Abstract

This research aims to measure students' mathematical literacy skills after using e-worksheets based on the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) Approach. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Students in class VIII of SMP N 1 Talang Kelapa, each with low, medium, and high literacy skills, were the subjects of this research. The categorization of students is based on the number of mathematical literacy components resulting from student answers on the test. Data was collected through observation, tests, and interviews. The purpose of observation is to measure the implementation of learning through RME, and the test is to measure students' literacy skills. In data analysis, the elements that appear most frequently are communication, mathematization, and the use of symbolic, formal, and technical language operations. Component 1 appears when students write a statement containing information about a problem and representing the results obtained. Component 2 emerges when students create a mathematical model of the problem, and component 7 emerges when students use formal forms that conform to mathematical definitions and rules. The results of learning observations carried out using e-worksheets based on the RME approach show that learning can be said to be of good quality according to the established criteria.

Abstract

Abstract. In preparing the learning process in the classroom, teachers must prepare learning tools. Learning tools consist of a syllabus, lesson plans, student worksheets, and assessments in the form of tests and non-tests. This service activity aims to provide training and the application of research related to the development of learning tools for middle school mathematics MGMP teachers, and to find out the response of high school Mathematics MGMP teachers to the assistance in developing learning tools provided. This community service implementation model is a mentoring model to improve teacher professionalism in preparing teaching and learning activities, especially in preparing learning tools, the need for basic understanding of theory, and its application. The number of participants who attended this activity was 33 mathematics teachers from Musi Rawas district. Overall, the implementation of this service activity went smoothly without any significant obstacles, only some participants were left from the Zoom meeting when the activity was carried out in sync due to signal interference. The results of the satisfaction response questionnaire analysis get positive results Abstrak. Dalam mempersiapkan proses pembelajaran di kelas, para guru harus menyiapkan perangkat pembelajaran. Perangkat pembelajaran terdiri dari silabus, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, lembar kerja peserta didik, serta lembar penilaian baik berupa tes maupun non tes. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan dan penerapan penelitian yang berkaitan dengan pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran bagi guru – guru MGMP matematika sekolah menengah, dan mengetahui respon guru -guru MGMP Matematika sekolah menengah terhadap pendampingan pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran yang diberikan. Model pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah model pendampingan untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme guru dalam mempersiapkan kegiatan belajar mengajar, terutama dalam menyusun perangkat pembelajaran, di mana diperlukan pemahaman dasar teori serta pengaplikasiannya. Jumlah peserta yang menghadiri kegiatan ini sebanyak 33 orang guru matematika dari kabupaten Musi Rawas. Secara keseluruhan, pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini berjalan lancar tanpa ada hambatan yang berarti, hanya saja terdapat beberapa peserta yang terkeluar dari Zoom meeting saat pelaksanaan kegiatan berlangsung secara synchronous dikarenakan gangguan signal. Hasil analisis angket respon kepuasan mendapatkan hasil yang positif

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low level of students' mathematical reasoning abilities related to self-regulated learning. Several aspects that can support it include an e-module and mathematical literacy. Based on this problem, this research aims to describe students' mathematical reasoning abilities reviewed through self-regulated learning, specifically through a mathematical literacy-based e-module. The method used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The research participants were 32 8th-graders in one of the junior high schools in Palembang. Meanwhile, the research sample consisted of 4 students, consisting of 2 students with a high level of self-regulated learning and 2 students with a moderate level of self-regulated learning. Data collection techniques used were tests, questionnaires, and interviews. The research results showed that students with high levels of self-regulated learning also have a high level of mathematical reasoning ability by showing 3 out of 3 mathematical reasoning ability indicators. Meanwhile, students with moderate levels of self-regulated learning also have moderate mathematical reasoning ability, as shown by two of the 3 mathematical reasoning ability indicators.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan tes literasi matematika untuk mengukur penalaran dan representasi matematis siswa pada materi SPLDV yang valid dan memiliki karakteristik yang baik. Penelitian ini mengadopsi prosedur pengembangan R&D, yakni pengumpulan informasi, pengembangan produk, dan uji coba & revisi awal. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar validasi. Analisis data menggunakan Microsoft Excel dan SPSS 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, melalui validasi ahli, instrumen tes yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan untuk mengukur penalaran dan representasi matematis siswa dan butir soal terkategori valid, reliabel, tingkat kesukaran sedang dan tinggi, serta daya pembedanya baik. This study aims to produce a mathematical literacy test to measure students' mathematical reasoning and representation on system of linear equations in two variables (SLETV) material that is valid and has good characteristics. This research adopts R&D development procedures, namely information gathering, product development, and initial trials & revisions. The instrument used was a validation sheet. Data analysis using Microsoft Excel and SPSS 26. The results of the study showed that, through expert validation, the developed test instrument can be used to measure students' mathematical reasoning and representation and the test items are categorized as valid, reliable, moderate and high levels of difficulty, and have good discriminatory power.

