Abstract

Noni fruit is known to have various important health benefits, but the main problem in this design is the lack of knowledge, understanding and public acceptance of noni fruit is still very low, especially among generation Z. This design adopts the design thinking method in developing media that can attract attention, increase interest, and encourage action and search for further information about noni fruit. The main objective of this design is to inform the young generation aged 18-29 years in the city of Palembang about the health benefits of noni fruit through an application as the main interactive media. The main media used is interactive media in the form of a special application to introduce the various benefits of noni fruit to the people of Palembang City. This application will be designed using an approach that is attractive and easy to understand by the younger generation, especially Gen-Z, which contains complete information about the health benefits of the fruit. noni which can be accessed or installed via a QR Code, by displaying illustrations of noni characters and displaying application features such as, kudu reminder, kudu kepo, noni content, kudu understand and there are other features which are explained in the design visualization section . In this way, it is hoped that it will help attract generation Z to try processed noni fruit in the city of Palembang.

Abstract

Stigma refers to a negative view or attitude towards the mental, physical, or social aspects of an individual or group, reflecting social disapproval. The presence of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, dan Transgender (LGBT) community with non-normative behavior or appearance often triggers stigma and negative labels, even though the individual does not behave deviantly. The main issue at issue is the assumption that women with a 'tomboy' or masculine appearance are synonymous with lesbian sexual orientation, which is not always true. This research aims to explore the impact of the formation of these views on individuals who experience stigma, as well as efforts to reduce stereotypes in Palembang City. The design method used is the design thinking method applied in various media such as pre-media, main media, and follow-up media. Data collection techniques through observation, questionnaires, interviews, literature and websites. This research will produce various media including posters, t-shirts, tote bags, mirror reflections, Instagram feeds, calendars, pins, key chains, refrigerator magnets, narrative videos and photo stories. It is hoped that the achievements and targets of this design will be able to become informative media that will change the negative stigma of the people of Palembang towards masculine women.

Abstract

Love language, basically, is the language of love in the form of actions, behavior and attitudes that make someone feel appreciated and loved. Love language has five forms, namely words of affirmation, quality time, receiving gifts, acts of service, physical touch. This campaign uses board games as the main medium for conveying information and education with interesting media. The main idea in developing this media is a folk tale from Central Java, namely Joko Kendil. This story has a message about true love, patience, and sacrifice of a husband and wife in facing trials in life. The aim of this love language campaign is to reduce the risk of disputes and maintain household harmony. The method used in this design is Design Thinking which consists of 5 stages, namely Empathize (understanding the problem), Define (analyzing data), Ideate (generating an idea or concept), Prototype (visualizing the idea), Test (testimonial to the target audience). As a result of testimonials to the target audience, positive feedback was obtained where the target audience was attracted through the colorful visual campaign media and helped in understanding their language through interesting and enjoyable verbal messages. Abstract

