Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh motivasi siswa yang rendah. Hasil belajar siswa pada materi sifat koligatif larutan juga rata-rata masih di bawah Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal. Sumber belajar yang digunakan berupa buku ajar dan masih belum terintegrasi socio scientific issues. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat validitas, kepraktisan, dan efektivitas dari e-modul yang dikembangkan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dan menggunakan model Four D. Produk yang dikembangkan berupa e-modul berbasis socio scientific issues pada materi sifat koligatif larutan. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah lembar penilaian berupa angket dan soal pilihan ganda. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah rumus momen kappa. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa e-modul yang dikembangkan memiliki tingkat validitas dan kepraktisan yang sangat tinggi dengan nilai k sama dengan 0,90 dan 0,92. Di samping itu, efektivitas e-modul berada pada kategori medium dengan nilai n gain sebesar 0,32. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah e-modul berbasis socio scientific issues pada materi sifat koligatif larutan telah layak dan efektif pada proses pembelajaran.  Abstract: This research is in the latter due to low student learning motivation. Student's learning results on the material of the colligative properties of the solution also the mean values were still under the Minimum Completeness Criteria. The learning resources used were in the form of textbooks and were still not integrated with socio-scientific issues. This research aims to know the scale of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the e-modules developed. This form of study qualifies as research and development (R&D) and employs the Four D model. The product development is an e-module based on socio-scientific issues on colligative materials in solution. The instrument used in this study is an assessment sheet of the type of anxiety and the multiple-choice question. Data analysis employed the kappa moment formula. The results show that the developed and practical e-module had a very high level of validity with a value of k equal with 0.91 and 0.92. Alongside this, the effectiveness of the e-module is in the medium category, with an N-gain value of 0.32. This study concludes that the e-modules based on socio-scientific issues in the colligative properties of solutions are feasible and effective in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the needs analysis, validity, practicality, effectiveness and student response to STEM-PjBL-based E-Modules. This research was conducted at SMAS Kartika I-2 Medan and the sample of class XI IPA 2. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) and the development model is 4-D (Four D). The data collection technique is through interviews, observations, questionnaires and tests. Data analysis on the validity test uses the kappa moment formula and the effectiveness test uses the N-Gain test. The results obtained are analyzing the needs of teachers have not maximally used the PjBL learning model, and have never used STEM-PjBL-based E-Modules and the books used have not contained projects and STEM. As many as 69.7% of students feel bored and 57.6% of students prefer to do project-based learning. Validity obtained an average kappa moment of 0.82 very high category, from material experts 0.86 and media experts 0.79 very high category. Practicality by teachers obtained an average kappa moment of 0.99 very high category. Effectiveness obtained an average N-gain of 0.52 medium category. Student response obtained an average kappa moment of 0.81 very high category.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is based on the demands of 21st century education where students must have qualified skills to enter the world of work after completing their studies. This can be done through the learning process using the Outcome Based Education (OBE) curriculum, which in the process can be done by applying the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model. In supporting the learning process to be optimal, it is necessary to develop teaching materials that are in accordance with the demands of 21st century education. This study aims to see the effectiveness of IBM SPSS Statistics teaching materials based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) based on the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum on the topic of Differential Test. The study population was five classes, namely all chemistry education students at Medan State University in 2022 who were taking Statistics courses as many as 5 classes. The sample used in the study was 1 class selected by random sampling technique, which consisted of 25 students. The instrument used to measure the effectiveness of teaching materials developed is a test instrument in the form of 4 essay questions that have been valid and reliable. Testing effectiveness by comparing student learning outcomes in the state before and after using teaching materials. The effectiveness of teaching materials in this study was measured using the N-gain score. From the results of the analysis, it was found that the effectiveness of IBM SPSS Statistic-based Project Based Learning (PjBL) teaching materials based on the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum on different test material was declared quite effective with an N-Gain value of 68%.Keyword: Outcome Based Education, Project Based Learning (PjBL), T-test, IBM SPSS, StatisticsAbstrak: Penelitian ini latarbelakangi tuntutan pendidikan abad 21 dimana mahasiswa harus mempunyai kecakapan yang mumpuni untuk terjun dalam dunia kerja setelah menyelesaikan kuliahnya. Hal ini dapat dilakukan melalui proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan kurikulum Outcome Based Education (OBE), dimana dalam prosesnya dapat dilakukan dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL). Dalam menunjang proses pembelajaran agar maksimal maka perlu dikembangkan bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan tuntutan pendidikan abad 21. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat keefektifan bahan ajar ajar IBM SPSS Statistics Berbasis Project Based Learning (PjBL) berdasarkan kurikulum Outcome-Based Education (OBE) pada materi Uji Beda. Populasi penelitian sebanyak lima kelas yakni seluruh mahasiswa pendidikan kimia Universitas Negeri Medan stambuk 2022 yang sedang mengambil mata kuliah Statistik sebanyak 5 kelas. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian sebanyak 1 kelas yang dipilih dengan teknik random sampling, dimana terdiri dari 25 orang mahasiswa. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur efektivitas bahan ajar yang dikembangkan adalah instrumen tes berupa 4 soal essay yang telah valid dan reliabel. Pengujian efektivitas dengan membandingkan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada keadaan sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan bahan ajar. Efektivitas bahan ajar dalam penelitian ini diukur menggunakan N-gain score. Dari hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa efektivitas bahan ajar IBM SPSS Statistic Berbasis Project Based Learning (PjBL) berdasarkan kurikulum Outcome-Based Education (OBE) pada materi uji beda dinyatakan cukup efektif dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 68%.Kata Kunci: Outcome Based Education (OBE), Project Based Learning (PjBL), Uji Beda, IBM SPSS, Statistik

