Abstract

The implementation of the National Education Philosophy (NEP) at each stage of learning in the Malaysian education system will be the subject of this study. The primary goal that will be stressed is the implementation of the educational philosophy at the primary, secondary, and higher education levels. The emphasis would be on the areas covered in each level of education, whether academic or co-curricular in nature. This analysis will depend on educational reports from the Malaysian Ministry of Education, as well as memoirs, books, and newspapers. Such information will be analysed, compiled, and detailed in an authoritative and insightful narrative statement. Finally, this study will demonstrate that the use of NEP in Malaysian education has been consistent since its inception and continues to this day.

Abstract

Choosing a suitable learning model in Islamic religious education is important in achieving educational goals in the 21st Century. Thus, researchers emphasize two aspects in this study. Firstly, what are the Islamic religious education learning models widely used in the teaching and learning process in the 21st Century? Secondly, what is the urgency of using Islamic Religious Education Learning Models in the 21st Century? A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted to achieve these objectives, consisting of the selection and PRISMA methodology, which involves systematic planning, identification, feasibility testing, and meta-analysis, including applicable theories of articles from the Crossref and Scopus databases that addressed specific topics (Islamic religious education, Islamic religious education learning, and Islamic religious education learning model). The findings of the analysis indicate that there are nine prevalent learning models utilized by teachers in Islamic religious education: blended learning (BL), problem-based learning (PBL), experiential learning (EL), discovery learning (DL), contextual teaching and learning (CTL), cooperative learning (CL), reflective learning, and electronic learning. This research shows that educators in Islamic religious education can explore and choose learning models appropriate to the teaching material. For example, regarding material on the history of Islamic civilization, teachers can use the discovery learning (DL) method to ensure the Islamic religious education learning process can run optimally according to students' needs.

Abstract

Diverse research findings pertaining to the proficiency of Islamic religious education teachers may serve as a starting point, if not a benchmark, for the development of such instructors' proficiency, particularly with regard to the proficiencies that are imperative for educators in the digital age. Consequently, this study aims to investigate the competencies of Islamic religious education teachers that have been mentioned most frequently in research over the past decade, as well as strategies for developing those competencies and technological (digital) competencies. To achieve this aim, this study employed a systematic literature review method by utilizing publication data spanning a decade (2013–2023) to investigate a particular theme. The preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) was utilized to evaluate the findings. This research shows findings regarding teachers' obligations to develop technological (digital) competencies, in addition to the four teacher competencies (pedagogical, professional, personal, and social). The aforementioned conditions are predicated on the necessity for collaborative, creative, and creative learning, which makes it highly sought after by students. In contrast, forthcoming investigations should strive to gather empirical data regarding approaches to cultivating digital proficiency among Islamic religious education instructors, given the prevailing inclination towards learner-centered learning in the twenty-first century as opposed to teacher-centered learning.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe individual characteristics, job characteristics, organizational climate, work motivation, and teacher performance, (2) analyze the influence of individual characteristics, job characteristics, and organizational climate on work motivation, (3) test their influence on teacher performance, (4) examine the influence of work motivation on teacher performance, and (5) explore the mediating role of work motivation in the relationship between individual characteristics, job characteristics, organizational climate, and teacher performance. This explanatory study involved teachers from SMA Maarif NU in Pasuruan in 20 districts, with a population of 485 teachers. The proportional random sampling method was used to select 110 teachers. Data were collected using a structured instrument distributed to respondents. The results showed that: (1) individual characteristics are shaped by interests, attitudes, and needs; job characteristics by skill diversity, task identity, task clarity, autonomy, and feedback; organizational climate by responsibility, identity, warmth, support, and conflict; work motivation by achievement, recognition, work rewards, and personal development; and teacher performance by professional, personal, and social competence. (2) Individual characteristics, job characteristics, and organizational climate have a positive effect on work motivation. (3) These variables also have a positive impact on teacher performance. (4) Work motivation significantly improves teacher performance. (5) Work motivation mediates the influence of individual characteristics, job characteristics, and organizational climate on teacher performance. This study concludes that work motivation plays an important role as an intervention, with the total influence of these variables on performance exceeding the direct influence

Second, what is the role of Darul Ihsan Menganti Islamic Boarding School in Gresik in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0? and Third, what are the inhibiting factors for the Darul Ihsan Menganti Gresik Islamic Boarding School in the 4.0 era? The research uses a qualitative case study approach, data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. While the data analysis from Miles and Hubarman, in the form of condensation data, display data and conclusion drawing and verification. In the process of eliminating data that is still doubtful, the panelists use triangulation of methods, sources and theories. a solid foundation in following the development of civilization, in the form of five five souls of the cottage integrated with character education, in addition, the pesantren prepares a pillar in the form of four pillars, so that both must be juxtaposed with a wall in the form of four keys in navigating life. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning model in fostering environmental care character at nature-based elementary schools and identify the challenges teachers face. The research employed a case study approach with interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection techniques. Using Robert K. Yin's framework, data analysis is performed by pattern matching, explanation building, time series analysis, and repeated observations. The findings reveal that IRE learning applies Project-Based Learning (PjBL) through stages of project design, problem identification, scheduling, research implementation, prototype development, assessment, finalization, and feedback. This model positively impacts students by increasing environmental awareness, fostering eco-friendly attitudes, strengthening social and spiritual responsibility, and reinforcing discipline and cooperation. Theoretically, this study contributes to the discourse on integrating IRE with environmental education through PjBL, while guiding teachers and schools to design IRE learning oriented toward ecological awareness. Future studies are recommended to quantitatively measure the effectiveness of PjBL, develop eco-friendly digital learning media, and conduct comparative studies across schools to identify the best implementation patterns.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the importance of character education management in shaping students' ideal personalities, especially in the digital era. This research uses library research method to analyze various literature sources related to character education management. Data sources are journals, proceedings, and books. The data collection technique focuses on in-depth search and analysis of text or literature sources. The results show that character education management requires detailed planning, efficient organization, effective implementation, and careful supervision. The implementation of character education in the digital era requires an innovative and synergistic approach between various educational components. Concrete examples of the application of character education management in the digital era include setting digital character education goals, dividing tasks and resources, implementing programs through digital technology, and monitoring and evaluating programs regularly. Thus, character education integrated with digital technology can help form a young generation with good character, faith, honesty and discipline, and be able to have a positive impact on the surrounding environment. This research emphasizes the importance of character education as an effective means of forming morally and spiritually complete individuals.
