Abstract

Preeclampsia is a specific syndrome of pregnancy with decreased organ perfusion that results in vascular vasospasm and endothelial activation, which is one of the leading causes of death in mothers. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the incidence of preeclampsia at Rupit Hospital in 2022. The method used was a descriptive research design with a cross-sectional approach. The number of respondents was 86. This study used the Chi-Square test.The results of univariate analysis obtained in the form of almost all of the respondents did not experience preeclampsia as many as 66 respondents (76.6%), almost half of the respondents had secondary education as many as 38 respondents (44.2%), most of the respondents had an average income of UMRsebanyak as many as 60 respondents (69.8%), and most of the respondents had good knowledge as many as 53 respondents (61.6%). While the bivariate results showed that there was a relationship between education and preeclampsia (p-value: 0.009), average income with preeclampsia (p-value: 0.013), and knowledge with preeclampsia (p-value: 0.004), Patients are expected to increase their knowledge and education so that they have the possibility of increasing their income, which can help prevent preeclampsia.

Abstract

Introduction : The eco print activity organized by students from the Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas Dehasen Bengkulu, in Sumber Sari Village, Kabawetan District, Kepahiang Regency, aims to empower local mothers through training in handmade crafts using organic plants. This activity is part of the Community Service Program (KKN) and is expected to increase knowledge of environmental health and the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Objective : The objective of this activity is to train the village's mothers in creating eco print crafts, enhance their creativity, and introduce the utilization of natural resources and the management of SMEs with a focus on digital marketing. Method : The training was held on January 27, 2025, at Posko 1 Dusun 3, Sumber Sari Village, using a demonstration method. Participants were provided with canvas bags and plant materials to create eco print designs, which were then soaked in alum water to enhance the results. Results and Discussion : The results of the activity showed an increase in local mothers' knowledge in several key areas. First, they gained a better understanding of managing SMEs with digital marketing as a means of promoting eco print products. Second, the mothers appreciated eco print as a form of therapeutic activity and relaxation, helping to reduce stress. Third, they gained a deeper understanding of utilizing natural resources as raw materials for eco print crafts. Finally, their skills and creativity in making eco print crafts improved, opening opportunities for the development of locally-based creative SMEs in Sumber Sari Village.

Abstract

Kidney disease is one of the significant health problems in Indonesia. According to data from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, the prevalence of acute kidney disease (PGA) in Indonesia reaches 15% of the adult population, with numbers increasing every year (Kemenkes RI, 2020). Umber Sari Village Objective : At the end of the counseling process, after participating in counseling activities, it is hoped that children can understand and understand the concept of acute renal failure. Methods : The methods used in counseling about Kidney Disease Free in the Next 15 Years are lectures, educational videos and questions and answers and distributing leaflets. Results and Discussion: showed an increase in the knowledge of students and parents regarding the prevention of kidney failure. Before counseling, only about 30% of participants had good knowledge about kidney function and risk factors that can cause kidney failure. However, after counseling, the percentage increased to 80%. This shows that the counseling method used is effective in improving participants' understanding.

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the non-communicable diseases that can cause serious complications if not treated properly. Giving tomato juice as an alternative to non-pharmacological treatment can help lower blood pressure. With the aim of determining the effect of hypertension counseling by administering tomato juice on lowering blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Hypertension counseling through the lecture method to the productive age community in Sumber Sari village. Hypertension counseling with tomato juice can help lower blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Therefore, giving tomato juice can be one of the alternative non-pharmacological treatments to help manage hypertension.

Abstract

Dental caries is one of the health problems that often occur in elementary school children, which can have an impact on quality of life and learning achievement. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of dental health counseling in improving children's knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors related to the prevention of dental caries. The research was conducted at SD Negeri 03 Kabawetan, Sumber Sari Village, Kabawetan District, Kepahiang Regency, in 2025. Counseling was carried out using interactive methods, including lectures, demonstrations of correct brushing, and the use of educational media in the form of videos and posters. Data was collected through questionnaires to measure knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors before and after counseling. The results showed a significant increase in children's knowledge score (p < 0.05), attitude (p < 0.05), and behavior (p < 0.05) related to the prevention of dental caries. In addition, students showed high enthusiasm for counseling methods that involved hands-on practice and visual media. The conclusion of this study is that interactive dental health counseling is effective in increasing understanding and forming healthy living habits in elementary school age children.

