Abstract

Postpartum women who had mild postpartum depression range from 10/1000 live births and moderate/severe postpartum depression ranging from 30-200 /1000 live births. This study aims to analyze factors that influence the risk of postpartum depression in postpartum mothers. Research Methods: This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. The population in this study were postpartum women aged 2-6 weeks with 121 respondents, selected by two-stage Cluster sampling, followed by random sampling. The research was conducted at the primary health center in Central Jakarta area using the Edinburgh Postpartum Depression Scale (EPDS) questionnaire. It was found that mothers who had breastfeeding problems had a greater risk of developing postpartum depression (OR; 39.3), the greater the husband's support, the lower the risk of postpartum depression (OR; 0.13), and it was found that lower-income resulted in a greater risk of depression postpartum (OR; 14.7). In conclusion, the risk of post-partum depression is influenced by three factors: breastfeeding, husband support, and income. Of the three factors, the more dominant cause of postpartum depression risk is breastfeeding problems.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kader sangat berperan di tengah masyarakat sebagai jembatan antara petugas kesehatan dengan masyarakat untuk mendapatkan informasi dan layanan Kesehatan. Hasil survey dari kegiatan kebidanan komunitas didaptkan adanya kendala komunikasi antara kader dengan masyarakat. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah terjalin komunikasi yang baik antara masyarakat dan kader, sehingga penyampaian informasi terkait kegiatan posyandu dapat diterima langsung oleh masyarakat dengan baik. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan metode refleksi, edukasi, roleplay dan evaluasi. Kader posyandu Mawar RW.04 Kelurahan Cilincing yang hadir pada kegiatan ini berjumlah 22 orang. Indikator keberhasilan kegiatan ini dilihat dari hasil pretest dan postest yang dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah pemberian edukasi, dengan nilai pretest 68,3% menjadi 88,6% nilai postest. Optimalisasi peran kader posyandu ini sebagai modal bagi kader dalam melaksanakan promosi kesehatan dan menjalankan peran serta tugas sebagai penggerak masyarakat khususnya dalam kesehatan.Abstract: The existence of kader in the community functions as a bridge between health workers and the community and helps people overcome their health problems and obtain health services. The results of a survey of community midwifery activities found that there were communication barriers between cadres and the community. The aim of this activity is to establish good communication between the community and cadres, so that the delivery of information related to posyandu activities can be received directly by the community well. This activity is carried out using reflection, education, roleplay and evaluation methods. There were 22 kader of Posyandu Mawar RW.04 Cilincing Village who took part in this activity. Indicators of the success of this activity can be seen from the results of the pretest and posttest carried out before and after providing education, with a pretest score of 68.3% to 88.6% of the posttest score. Optimizing the role of posyandu cadres as cadre capital in carrying out health promotion and carrying out their roles and duties as community mobilizers, especially in the health sector.

Abstract

Breastfeeding and maternal mental health in the perinatal period are two important issues in public health. Breastfeeding is the most ideal way to feed babies and has positive short and long term impacts for both mothers and babies. Breastfeeding is a natural process, but many mothers experience problems and feel pressured by breastfeeding. Mothers who had high levels of anxiety and/or depression (high scores on psychometric tests that detect mental health disorders) before or during pregnancy or after delivery had more difficulties with breastfeeding than others. The aim of this study was to synthesize the results of current research on the relationship between perinatal mental health and breastfeeding outcomes. This study uses the literature review method. Literature searches used Pubmed, Tandfoline, Science Direct, and Google Scholar in 2018 – 2022. Articles were screened independently by researchers using the PRISMA method. Based on the 11 articles analyzed, it was shown that most of the longitudinal studies showed a relationship between perinatal mental health and breastfeeding outcomes. Other longitudinal studies also explain the existence of a two-way causality relationship between perinatal mental health and breastfeeding outcomes variables. Perinatal mental health influences practice and continuity of breastfeeding. Conversely, the practice and continuity of breastfeeding also affects the mental health of mothers after giving birth.

Abstract

Purpose – Father play an important role in children’s sexual education as a basis for the formation of moral values and healthy sexual behavior in adolescents. Father’s involvement in sexual education can increase teenager’s understanding and readiness in facing challenges related to sexuality, such as pre marital sexual. The aim of this research is to determine the role of fathers in sexuality education on the attitudes of high school teenagers regarding sexuality and perceptions of pre-marital sexual relations in the city of Bogor.Method – This study uses quantitative research with a cross-sectional design, the research was conducted online with purposive random sampling on 104 high school teenagers in Bogor city. Pearson correlation test analysis was carried out with SPSS v.25. Findings – There is a significant and strong correlation between the role of communication and father’s attitude towards highschool teenagers’ perceptions of sexuality (both p value = 0.00; communication r value = 0,855; attitude r value = 0,855). There is a significant with a weak correlation between fathers' sexual education communication and teenagers' premarital sexual perceptions with p value = 0.04; r = -0,197, that the better father’s communication, the lower high school teenagers’ premarital sexual perception. Research Implications – Fathers must play a role in sexual education with good communication and attitudes with their teenagers. Prenting classes on communication and sexual education are needed for parents, especially fathers. The measurement of the father's role in this study is less detailed; it is hoped that in further research the father's role can be elaborated again in various dimensions.
