Abstract

Abstract   Excess body weight is a major factor (flexible) that affects blood pressure as well as the development of hypertension. Less nutrition can increase the risk of infectious diseases and more nutrition with excessive body fat accumulation increases the risk of suffering degenerative diseases such as blood pressure. The purpose of research body mass index (BMI) relationship with blood pressure in elderly in Pelem Village, Campurdarat District, Tulungagung regency in 2017.The research was conducted on March 19, 2017. Type of observational research, analytic design with cross sectional approach and research instrument in the form of questionnaire. Research population of all elderly with total 50 elderly in Pelem Village, Campurdarat Sub-district. Samples were taken by purposive sampling technique of 40 people. Independent variable BMI, dependent variable of blood pressure. Data were analyzed by spearman rho test. The result showed that most of the respondents had BMI with normal BB category which was 28 people (70%) and almost all of the respondents had normal blood pressure, that is 31 people (77,5%). Spearman rho statistic test obtained P Value = 0,000 <0,05 so that H1 accepted, which means there is relation body mass index (BMI) with blood pressure at elderly in Pelem Village District Campurdarat Tulungagung regency year 2017. The body mass index of the elderly can be used as a prediction of disease experienced by the elderly, where high BMI in the obesity category allows the elderly to experience   diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure. Abstract

Caring for dementia patients is a demanding task requiring physical, emotional, and psychological resilience. Family caregivers' ability to provide optimal care is significantly influenced by their level of self-efficacy. Higher self-efficacy is associated with better caregiving capabilities and lower stress levels. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between self-efficacy and the ability of family caregivers to provide care for dementia patients. Using a quantitative, cross-sectional design, data were collected through the Caregiver Self-Efficacy Scale (CaSES) and caregiving ability from 50 family caregivers. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics and Gamma correlation. The results showed that 50% of caregivers had high self-efficacy, and 48% demonstrated good caregiving abilities. Statistical tests revealed a significant positive relationship between caregiver self-efficacy and caregiving ability (p = 0.006, r = 0.453). Caregivers with higher self-efficacy demonstrated better caregiving skills.

Abstract

Indonesia continues to face the issue of stunting. Infants with a body length of less than 48 cm and a body weight of less than 2500 grams are susceptible to stunting. This study aimed to examine the variables that impact the weight and body length of neonates. This research was characterized as observational analytic, utilizing a cross-sectional approach. The population comprises mothers who gave birth in Tulungagung Regency in 2021. The research sample consists of mothers who met the inclusion criteria for maternal pregnancies, including high-risk and got assistance from health cadres during pregnancy. The sample also includes the babies born to these mothers. The data was gathered by testing hemoglobin levels, stature, mass, mid-upper arm circumference, and the length and weight of newborn infants. The data were subjected to analysis using multiple linear regression tests. The maternal weight gain during pregnancy and mid-upper arm circumference had the potential to impact the body length and weight of the baby. Meeting the appropriate nutritional requirements during pregnancy enhances the nutritional well-being of expectant mothers, enabling them to offer optimal nourishment for their developing fetuses and promoting proper growth and development.

Abstract

Background: Injury is a condition in which the anatomical structure of body tissues is disturbed. Injuries can be superficial, such as damage to the epithelium of the skin, or deep, involving subcutaneous tissue, fat, and muscle, as well as bone and related structures, such as tendons, nerves, and blood vessels resulting from trauma and physical force. The purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge to construction workers as an effort to change the target attitude about First Aid in Construction Workers Affected by Vulnus Puncture. Method: This activity is divided into 4 stages, namely the stage of problem analysis, planning, implementation and evaluation. Evaluation is obtained with 2 types, namely knowing immediate impect and intermediate impact.  The target group in this activity is 34 construction workers domiciled in Jabon Village. Results: most of the targets before counseling, most had negative attitudes (n = 23 (68%)), then after counseling, most respondents had positive attitudes (n = 27 (79%)). The results of immediate impact measurements showed a positive response from the target and the results of statistical tests (Wilcoxon) to analyze intermediate impact obtained ρ value results of 0.000 with a α of 0.05. This value indicates a significant conclusion of results. Conclusion: There are benefits in extension activities as evidenced by responses and statistical test results of attitude categories before and after counseling.  Counseling is one way of providing information that can involve affective, conative and psychomotor elements, so that respondents absorb knowledge optimally.