Abstract

Acute Respiratory Tract Infection (ARI) is a disease of the upper and lower respiratory tract, this disease is often suffered by infants, children, the elderly and or people who have health problems (Malang Health Office, 2018). ARI occurs in the respiratory tract starting from the nose, middle ear, pharynx (throat), voice box (larynx), bronchi, bronchi and lungs. The types of upper respiratory tract infections are cough, runny nose, earache (otitis media) and strep throat (pharyngitis), while the types of diseases that include lower respiratory tract infections are bronchitis, bronchitis and pneumonia (POM, 2019). The purpose of the counseling that our group carried out was to provide education to the people of Hamlet 2 of Bukit Sari village. It is hoped that with this counseling, the number of people with ISPA in hamlet 2 of Bukit Sari village can decrease and even be resolved.

Abstract

emergence of disease can be caused by lifestyle or lifestyle and food consumption patterns, which can cause health problems, one of which is stomach disorders, such as ulcers. Gastritis or dyspepsia, commonly known as ulcers, is a condition consisting of a number of symptoms that are felt as discomfort in the upper part of the stomach or heartburn. People who experience this condition often experience nausea, vomiting, dizziness, a sensation of fullness, and discomfort.

Abstract

Hypertension or high blood pressure is often referred to as The Silent Killer because it does not cause clear signs and symptoms unless it has entered the complication phase. Therefore, this disease can continue to get worse without being realized until it reaches a life-threatening level. Objective: At the end of the counseling process, all Kepahiang community members in Sido Rejo Village can understand and comprehend about hypertension. Methods: The method used in this counseling is by delivering material using leaflets. Results and discussion: The final result of this activity, extension workers are able to provide counseling material that has been made at least 90% of the counseling material.

Abstract

The prevalence of diabetes is increasing in line with lifestyle changes such as lack of exercise and frequent consumption of unhealthy foods such as fast food, which is happening in many countries today. For now, diabetes can affect anyone, including children, teenagers, adults and the elderly. This socialization and education activity aims to help increase the number of people with diabetes mellitus in Muara Dua Village.Diabetes mellitus is a disease that is always included in the top 10 most diseases based on the number of visits at the Delinom Health Center in Prabumulih City. The methods used in socialization and education are the elaboration of diabetes mellitus such as risk factors, complications, insulin therapy, diabetes mellitus diet and diabetic melitus foot care. In addition to the explanation, there was also a leaflet that was distributed to all the elderly who attended. Thus, it is hoped that public knowledge about Diabetes Mellitus will be greater so that it will be able to reduce the rate of increase in Diabetes Mellitus sufferers.

Abstract

Hypertension or high blood pressure is a major global health problem that occurs in all regions around the world. Approximately 31.1% of the world's adult population lives with hypertension, with 28.5% in high-income countries and 31.5% in low- and middle-income countries. Adrenaline increases the blood pressure that flows due to arterial contraction (vasoconstriction) resulting in an increase in heart rate, a person experiencing stress continues, blood pressure will remain high so that this person can be called hypertensive. Hypertension is the biggest cause of stroke, both systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Hypertension is called the silent disease because people do not know they have hypertension until they have their blood pressure checked. WHO (Word health organisation) states that hypertension is a condition where blood vessels have high blood pressure (systolic blood pressure ≤ 140 mmhg or diastolic blood pressure ≤ 90 mmhg). This counselling activity aims to increase the level of knowledge of the community, especially mothers related to hypertension, and to see a picture of the health status of mothers in RW 02 RT 03 Kel. Muara dua Kec.Prabumulih Timur. The place of this education and health check activity was carried out at RW 02 RT 03 Kel. Muara dua Kec.Prabumulih Timur. The time used was 13 January 2025 to 23 January 2025 consisting of 38 people who could participate in this education and health check activity. The counselling method used in this study was discussion and question and answer. Overall, this education and health check activity has had a positive impact on the community of RW 02 RT 03 Kel. Muara dua Kec.Prabumulih Timur. Increased awareness of the importance of early detection and control of hypertension is expected to reduce the risk of more serious complications in the future. The success of this programme also proves that collaboration between students, health workers and the community is very important in an effort to improve the health status of the community.
