papua;Kearifan Lokal; Nasionalisme Transformatif

Abstract

Pengembangan pariwisata di Papua membutuhkan strategi komunikasi pemasaran yang efektif serta peningkatan kapasitas SDM, khususnya pada sektor kuliner. Mitra kegiatan, D’Sultan Café & Resto di Kota Jayapura, masih menghadapi beberapa kendala berupa pemanfaatan pemasaran digital yang belum optimal, keterbatasan kompetensi SDM dalam pelayanan dan pengelolaan usaha, serta belum tersedianya website resmi sebagai media promosi. Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman mitra mengenai komunikasi pemasaran berbasis bauran pemasaran, Meningkatkan pengetahuan SDM mitra di bidang pelayanan, serta menyediakan website sebagai teknologi tepat guna yang mendukung memperluas pemasaran. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui pelatihan, sosialisasi, pendampingan, dan penyerahan teknologi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta berdasarkan pretest–posttest, meningkatnya kesadaran mitra tentang strategi pemasaran digital, serta tersedianya platform website yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media promosi usaha. Program ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kapasitas mitra dan memperkuat daya saing usaha kuliner dalam mendukung pengembangan pariwisata berbasis teknologi digital di Papua.
