Abstract

Dissemination of waste sorting and utilization activities was carried out to residents of Dayurejo Village, precisely Gamoh Hamlet, Prigen District, Pasuruan Regency from January to March 2022. The purpose of this activity is to increase knowledge and skills regarding the sorting and utilization of household waste as a more useful product. The method of activity carried out is by conducting socialization counseling and providing examples of the use of plastic waste into hanging gardens. From this activity, it can be seen that the enthusiasm of the participants to acquire skills and abilities regarding the use of household waste. Likewise, the youths were very enthusiastic in participating in the socialization and counseling activities on household waste management. The stimulus to utilize the existing waste was responded well by the participants, thus giving hope for efforts to improve the quality of waste processing and reduce the negative impact of household waste and can produce more beneficial outcomes from household waste that is produced every day.

Abstract

Air pollution is a condition caused by exhaust gas from motor vehicles operating on the highway. To minimize greater air pollution, the government is making preventive efforts by carrying out regular vehicle emission tests which are currently being carried out targeting transport vehicles. This is triggered by the increasing development of the automotive industry so that every year manufacturers produce these vehicles to meet the vehicle market, especially transport vehicle. With the increase in the number of vehicles every year, this is one of the causes of air pollution, so it needs to be controlled. This research aims to determine the effect of vehicle exhaust emissions on the year of vehicle production, in diesel fueled vehicles. The method used is an experiment using two-way Anova analysis on the results of tests carried out on Mitsubhisi L 300 vehicles with a total of 30 test samples, by testing vehicles produced in 2017 - 2022. The results of the research show that older vehicles will produce gas emissions. tall one. This is in accordance with the results of the ANOVA test which accepts the statement that there is at least one vehicle age that has a significant effect on smoke concentration, so it can be concluded that vehicles with an old age, in this case 2017, have the potential to produce high emission gases, therefore preventive efforts need to be taken. to vehicle engines

Abstract

The chassis is an important component car which functions to support the load on the vehicle and has a strong construction. The chassis, as the main support for all vehicle componentsy. Increased fuel use and rising global crude oil prices have encouraged research into energy saving cars with special designs that can reduce fuel consumption and pollutant emissions. The design process with variations in rollbar shape and variations in cross sectional shape with 6061 aluminum material using Autodesk Inventor 2024 software. After the design process is complete, stress analysis test stage is carried out to obtain analysis data, namely von misses stress, strain, displacement, safety factor. The results of the chassis design using concept B with a pipe cross-sectional shape and rollbar fillet model are more recommended, because it has better von Mises stress value and a better safety factor, besides that the concept B chassis design is easier in the assembly process with prototype type energy efficient car body.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dugunakan untuk mengetahui Head Loss aliran yang terjadi pada pipa Sudden Contraction dengan perbandingan spesimen 1, 2, dan 3 pada diameter tabung akrilik 0,2D, 0,4D, dan 0,6D. Dengan mengetahui Head Loss yang terdapat pada tiga pipa akrilik tersebut, maka akan diketahui nilai rugi tekanan yang terjadi. Dalam Penelitian ini digunakan debit 0,0005m3/s, yang mengalir pada saluran. Tekanan yang terjadi pada sisi masuk (D1) dan sisi keluar pipa (D2) Sudden Contraction akan diukur oleh manometer U. Head Loss dihitung dari perbedaan tekanan yang terjadi pada masing-masing aliran disetiap aspek rasio. Dari hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa semakin besar aspek rasio , maka senakin kecil Head Loss yang terjadi, yaitu pada aspek rasio 0,2D sebesar 0,0043 meter, aspek rasio 0,4D sebesar 0,0014 meter, aspek rasio 0,6D sebesar 0,0003 meter .

Abstract

The use of energy in Indonesia currently has a growing need for energy, this will have an impact on the condition of the energy crisis, dependence on fossil fuels has a very serious threat, therefore there must be alternative energy as a substitute or as a saver of fuel reserves. Currently available fossils such as wind energy, water energy, and solar energy are very abundant in Indonesia. This study aims to develop wind power plants as a source of alternative energy to produce electrical energy, namely wind turbines. A wind turbine is a tool that functions to convert wind power into mechanical power in the form of a shaft rotation, then this shaft rotation is utilized for power generation. This tool is used to meet energy needs and is also used for alternative energy as an effort to save and reduce dependence on fossil energy. In this problem, the author will develop a tool for the influence of the wing tip of the rotor blade on the performance of the wind turbine. The purpose of this research is to calculate how much influence the wing tip has on the performance of the wind turbine on the electric current produced by the wind turbine. By adding variations to the wing tip using NACA 0021. The data obtained in this study are current (A), voltage (V), turbine power (watts), from the results of the research data it was found that the performance of the wind turbine using NACA0021 was the most optimal using a wing tip. at an angle of 15〗^0 in layer 2 with a voltage value of 12.5 (V), current 2(A), turbine power of 25.35 (watts), and efficiency of 0.844.

