Abstract

This study aims to identify whether the role of a leader enhances employee performance at the Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru. This research employs a qualitative method, aiming to unveil occurrences and facts that unfold during the research process and reflect the actual reality. The sampling technique employed is saturated sampling, with a total of 24 employees at the Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru as the sample size. From the data collected at the Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru, the researcher identifies the phenomenon that the role of a leader is highly essential in improving employee performance. A leader who can provide support, guidance, and effective direction to employees will positively impact their performance. Research observations indicate that the presence of a leader in the workplace enhances employee productivity, whereas the absence of a leader leads to suboptimal work and often results in delaying task completion until the last minute. The current performance assessment is still subjective and is not yet capable of accurately measuring what should be measured. As a result, the monthly performance assessment tends to be consistently positive, even though employee behavior and performance still require improvement. Interview results demonstrate that employees expect a leader to work longer hours than other employees and possess strong communication skills, ensuring that assigned tasks are explained clearly. In conclusion, the role of a leader, such as providing support, guidance, and effective communication, significantly contributes to enhancing employee performance. However, the subjective nature of performance assessment requires improvement to more accurately reflect the quality of employees' work.

Abstract

Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes) merupakan inisiatif strategis pemerintah Indonesia dalam mendorong kemandirian ekonomi desa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun dan menerapkan Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) di BUMDes Maju Bersama di Desa Sawah, Kecamatan Kampar, Kabupaten Kampar, Provinsi Riau. Melalui pendekatan partisipatif, kegiatan pengabdian ini melibatkan pengelola BUMDes, kepala desa, dan masyarakat setempat dalam proses identifikasi kebutuhan, penyusunan SOP, serta implementasi dan evaluasi. Hasil dari pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan SOP signifikan meningkatkan efisiensi operasional hingga 30%, pendapatan BUMDes meningkat sebesar 25%, dan tingkat kepuasan stakeholder mencapai 85%. Partisipasi aktif masyarakat dan pengelola dalam penyusunan SOP menciptakan rasa memiliki yang lebih kuat terhadap BUMDes, mendorong partisipasi dalam program-program yang ditawarkan. Dengan diversifikasi usaha yang sesuai dengan potensi lokal, BUMDes dapat mengurangi ketergantungan pada sektor usaha yang ada dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi inspirasi bagi desa lain untuk menerapkan praktik serupa demi mencapai Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Kata Kunci: BUMDes, Standar Operasional Prosedur, Kemandirian Ekonomi, Diversifikasi Usaha, Partisipasi Masyarakat.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of organizational culture on employee engagement among Secretariat employees of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) in regencies and cities across Riau Province. The research is expected to provide both theoretical contributions to the development of management science particularly in the areas of organizational behavior and human resource management and practical benefits for improving employee engagement in public institutions. The population of the study consists of 589 employees, from which a sample of 239 respondents was determined using the Slovin formula. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results indicate that organizational culture has a positive and significant influence on employee engagement. These findings highlight the strategic importance of fostering a strong organizational culture to enhance employee attachment, commitment, and involvement in the public sector context. Abstract

The research was conducted at the Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Siak with the aim of examining the role of job crafting in mediating the effect of human resource management practices on organizational commitment. The research population consisted of 177 individuals. Based on this population size, according to the Krejcie and Morgan table (1970), the sample size for this study was determined to be 123 individuals. The sampling method used in this study was Systematic Random Sampling. All respondents were utilized to obtain primary data related to the variables, which were collected through a questionnaire using a 5-point Likert scale. All data obtained were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the analytical tool Smart PLS 3.0. The study found that human resource management practices have a significant positive effect on organizational commitment; human resource management practices have a significant positive effect on job crafting; job crafting has a significant positive effect on organizational commitment; and job crafting mediates the effect of human resource management practices on organizational commitment.

Abstract

The study was conducted in all junior high schools in Singingi sub-district with the aim of organizational political perception in moderating the influence of organizational culture on teacher performance. The population of this study was 120 people. Based on this population size, according to the Krejcie and Morgan (1970) table, the sample size for this study was 92 people. The sampling method used in this study was Systematic Random Sampling. All respondents will be used to obtain primary data related to the variables, which will be collected through a questionnaire with a Likert scale of 1-5 points. All data obtained will be analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Smart PLS 3.0 analysis tool. This study found that organizational culture is positively related to teacher performance; organizational politics moderates the relationship between organizational culture and teacher performance. this shows that the level of influence of organizational culture on teacher performance can change depending on the political dynamics in the organization

Abstract

Strengthening the role of village officials in the development and supervision of village-owned enterprises (BUMDes) is a crucial aspect in realizing transparent, accountable, and sustainable village economic management. However, in practice, this function is often carried out administratively and is not supported by adequate institutional evaluation instruments. This community service activity aims to enhance the capacity of the village apparatus of Sawah Village, Kampar Utara Sub-district, in performing their institutional development and oversight functions for the BUMDes “Maju Bersama Sawah” through a participatory training approach and the development of institutional monitoring instruments. The method used is a collaborative participatory approach based on the principles of Participatory Learning and Action (PLA), with activity stages including problem identification, training, workshop on instrument development, and participatory evaluation. The results of the activity show an increase in the village apparatus' understanding of their strategic role, as well as the development of institutional evaluation documents that can be used to strengthen accountability and coordination among stakeholders. The conclusion of this activity affirms that a participatory training approach is effective in building awareness and evaluative skills among village officials. Therefore, replication of this model is recommended as a strategy for empowering village economic institutions in the long term

