Abstract

Abstract

This paper examines the effect of financial liberalization on growth volatility of macroeconomics variable using dynamic panel model for nineteen Asia-Pacific countries for period of 1976–2015. Our results showed that the benefit of financial liberalization in Asia-Pacific region caused by the low volatility of the macroeconomic growth only occur in the group of developed countries, and not occur in the group of developing countries. This proved that the existence of financial liberalization provides no full beneficial effects in Asia-Pacific region.

Abstract

This paper investigates the relationship between economic growth and CO2 emissions from 1994 to 2018 using a panel approach from eight ASEAN countries. We found an established result using the Panel ARDL Pooled Mean Group method. First, the panel Cointegration analysis shows a significant long-term relationship between GDP and CO2 emissions. Second, the error correction mechanism shows a stable and consistent value. Third, we found that GDP has a significant long-term effect on CO2 emissions in ASEAN countries. Fourth, our results also show that GDP significantly impacts CO2 emissions in the short term for four countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Cambodia. Based on these empirical results, implications and policy recommendations are presented. ASEAN countries should implement green growth policies by encouraging economic development which does not suppress the environment.

Abstract

In this research, steady state and thermal crack analysis was carried out on clear glass exposed to heat radiation with different thicknesses. The analysis process is carried out from the thickness of the glass and testing the temperature variation of the glass testing process to find out the maximum temperature limit of radiation exposure until the glass multiplies thermal crack with steady state analysis of the predetermined ideal heat time. The data collection method used in this study was through testing in an oven where data collection was based on the results of a thermal steady state analysis. The increase in temperature per minute from the first minute was 138.4 ⁰C to the 7th minute or the end was 179.3 °C, from the results research states that in the 7th minute the glass has experienced a crack or crack where the crack starts from the side of the glass which is insulated from radiant heat.

Abstract

Rice is one of the strategic food commodities in Indonesia. Unbalanced demand and supply of food can cause economic and social turmoil. Covid-19 has disrupted the world's food system with the closure of a number of regions and the distribution and movement of the food trade chain is hampered. The Covid-19 pandemic has not only damaged health but also had an impact on economic stability. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the volatility of Indonesian rice prices before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. The data used uses monthly time-series secondary data. Starting from January 2010 to February 2021. The Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) method was used in this study. The results showed that the factors that influence the volatility of Indonesian rice prices in the long term are world oil prices, rice production, world rice prices and the rupiah exchange rate. Meanwhile, in the short term, it is changes in rice price volatility in the previous period, changes in rice prices, changes in world oil prices, changes in exchange rates and the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of transactional leadership style and transformational leadership style on employee performance through work motivation as an intervening variable. This research is a survey research, which uses an explanatory research type, which provides an explanation of the causal relationship between variables through hypothesis testing. The sampling technique in this study using purposive sampling technique, the sample used amounted to 47 respondents. The research method uses path analysis using SPSS 24 software. Data were analyzed using instrument tests and path analysis. The results showed that each variable had a significant effect even though the effect was not too large. Partially Transactional leadership style (X1) has a significant influence on employee performance (Y). Partially Transformational leadership style (X2) has a significant influence on employee performance (Y). Partially, work motivation (Z) has a significant effect on employee performance (Y).Partially Transactional Leadership style (X1) has a significant effect on Work Motivation (Z). Partially, the Transformational Leadership style (X1) has a significant influence on work motivation (Z). Partially the Transactional Leadership style (X2 has a significant influence on employee performance (Y) through work motivation (Z). Partially, the Transformational Leadership style (X2) has a significant influence on employee performance (Y) through work motivation (Z)
