Abstract

AbstrakIndustri manufaktur mengalami pertumbuhan pesat, sehingga produk yang dihasilkan, terutama melalui proses permesinan seperti pembubutan, harus memiliki kualitas yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh parameter pembubutan, seperti feed dan putaran spindle, terhadap kekasaran permukaan dan amplitudo getaran pada pembubutan baja AISI 1045 menggunakan pahat karbida. Pengukuran kekasaran permukaan dilakukan dengan Microscope OLS4100, sementara amplitudo getaran diukur menggunakan VibXpert II. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan Minitab Statistical Software 22. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa feed memiliki pengaruh paling signifikan terhadap kekasaran permukaan dan amplitudo getaran. Parameter pembubutan yang paling optimal untuk menghasilkan kekasaran permukaan terbaik adalah feed 0,1 mm/put (lvl 1) dan kecepatan spindle 400 rpm (lvl 4), dengan nilai kekasaran permukaan sebesar 4,757 μm. Sementara itu, parameter yang paling optimal untuk mengurangi amplitudo getaran adalah feed 0,1 mm/put (lvl 1) dan kecepatan spindle 100 rpm (lvl 1), dengan nilai amplitudo getaran sebesar 0,11 m/s.

Abstract

Vocational higher education plays an important role in providing a skilled and work-ready workforce. However, in Kendari City there is still an information gap regarding vocational higher education and career opportunities for graduates. This community service activity aims to introduce vocational higher education and disseminate information on new student admissions in 2024 in high schools in Kendari City. The methods used include presentations, discussions, and brochure distribution. The evaluation of the activity showed an increased understanding of vocational education, as well as an increased interest in pursuing it. The brochures provided were considered informative by the participants. This activity succeeded in increasing high school students' understanding and interest in vocational higher education, as well as providing clear information about the 2024 new student admissions. Results showed a 75% increase in understanding and 60% increase in interest in vocational education. As many as 90% of participants rated the brochure as very informative. It is expected that this activity will have an impact on increasing the number of applicants in vocational study programs and providing a better skilled workforce for industries in Kendari City.

Abstract

This activity aimed to introduce vocational higher education and socialize the selection of new student admissions at the Tridaya Virtu Morosi Polytechnic in 2024 to high school and vocational school students in Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. The methods used were presentations, discussions, and question and answer sessions involving resource persons from the Tridaya Virtu Morosi Polytechnic and representatives from local high schools and vocational schools. The results showed an increase in prospective students' understanding of vocational education and study opportunities at the Tridaya Virtu Morosi Polytechnic. Students' interest and enthusiasm to continue their education at the vocational level and enroll at the Tridaya Virtu Morosi Polytechnic increased after participating in this activity. This activity also helped promote the study programs offered and attract potential new students from high schools and vocational schools in Konawe Regency.