Abstract

Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas pengurus BUMDes Maju Bersama di Desa Sawah, Kecamatan Kampar Utara, Kabupaten Kampar, Riau, dalam pengelolaan sumber daya manusia (SDM) berbasis kinerja dan tanggung jawab. Meskipun telah berjalan selama beberapa tahun, BUMDes ini belum memberikan kontribusi optimal terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat desa. Permasalahan utama terletak pada kelemahan kelembagaan dan tidak adanya sistem manajemen SDM yang memadai. Kegiatan ini menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan metode pelatihan interaktif dan praktik langsung selama satu hari. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta mengenai struktur organisasi, pembagian tugas, penyusunan job description, dan sistem evaluasi kinerja. Selain itu, pengurus menunjukkan peningkatan komitmen dalam menjalankan peran mereka secara lebih bertanggung jawab. Kegiatan ini juga menghasilkan dokumen kelembagaan yang dapat langsung digunakan sebagai acuan operasional BUMDes. Pendampingan berbasis partisipatif terbukti efektif dalam mendorong perubahan kapasitas SDM di tingkat desa. Program ini direkomendasikan untuk direplikasi di desa lain sebagai bagian dari penguatan ekonomi berbasis kelembagaan. Kata kunci: BUMDes, penguatan kapasitas, SDM, evaluasi kinerja, pendampingan partisipatif.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational support and organizational culture on lecturer performance, with organizational commitment as a mediating variable. The research design used a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey method. The study population included all certified permanent lecturers in economics study programs at private universities in Riau Province, with a sample of 150 lecturers selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was a five-point Likert scale questionnaire that was tested for validity and reliability before use. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS. The results showed that organizational culture had a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, and organizational commitment has a substantial impact on lecturer performance. In addition, organizational culture had an indirect effect on performance through organizational commitment. Conversely, organizational support was not proven to have a significant impact on either lecturer commitment or performance. This study found that cultural factors have a more dominant role than administrative support in driving performance. Practically, the implications of this study suggest that higher education leaders should prioritize strengthening an academic culture that fosters lecturer loyalty and engagement, thereby enabling continuous improvement in the performance of the tridharma.

Abstract

Tujuan – Studi ini dimaksudkan untuk mengkaji sejauh mana sertifikasi guru dan budaya sekolah berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan kerja maupun kinerja guru di SMAN 1 Kampar, dengan penekanan pada kontribusi faktor individu (sertifikasi) serta faktor lingkungan (budaya sekolah) dalam upaya peningkatan kualitas dan performa guru. Kebaruan – Keunikan penelitian ini terletak pada penggunaan kepuasan kerja sebagai variabel mediasi dalam menguji keterkaitan antarvariabel. Selain itu, studi ini difokuskan di SMAN 1 Kampar dengan melibatkan seluruh tenaga pendidik aktif, sehingga mampu menghadirkan gambaran empiris yang lebih mendalam dibandingkan penelitian sebelumnya yang cenderung bersifat umum tanpa menitikberatkan pada konteks sekolah tertentu. Metode – Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan memanfaatkan data primer yang dikumpulkan melalui teknik total sampling terhadap 64 orang guru. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan perangkat lunak SmartPLS versi 4.0. Temuan – Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sertifikasi guru dan budaya sekolah berpengaruh positif terhadap kepuasan kerja. Kepuasan kerja terbukti berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru, di mana sertifikasi guru memengaruhi kinerja secara langsung, sedangkan budaya sekolah memengaruhi kinerja secara tidak langsung melalui kepuasan kerja. Keterbatasan dan Implikasi – Penelitian terbatas pada satu sekolah, sehingga hasilnya belum dapat digeneralisasi secara luas. Temuan ini dapat menjadi dasar bagi praktisi pendidikan dan pembuat kebijakan untuk merancang strategi peningkatan mutu guru melalui pelaksanaan sertifikasi yang lebih efektif dan penguatan budaya sekolah yang kondusif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, motivasi kerja, dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja guru di SD Kecamatan Salo Kabupaten Kampar baik secara parsial maupun secara simultan. Permasalahan utama yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini adalah masih ditemukannya variasi kepuasan kerja guru yang diduga dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal maupun eksternal organisasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Data dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 60 guru. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi linear berganda, dengan pengujian asumsi klasik, uji t, uji F, serta koefisien determinasi (R²), pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan alpha 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja guru; (2) motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja guru, serta menjadi variabel dengan pengaruh dominan; (3) lingkungan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja guru; dan (4) secara simultan, kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, motivasi kerja, dan lingkungan kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja guru. Nilai Adjusted R² sebesar 0,587 mengindikasikan bahwa ketiga variabel independen mampu menjelaskan 58,7% variasi kepuasan kerja guru, sedangkan sisanya 41,3% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar penelitian Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa peningkatan kepuasan kerja guru dapat diwujudkan melalui kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang efektif, pemberian motivasi yang memadai, serta penciptaan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi masukan bagi kepala sekolah dan pemangku kebijakan pendidikan dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas kerja guru.
