Abstract

This research examines the application of the Masseroi Tondok tradition in the culture of the Seko community in Malimongan Village, Seko District, through a theological approach. Masseroi Tondok, which means "cleaning or organizing the village", is a traditional tradition that contains strong spiritual and social values. The main aim of this research is to explore the theological meaning contained in the implementation of this tradition and its implications for the religious and cultural life of the local community. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a contextual theological approach, through in-depth interviews, participatory observation and literature study. The results of the study show that the Masseroi Tondok tradition not only functions as a traditional ritual, but also reflects divine values, such as gratitude, purity and harmony with nature and fellow humans. This tradition also strengthens cultural identity and builds social solidarity of the Seko community. These findings indicate that there is close integration between theological values and local wisdom in the cultural practices of the Seko community.

Abstract

This research discusses the concept of God in the three major religions of Islam, Christianity and Hinduism, highlighting the differences and similarities in their theological teachings. Islam emphasizes the concept of Tawhid, which teaches the absolute oneness of God without partners. Christianity introduces the concept of the Trinity, which is one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Meanwhile, Hinduism has the concept of Brahman as the ultimate reality that is formless, but can be manifested in various deities, including the Trimurti (Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva). This research uses a qualitative study method with a comparative theological approach, which aims to understand how the three religions define God as well as their doctrinal and philosophical implications. The main sources used include the holy books of each religion, namely the Qur’an, the Bible, and the Vedas, as well as related academic studies. Through this research, it is hoped to provide a broader understanding of the differences and common ground of the concept of God in the three religions as well as the importance of interfaith dialogue in building tolerance and social harmony.

Abstract

The sovereignty of God is a classic topic that is always relevant when faced with the many challenges and obstacles experienced by every human being. For example, in human life, especially believers. Sometimes God is always there despite the fact that mankind does not care about Him. It is almost the same as what happened in the OT era where the Israelites did not care about the love that God gave them but God still continued to take care of His people. This is quite a unique thing why God always keeps His power over His people even though He is often ignored by His people. Therefore, the discussion below is about the sovereignty of God or the totality of God in guarding and protecting His people.