ABSTRAK Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dalam bentuk sosialiasi dan pelatihan pembuatan nugget ikan lele serta kerupuk tulang lele menggunakan metode Zero Waste dilakukan pada tim mitra, yaitu komunitas ibu-ibu rumah tangga berpenghasilan rendah di RT 23, Kecamatan Talang Keramat, Kabupaten Banyuasin, Sumatera Selatan. Tujuan dan manfaat dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini, adalah: 1). Memberikan pengetahuan yang menunjang kemampuan tim mitra dalam keterampilan pengolahan dan pengembangan produk berbasis Ikan Lele; 2). Untuk membantu meningkatkan perekonomian dan kesejahteraan keluarga tim mitra melalui home industry pembuatan nugget Ikan Lele dan Kerupuk Tulang Ikan Lele yang berpotensi layak jual. Metode yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini meliputi tiga tahapan, yaitu: 1). Tahap Observasi, yakni tahapan pengumpulan data meliputi kondisi wilayah, kondisi ekonomi, dan kondisi sosial dari tim mitra yang akan terlibat dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini; 2).Tahap Sosialisasi, yaitu pemberian materi oleh tim pelaksana yang dibantu oleh beberapa mahasiswa UIGM mengenai konsep Zero Waste dalam pengolahan ikan lele menjadi nugget serta pengolahan sisa limbah ikan lele menjadi kerupuk. Pada metode ini, tim pelaksana menggunakan metode door to door dan ceramah; 3). Tahap Pelatihan, yaitu uji coba pembuatan nugget ikan lele dan kerupuk tulang lele secara langsung oleh tim mitra yang dipandu oleh tim pelaksana dan narasumber. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini, adalah terjadi  peningkatan pengetahuan dan  kemampuan ibu-ibu rumah tangga di RT 23, Talang Keramat dalam mengolah ikan Lele menjadi Nugget dan Kerupuk Tulang Lele, serta kegiatan pengabdian yang telah dipublikasikan pada Media Surat Kabar Online Sumsel Terkini yang telah terbit pada tanggal 11 Maret 2020. Kata kunci: Nugget Ikan Lele, Kerupuk Tulang Lele, Konsep Zero Waste.   ABSTRACT Community service activities in the form of socialization and training on making catfish nuggets and catfish bone crackers using the zero waste method were carried out on the partner team, namely the community of low-income housewives in RT 23, Talang Keramat District, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. The objectives and benefits of this service activity are: 1). Providing knowledge that supports the ability of the partner team in processing skills and development of catfish-based products; 2). To help improve the economy and family welfare of the partner team through the home industry of making catfish nuggets and catfish bone crackers which are potentially worth selling. The method used in this service activity includes three stages, namely: 1). Observation Stage, which is the stage of data collection covering regional conditions, economic conditions, and social conditions of the partner team who will be involved in this service activity; 2) Socialization stage, namely the provision of material by the implementation team assisted by several UIGM students regarding the concept of Zero Waste in processing catfish into nuggets and processing the remaining catfish waste into crackers. In this method, the implementation team uses the door to door method and lectures; 3). The training stage, which is a trial of making catfish nuggets and catfish bone crackers directly by a partner team guided by the implementation team and resource persons. The result of this service activity is an increase in the knowledge and ability of housewives at RT 23, Talang Keramat in processing catfish into catfish nuggets and catfish bone crackers, as well as service activities that have been published in the Latest South Sumatra Online Newspaper Media that has been published on March 11, 2020. Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance vector-based graphic design skills and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for publication media among BPKPKK KAPal Community members. In the digital era, the demand for engaging visual content is increasing. However, many communities lack the necessary knowledge of graphic design to support their publications. This training uses a participatory and hands-on approach. Participants learn vector graphic principles using Adobe Illustrator and are introduced to AI technologies like generative AI and AI-assisted tools. The curriculum covers basic illustration, typography, color theory, layout design, and AI-assisted design automation. Results show significant improvement in participants' understanding and skills. They can now create professional posters, brochures, and social media content. Most participants found the training relevant and beneficial. This initiative empowers the community to independently produce quality publication materials and fosters digital literacy and creativity.

Abstract

The Video Editing Training at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang is a community service program aimed at enhancing students' skills in video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro. This training was conducted in response to the rapid development of digital technology and the increasing demand for creative industry professionals in the Industry 5.0 era. The methods applied in this training included observation, interviews, teaching, demonstrations, technology-based learning, and evaluation. The results indicate an improvement in participants' understanding and technical skills in video editing, including selecting appropriate software and implementing digital marketing strategies through video content. Additionally, participants gained entrepreneurial insights relevant to current creative industry trends. This program is expected to equip SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang graduates with competitive skills in the workforce, particularly in multimedia and digital content production. Training evaluations show that the applied learning methods effectively enhance participants' competencies. In the future, similar programs should be expanded with broader coverage and collaboration with various stakeholders to support the advancement of the creative industry ecosystem.
