Abstract

Background: Bengkulu Province is one of the provinces in Indonesia that has the greatest incidence of early marriages. It is well knowledge that women in this province are more likely to be victims of crimes such as domestic violence, problems during pregnancy, and even death during childbirth. It is possible for moms who enter into early marriages to develop psychiatric illnesses, which can not only be a forerunner to a variety of health impacts in later life but also have the potential to have a detrimental impact on their children and families. Objective: This study seeks to examine the factors related to psychological issues in early marriage in Bengkulu Province. Method: For this investigation, a case-control study design is utilized, and the groups are separated according to geography. The group under consideration is a rural region with a greater rate of marriages occurring at a younger age. The control group, on the other hand, is urban. One hundred and thirty-seven mothers who had been married off at a young age made up the study's target sample. Each of the groups had 137 responses, ensuring that the ratio was one to one. The research instrument that was utilized in this study was a questionnaire, and the application Stata 14 was utilized for both univariate test analysis and logistic regression. Results: The husband's perspective (OR: 6.5; 95% CI: 2.1–13.2; P-value: less than 0.001) and societal stigma (OR: 6.4; 95% CI: 1.1–13.4; P-value: less than 0.001) were significant factors associated with elevated stress levels, correlating with the highest scores. The control group comprised quality of life (OR: 6.7; 95% CI: 2.1-11.9; P-value: 0.001) and family support (OR: 6.2; 95% CI: 2.1-11.4; P-value: less than 0.001). In the depressed symptoms component, the variables that exhibited a significant conclusive association with the highest score were the spouse's perception (OR 6.4; 95% CI: 2.1-11.7; P-value: less than 0.001) and quality of life (OR: 6.2; 95% CI: 1.6-13.1; P-value: less than 0.001). The control group exhibited poor health literacy (OR: 4.3; 95% CI: 1.3-7.7; P-value: 0.0033) and inadequate family support (OR: 4.1; 95% CI: 2.1-7.5; P-value: less than 0.001). Conclusion: As a conclusion, the findings of this study highlight the critical importance of implementing comprehensive strategies to address the issue of child marriage and the mental health repercussions that it can have. In order to effectively address the complex interaction of socioeconomic, cultural, and psychological variables that contribute to early marriage, these approaches need to prioritize prevention, intervention, and support services.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Especially in older individuals, perspective can serve as the basis for health behavior. This perspective measures the extent to which tuberculosis patients adhere to the treatment process based on pre-established guidelines. The presence of a negative patient attitude directly correlates with an increased likelihood of non-adherence to therapy, thereby giving birth to additional complications, such as medication resistance. Investigation of the variables influencing the viewpoint of older individuals with Tuberculosis in Bengkulu City. The research utilised a cross-sectional methodology and included a total of 153 participants in Bengkulu City. The sample selection method utilises a multistage random sampling methodology applied during a research period of one month. The data analysis procedure utilizes both univariate and logistic regression estimation techniques. The findings indicated that almost 50% of the participants were male, nearly 50% had completed primary education, nearly 50% were employed as farmers, nearly 50% were divorced, over 50% earned the Regional Minimum Wage, nearly 50% had limited knowledge, and nearly 50% had a negative outlook. Moreover, the findings indicated a correlation between gender, secondary education, agricultural occupation, marital status, income, and knowledge as perceived by senior individuals with tuberculosis in the Bengkulu City Region, with a statistically significant p-value of less than 0.05. The results suggest a correlation between the viewpoint of the respondent and the elements inherent to him. Hence, in order to shift the respondent's viewpoint towards a favorable one and enhance the patient's own treatment process, it is imperative to have active support from all stakeholders, including the family, the community, and the medical team. The adoption of a positive attitude by patients can foster motivation to comply with the treatment suggestions provided by the doctor, thereby potentially resulting in a reduction in the occurrence of tuberculosis. Improved health of the community can ensue as a consequence. Keywords: Perspective of Older People with Tuberculosis, Gender, Socio-Economics. Abstract

Background: Indonesia is one of the countries that faces a double nutritional problem (double burden). Nutritional problems are an indicator that leads to non-communicable diseases that begin with obesity, especially at a young age. The problem of obesity among teenagers has increased quite significantly with prevalence findings reaching 34%. In other words, teenagers are a group of people who are at risk of developing diseases such as high blood pressure, heart attacks, and so on. Another problem that must be faced is the limited number of health workers. To overcome this, the government created a small doctor program to deal with health problems in schools.Purpose: To utilize a demonstration model involving pediatricians to increase knowledge in basic life support (BT) and cardiac life support (CLS).Method: Experimental study to analyze the effects of each treatment using two experimental concepts, namely small doctors in public and private high schools. Participants were divided into two groups, namely pre and post-test. This study took participants from high school students who had duties as junior doctors in high school and did not have skills in BT&CLS practice. The total number of schools taken was 60 schools, consisting of 30 private and 30 state high schools. Results: The demonstration model was more effective in small private school doctors. This means that this concept can be easily applied in private schools. The 95% Confidence Interval (CI) for public high schools is -12.3 to 2.24 and for private high schools is -15.64 to 2.77.Conclusion: Little doctors in private schools are more skilled than little doctors in public schools. However, overall using demonstration techniques in minor doctor training can increase students' BT&BLS knowledge.Suggestion: Public schools should provide more training to minor doctors to increase the life expectancy of patients in schools. This can help and save the patient's life. Keywords: Basic Life Support (BT); Cardiac Life Support (CLS); Little Doctor; Workshop. Kata kunci: Basic Life Support (BT); Cardiac Life Support (CLS); Dokter Kecil; Workshop.

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the chronic cardiovascular diseases that is a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Anxiety is a psychological factor that can influence hypertension. If this condition persists without proper management, it may affect the quality of life of the elderly (Hasniati et al., 2022). Five-finger hypnosis therapy is a relaxation technique in which individuals create pleasant imagery, concentrate on it, and gradually release their attention from anxiety.
