Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of medical record completeness and frequency of health counseling on patient adherence to treatment. This quantitative research used a bivariate analysis approach to examine the relationship between two independent variables, namely medical record completeness and frequency of health counseling, with one dependent variable, patient adherence. The study sample consisted of 150 patients receiving treatment at a hospital in Padang City. The results show a significant effect of both medical record completeness and frequency of health counseling on patient adherence levels. Patients with complete medical records and those who received more frequent counseling showed higher adherence to the treatment regimen. This study provides valuable insights into the importance of medical record completeness and health counseling as key factors influencing patient adherence to treatment. These findings can serve as a basis for improving the quality of healthcare services in hospitals by addressing factors that influence patient adherence.Keywords: Medical Record Completeness, Health Counseling Frequency, Patient Adherence, Treatment, Hospital

Abstract

Chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease pose global health challenges that require serious attention, as they not only affect quality of life but also impose significant economic burdens on healthcare systems. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the utilization of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and the level of patient knowledge about chronic diseases. Using a cross-sectional quantitative research design, data were collected from 286 patients in Padang City who suffer from chronic diseases and have used EMR in healthcare facilities. The results of the study show that the majority of respondents had high levels of EMR utilization (47%) and good levels of knowledge (52.1%). Pearson correlation testing revealed a significant positive relationship (r = 0.458; p < 0.001) between EMR utilization and patient knowledge levels. These findings suggest that the utilization of EMR can enhance patient understanding of their health conditions, which impacts adherence to treatment and chronic disease management. Therefore, EMR can be an effective tool in supporting technology-based health education. This study is expected to contribute to the development of more effective technology-based health promotion strategies and optimize the utilization of EMR to improve patient knowledge about chronic diseases. Keywords: Electronic Medical Records, Knowledge, Chronic Diseases, Technology

Abstract

Indonesia, the country with the largest Muslim population and a strong Islamic influence, is a democratic nation where there is a demand for Sharia-compliant healthcare services. Hospitals adhering to these principles are known as Sharia hospitals. This study aims to analyze healthcare services provided by Sharia hospitals. This research employed a Systematic Review method using the PRISMA approach, collecting 301 articles from four major databases: PubMed, Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, and Springer Link. After screening, 51 duplicate articles were removed, and 204 articles were eliminated for not meeting the selection criteria. At the eligibility stage, 40 articles were deemed irrelevant, leaving six articles for analysis. In Indonesia, Sharia hospitals operate according to DSN-MUI Fatwa No. 107/DSN-MUI/X/2016, which outlines operational guidelines, including service provisions, the use of halal products, and Sharia-compliant financial management. Healthcare services must align with both medical and Sharia standards, emphasizing humanity, transparency, and fairness. Hospitals must provide not only medical care but also spiritual consultations and guidance for worship. Medications and products must be halal-certified, except in emergencies where informed consent is required. Financial management must comply with Sharia principles, avoiding riba (usury). Compared to Malaysia, where Sharia principles are also emphasized, Indonesia has stricter regulations and standards for Sharia implementation in hospitals. Sharia hospitals in Indonesia integrate Sharia principles comprehensively, ensuring fair and transparent medical services, the use of certified halal products, and Sharia-compliant financial management, which is in line with DSN-MUI Fatwas and patient spiritual needs.

Abstract

Kesehatan mental siswa di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) merupakan isu penting yang perlu mendapat perhatian, terutama terkait dengan stres yang mereka alami akibat tekanan akademik dan sosial. Penelitian dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi cara-cara yang efektif dalam mensosialisasikan pengelolaan stres kepada siswa SMA guna meningkatkan kesehatan mental mereka. Program ini melibatkan kepala sekolah, guru Bimbingan Konseling (BK), dan siswa dalam implementasi teknik-teknik pengelolaan stres yang meliputi relaksasi, pernapasan dalam, serta manajemen waktu yang baik. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang mengikuti program ini merasa lebih mampu mengelola stres, dengan tingkat kecemasan yang menurun secara signifikan. Program ini juga mendapatkan dukungan yang baik dari pihak sekolah yang berkomitmen untuk mengintegrasikan pengelolaan stres dalam kegiatan sekolah. Melalui pendekatan ini, diharapkan siswa tidak hanya mengurangi stres tetapi juga meningkatkan kesehatan mental mereka secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Rekam medis merupakan berkas yang berisikan catatan dan dokumen yang berisi identitas pasien, serta salah satu bukti tertulis tentang proses pelayanan yang berisi data klinis pasien selama proses diagnosis serta pengobatan. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk mengetahui sosialisasi identifikasi rekam medis elektronik di RSUD Sawahlunto. Jenis Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif cross sectional pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini berjumlah 120 rekam medis. Berdasarkan hasil pengabdian masyarakat didapatkan kelengkapan berkas rekam medis dikarenakan diperlukannya identifikasi dari rekam medis. Diharapkan kepada unit untuk dapat melakukan selalu monitoring dan evaluasi setiap kegiatan yang dilakukan direkam medis RSUD Sawahlunto agar dapat berjalan baik dan lengkap.