Abstract

Hal yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini ialah rendahnya kemampuan representasi matematis siswa dimana kemampuan tersebut dipengaruhi oleh tingkat kemandirian belajar. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan guna mengatasi hal tersebut salah satunya ialah problem-based learning (PBL). Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk memberikan deskripsi mengenai kemampuan representasi matematis siswa kelas VIII yang ditinjau dari kemandirian belajar setelah dilakukannya model PBL. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Angket, tes, dan wawancara merupakan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan. Angket dipakai untuk melihat tingkat kemandirian belajar siswa dan tes digunakan untuk melihat kemampuan representasi siswa. Subjek pada penelitian ini ialah siswa kelas VIII SMPN 6 Indralaya Utara. Hasil analisis didapat bahwa setiap aspek representasi matematis (visual, simbolik, dan verbal) muncul pada setiap siswa baik dengan tingkat kemandirian belajar tinggi, sedang, maupun rendah dengan perolehan nilai secara berturut-turut 91.7, 50, dan 45.8. Tingkat kemandirian belajar sejalan dengan tingkat kemampuan representasi matematis pada siswa dengan tingkat kemandirian belajar tinggi dan sedang. Sedangkan pada peserta didik dengan tingkat kemandirian belajar rendah memiliki tingkat kemampuan representasi matematis sedang. Kesimpulannya adalah PBL dapat memunculkan kemampuan representasi matematis yang baik pada siswa berkemandirian belajar tinggi, sedang, maupun rendah.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan matematika siswa di Indonesia tergolong rendah, guru perlu menerapkan media pembelajaran yang dapat melatih kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa, yang salah satu media tersebut adalah media ajar berbasis RME (Realistic Mathematics Education) berbantuan aplikasi pixton. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh media ajar berbasis RME berbantuan aplikasi pixton terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen menggunakan desain The Pretest-Posttest Non-Equivalent Control Group, yang dilakukan di salah satu SMP Negeri Kota Palembang. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu siswa kelas VIII.6 sebanyak 33 orang dan siswa kelas VIII.2 sebanyak 31 orang, dengan menggunakan instrumen tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan terdapat pengaruh media ajar berbasis RME berbantuan aplikasi pixton terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Students' mathematical solving abilities in Indonesia are relatively low, teachers need to apply instructional media that can train students' mathematical problem-solving abilities, one of which is RME (Realistic Mathematics Education)-based teaching media assisted by the pixton application. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of RME-based teaching media assisted by the Pixton application on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. This research is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental method using The Pretest-Posttest Non-Equivalent Control Group design, which was conducted at one of Palembang City Public Middle Schools. The samples used were 33 students in class VIII.6 and 31 students in class VIII.2, using a test instrument. Data analysis technique using t-test with the help of SPSS. The results of the data analysis concluded that there was an influence of RME-based teaching media assisted by the pixton application on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

This research is development research that aims to create student worksheets based on RME with Cabri 3D to train junior high school students' mathematical connections on solid with non-flat surface materials that are valid, practical, and have potential. The development model used is ADDIE. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 10 Palembang in the even semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. The subjects in this study were students of IX Class. This study consisted of two stages, Preliminary and formative evaluation. Walkthrough and interview data contained comments and suggestions from validators and students. Questionnaire data to see the practicality of the developed Student worksheet. All data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods. in the analysis, it was found that the student worksheet was built with valid criteria based on the validator results and practical. The questionnaire sheets with an average of 85.67%, which is very practical according to the criteria. The test showed the students' mathematical connection ability was categorized as good with an average of 87.88% after using the developed student worksheet. Based on the results obtained, the developed student worksheet meets the valid, practical and effective criteria.

Abstract

After the Covid-19 pandemic, schools have started to carry out face-to-face learning (PTM) normally as before the pandemic. However, the implementation of this PTM still has to apply health protocols so that the Covid-19 pandemic does not return. This study aims to analyze mathematics learning problems after the Covid-19 pandemic in elementary School. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques in this study in the form of observation and interviews. The results of this study stated that many problems were found in students and teachers during learning mathematics. The findings of the problems that exist in students are (1) lack of motivation to learn in students, (2) learning patterns of students who only study at school, (3) teacher centered learning methods, (4) online learning change system towards offline learning, and (5 ) assignment system to students. While the findings of the problems that exist in the teacher are (1) various student behavior, (2) lack of teacher innovation in the learning process, and (3) differences in the past and present learning systems.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Mengetahui Respon Guru SD melalui Training of Teacher untuk Meningkatkan Kecapakan Matematis di Era Revolusi 4.0. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian Deskriptif Kualitatif dengan melibatkan subjek sebanyak 6 guru SD Negeri 7 Lawang Kidul. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dengan cara angket setelah dilakukan pelatihan kepada guru selama 6 hari. Angket yang digunakan pada penelitian ini merupakan angket dengan jawaban terbuka. Pada angket memuat perihal refleksi dari pelatihan yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya. Data-data yang telah didapat kemudian diolah dan dianalisis secara Kualitatif Non Statistik yaitu, tanpa adanya perhitungan statistik, lalu hasil pada penelitian ini akan dideskripsikan melalui kalimat yang akan ditarik kesimpulannya. Hasil penelitian dari dilaksanakannya Training of Teachers (ToT) untuk meningkatkan kecakapan guru diihat dari data analisis dan pembahasan diperoleh bahwa guru telah mendapatkan beberapa informasi mengenai kecakapan yang diperlukan pada era revolusi industri 4.0 diantaranya belajar matematika dengan praktik, menggunakan media pembelajaran yang bervariasi, dan pengetahuan bahwa ketika seorang guru matematika yang mengajar itu harus menjadi seorang  guru yang menyenangkan dan bisa menjelaskan materi pembelajaran matematika dengan cara yang menarik.