Abstract

General Background: With the rapid advancement of automotive technology, especially motorbikes, fuel performance has become increasingly crucial in optimizing vehicle efficiency and meeting the demands of rising motorbike usage. Specific Background: Among commonly used fuels like BX 92 and BX Ultimaxx, the performance of different fuel types and combinations on power, torque, and specific fuel consumption (SFC) remains underexplored. Knowledge Gap: While various fuels are utilized, a detailed comparative analysis of motorbike performance using different fuels and blends, including ethanol mixes, is limited, particularly in the context of octane levels and engine power. Aims: This study aims to analyze motorbike performance differences when using BX 92, BX Ultimaxx, a 50:50 blend of BX 92 and BX Ultimaxx, and an 85:15 blend of BX 92 and ethanol, assessing power, torque, and SFC on an R15 motorbike using dynotest equipment. Results: The study found that higher octane levels yield improved power and torque, with BX Ultimaxx performing best in terms of power but consuming more fuel. BX 92 proved most efficient in fuel consumption but ranked lower in performance compared to BX Ultimaxx. The BX 92-BX Ultimaxx blend showed moderate improvements in power over BX 92 alone, while the BX 92-ethanol blend exhibited the lowest performance of all fuels tested. Novelty: This study provides a novel comparative framework for evaluating mixed fuel impacts on motorbike performance, particularly in utilizing ethanol as an alternative fuel component. Implications: These findings suggest that while higher-octane fuels enhance performance, fuel blending strategies could be optimized for specific outcomes, balancing efficiency with performance, thereby contributing to more sustainable fuel use in the automotive industry.

Abstract

General Background: With the increase in motorcycle usage worldwide, optimizing engine performance through fuel selection has become a focus, as fuel type significantly impacts torque, power, and specific fuel consumption. Specific Background: Public motorcycle transportation options include various fuel types, such as suxxx and v-poxxx, as well as blends with ethanol, which are commonly used for enhanced engine efficiency. Knowledge Gap: There is limited research directly comparing the performance impacts of suxxx, v-poxxx, and their mixtures, especially with ethanol, on motorcycles over a range of RPMs. Aims: This study aims to evaluate the differences in motorbike performance using pure suxxx, v-poxxx, a 50-50 blend of suxxx and v-poxxx, and an 85-15 blend of suxxx and ethanol by examining torque, power, and specific fuel consumption (SFC) on an R15 motorbike through dynotest trials. Results: Findings indicate that v-poxxx, with its higher octane level, provides superior torque, power, and SFC compared to suxxx and mixed fuels, especially at low and high RPMs. Meanwhile, the 85% suxxx and 15% ethanol blend achieves the best SFC but has slightly lower torque and power at specific RPMs compared to v-poxxx. Novelty: This study provides comparative insights into the effectiveness of mixed ethanol fuels in motorcycles, identifying performance variances across a range of RPMs, which is less explored in the context of motorcycle engines. Implications: The results suggest that high-octane fuels enhance engine performance, while ethanol mixtures could serve as efficient alternatives for fuel savings. These insights are valuable for consumers and manufacturers aiming to optimize fuel usage for different riding conditions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis performa mesin circular saw yang dapat beroperasi pada sudut 45-90 derajat dalam industri kayu, menggunakan kayu sengon, meranti, dan jati. Parameter yang diuji meliputi kecepatan pemotongan, akurasi potongan, dan keandalan operasional, menggunakan Surface Roughness Tester dan Digital Angle Ruler. Hasil menunjukkan kayu sengon dan meranti mencapai kehalusan terbaik pada sudut 65 derajat, sementara jati menunjukkan kehalusan konsisten. Keakuratan sudut potong sangat baik pada semua sudut yang diuji. Desain dan kualitas mata gergaji serta kalibrasi mesin mempengaruhi presisi dan kehalusan potongan. Rekomendasi mencakup pemilihan mesin dengan kemampuan sudut potong variabel, kalibrasi dan perawatan rutin, serta pemahaman sifat material kayu untuk menentukan sudut potong dan jenis mata gergaji optimal. Temuan ini membantu industri kayu meningkatkan produktivitas dan kualitas produk.

Abstract

Pengungkapan manajemen risiko merupakan suatu informasi mengenai pengelolaan risiko perusahaan danmenyampaikan dampak perusahaan yang akan mendatang. Maka adanya pengungkapan manajemen risiko untukmembantu perusahaan memberikan informasi terhadap pihak eksternal pada perusahaan mengenai risiko perusahaan.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif jenis data sekunder dengan menggunakan IBM SPSS 26 untukmelakukan pengujian hipotesis penelitian. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini sebanyak 64 data perusahaandari 68 perusahaan dengan menggunaka purposive sampling pada Perusahaan sektor basic materials yang terdaftar diindeks saham syariah indonesia (ISSI) tahun 2022. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis statistic deskriptif dan regresilinier berganda. Penelitian ini juga ingin mengetahui pengaruh kepemilikan publik, leverage, ukuran perusahaanterhadap pengungkapan manajemen risiko pada sektor basic materials yang terdaftar di indeks saham syariahindonesia (ISSI) tahun 2022. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepemilikan publik, leverage, ukuranperusahaan berpengaruh terhadap pengungkapan manajemen risiko. Selain itu secara parsial leverage tidakberpengaruh terhadap pengungkapan manajemen risiko, sedangkan kepemilikan publik, ukuran perusahaan secaraparsial berpengaruh terhadap pengungkapan manajemen risiko. Bedasarkan hasil penelitian ini dari ketiga variabeltersebut dapat digunakan secara bersamaan, kepemilikan publik, leverage,ukuran perusahaan memiliki pengaruh yangsignifikan terhadap pengungkapan manajemen risiko perusahaan. Penelitian ini tidak mencakup semua variabel karenamungkin ada variabel lain yang dapat mempengaruhi variabel penelitian. Kata Kunci-pengungkapan manajemen risiko, kepemilikan publik, leverage, ukuran perusahaan