Abstract

Pemberian kode diagnosis adalah proses penetapan kode menggunakan huruf, angka, atau kombinasinya yang mewakili komponen data medis. Ketepatan pengodean menjadi hal penting dalam menunjang mutu data rekam medis, kelancaran klaim, dan laporan rumah sakit. Salah satu permasalahan yang ditemukan di Bangsal Kebidanan Rumah Sakit Islam Ibnu Sina Padang adalah ketidaktepatan kode diagnosis penyakit pada 5 (50%) rekam medis, yang berpotensi menimbulkan pending klaim. Lokasi pengabmas adalah RSI Ibnu Sina Padang pada  pada 12 s/d 14 Juni 2025, ditemukan bahwa 26 (47,3%) kode diagnosis tepat dan 29 (52,7%) tidak tepat, 28 (50,9%) penulisan diagnosis lengkap dan 27 (49,1%) tidak lengkap, 43 (78,2%) diagnosis jelas dan 12 (21,8%) tidak jelas. ketidaktepatan pengodean disebabkan ketidaklengkapan dan ketidakjelasan diagnosis yang tidak sesuai ICD-10. Oleh sebab itu sosialisasi ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan ketelitian dan keterampilan dalam proses koding.

Abstract

Admission services represent the initial point of contact between patients and healthcare facilities and play a crucial role in shaping patients’ perceptions of healthcare service quality. This study aimed to analyze patient satisfaction with admission services at Puskesmas Tanjung Bingkung, Solok Regency, during September 2025. The study employed a descriptive quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The research population consisted of 1,723 outpatient visits, with a sample of 95 respondents determined using the Slovin formula and selected through accidental sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire based on the five Servqual dimensions, measured on a Likert scale ranging from 1 to 5. The results indicated varying levels of patient satisfaction across dimensions: Tangible (74%, satisfied), Reliability (68%, satisfied), Responsiveness (55%, moderately satisfied), Assurance (82%, satisfied), and Empathy (79%, satisfied). The study concluded that while staff competence and professionalism (Assurance) demonstrated the highest satisfaction level, service speed (Responsiveness) remains a critical issue due to high patient volume. Therefore, the implementation of a digital queue management system is recommended to enhance the efficiency of admission services at Puskesmas.Keywords: patient satisfaction, admission services, Servqual, Puskesmas

Abstract

Manual material handling is still commonly performed by porters (kuli panggul) and may lead to muscle fatigue, particularly during lifting and carrying activities involving heavy loads and prolonged working hours. Muscle fatigue is characterized by decreased muscle strength, slowed movement, and muscle pain or tremors. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between age and working duration and hand muscle fatigue among rice porters in Kenagarian Campago, V Koto Kampung Dalam District, Padang Pariaman Regency, in 2025. This study used an observational design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population consisted of 40 rice porters. Data were collected from January to July 2025 through interviews and hand muscle strength measurements and analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed that 85.0% of workers were in the high-risk age group, 80.0% had long working durations, and 87.5% experienced high levels of hand muscle fatigue. There was a significant relationship between age (p = 0.018) and working duration (p = 0.046) with hand muscle fatigue. Promotive and preventive efforts, including occupational health education and ergonomic work procedures, are essential to reduce the risk of hand muscle fatigue.Keywords : manual material handling, hand muscle fatigue, porter, age, working duration
