Abstract

Filler merupakan bahan pengisi rongga yang lolos ayakan no.200, dimana bahan alternatif yang bisa digunakan adalah memanfaatkan limbah yang terbuang. Salah satu penggunaan limbah terbuang yaitu daun bambu yang merupakan limbah organik dan limbah yang memiliki kandungan silika dan zat kimia kedua setelah abu sekam padi. Lateks merupakan getah cair pohon Hevea Brasiliensis yang berwarna putih seperti susu, dan memiliki sifat koloid, Fasa terurai pada Lateks berupa molekul hidrokarbon. Penelitian ini melibatkan campuran filler abu daun bambu dengan variasi (0%, 50%, dan 100%), dan campuran aspal cair AC – WC dengan variasi Lateks (0%, 1%, 3%, 5% dan 7%) dilakukan dengan metode Marshall Test. Hasil penelitian ini memperoleh nilai kadar aspal optimum sebesar 5,4% dan filler abu daun bambu sebesar 100%. Dalam penelitian ini semakin besar penambahan persentase dari lateks, maka nilai VMA dan VIM mengalami kenaikan dan penurunan, penurunan terjadi pada persentase 5% dan 7%. Pada nilai Stabilitas dan MQ mengalamai penurunan dan kenaikan, kenaikan terjadi pada persentase 5% dan 7%. Pada nilai VFA mengalami penurunan pada persentase 1% dan mengalami kenaikan pada persentase 3%,5%, dan 7%. Pada nilai Flow mengalami kenaikan. Variasi Lateks 0%,1%,3%,5%, dan 7% dengan Filler abu daun bambu variasi 100% memenuhi spesifikasi bina marga 2025.

Abstract

Clay soil has high water content, high plasticity, and low bearing capacity, which often causes structural problems in construction projects, as observed at the research location on Jl. Siak II, Masjid Raya Province of Riau area, where structural settlement occurred due to insufficient soil bearing capacity. This study aims to improve the physical properties and bearing capacity of clay soil through stabilization using a mixture of Spent Bleaching Earth (SBE) and quicklime. Laboratory tests were performed using a mixture variation of 22.5% SBE and 25% quicklime with curing durations of 0, 4, and 7 days and a soaking period of 4 days. The laboratory program included water content, specific gravity, sieve analysis, Standard Proctor compaction, and California Bearing Ratio (CBR) tests. The untreated soil exhibited a water content of 29.45%, a specific gravity of 2.43 g/cm³, 40.44% retained on sieve No.200, and a maximum dry density of 1.57 kN/m³ at an optimum moisture content of 20.8%. The CBR value of the untreated soil increased with curing time, reaching 13.99% on the 7th day. For the stabilized soil, the highest CBR improvement was achieved by the mixture of soil + SBE + quicklime with 7 days of curing, reaching 29.36%, while the best CBR under 4-day soaking occurred in the mixture of soil + quicklime with a CBR value of 20.75%. These findings indicate that the combined use of SBE and quicklime is effective in enhancing the bearing capacity of clay soil, with optimal performance observed after 7 days of curing.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pembangunan rumah ramah lingkungan dan efisien energi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui sosialisasi dan penyuluhan kepada masyarakat dengan metode ceramah, diskusi interaktif, serta pembagian materi edukatif. Materi yang disampaikan meliputi konsep bangunan hijau, efisiensi energi, pemanfaatan pencahayaan dan ventilasi alami, serta penggunaan material bangunan ramah lingkungan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat terhadap prinsip rumah ramah lingkungan dan efisiensi energi. Peserta mulai menyadari pentingnya penghematan energi dan penerapan konsep berkelanjutan dalam pembangunan hunian. Kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi dalam mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan dan sejalan dengan kebijakan nasional di bidang perumahan dan lingkungan hidup

Abstract

This community service activities was aimed to give preventive solution due to drainage channel inundation of As-Salaam Utama street in Yepupa Utama Permai housing area, Air Dingin Village, Bukitraya District, Pekanbaru City. Thus preventing the potential area to become a source of disease and a nest of mosquito larvae and can provide residents convenience. There were 3 points of inundation problem, namely Location 1 in the conner of As-Salaam Utama street was resolved by replacing the rectangular culvert and adjusting its elevation. Location 2 was a inundation of As-Salaam IV street was also resolved as Location 1. Location 3 was in the same condition as Loacation 2, and was handled by making a new drainage channel across the road with adjusting its elevation. The results of the activities achieved at Location 1, the inundation of water during heavy rains have been handled quite well because water can flow towards the South quite smoothly. The water flow from the North of the channel can flow smoothly to the South to the outlet after handling Location 2. Location 3 was no more puddles on the road when it rains heavely after handling. The traffic during heavy rains remains smooth and reduces the potential pavement damages.