Abstract

The development of STEM-PjBL based E-Modules reaction rate material is an innovation that combines 21st century approach and learning model. The purpose of this study to analyze the needs of students, feasibility level, practicality level, effectiveness and student responses to STEM-PjBL based E-Modules. The method used is Research and Development with the 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) development model. The research sample were students of class XI-1 SMAN 1 Kisaran. Tests, questionnaires and interviews were used to analyze the data. The results showed that 69.7% of the students had difficulty in understanding the response rate and 87.9% needed interactive project-based teaching materials. The e-modules feasibility test showed an average kappa moment of 0.84 (very high), practicality test an average kappa moment of 0.99 (very high), the effectiveness obtained N-gain of 0.78 (high), and the student response test to the STEM-PjBL based E-Modules with average kappa moment of 0.92 (very high).

Abstract

Absract: Collaboration skills are 21st century skills that are very important to be trained to learners, especially to students as a provision for entering the world of work.. Collaboration skills can be trained in learning with a continuous process through the right learning model and teaching materials. This study aims to see the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model using teaching materials developed with the PjBL model on collaboration skills and improving student learning outcomes in the Kapita Selecta Chemistry course. In addition, a correlation test was conducted to see if there was a positive and significant correlation between collaboration skills and improved student learning outcomes. This study involved 32 students of Chemistry Education study program. The instrument used to measure collaboration skills is an observation sheet rubric, while the instrument used to measure the improvement of student learning outcomes is in the form of multiple choice questions of 20 questions that have been valid and reliable. The results showed that the application of the PjBL learning model using teaching materials developed in accordance with the PjBL learning model can train student collaboration skills with a percentage of 85.42% with a very high category and can improve student learning outcomes of 77.1% with an effective category. This study shows that there is a positive and significant correlation between collaboration skills and improving student learning outcomes in capita selecta courses (sig.2-tailed 0.000 <0.05). Keyword: Collaboration Skills, Project Based Learning, Capita Selekta Kimia Abstrak: Keterampilan kolaborasi merupakan keterampilan abad 21 yang sangat penting untuk dilatihkan kepada peserta didik, khususnya kepada mahasiswa sebagai bekal untuk masuk dalam dunia kerja. Keterampilan kolaborasi dapat dilatih dalam pembelajaran dengan proses yang terus-menerus melalui model pembelajaran dan bahan ajar yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) menggunakan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dengan model PjBL terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi dan peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Kapita Selekta Kimia. Selain itu dilakukan uji korelasi untuk melihat apakah terdapat korelasi yang positif dan signifikan antara keterampilan kolaborasi terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini melibatkan 32 orang mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Kimia. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur keterampilan kolaborasi berupa rubrik lembar observasi, sedangkan instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa berupa soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 soal yang telah valid dan reliabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran PjBL menggunakan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan sesuai dengan model pembelajaran PjBL dapat melatih keterampilan kolaborasi mahasiswa dengan hasil persentase 85,42% dengan kategori sangat tinggi serta dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar mahassiwa yang sebesar 77,1% dengan kategori efektif. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasiyang positif dan signifikan antara keterampilan kolaborasi dengan peningkatan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah kapita selekta (sig.2-tailed 0,000 <0,05). Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between math skills and chemistry learning outcomes of MAN 1 Medan students. This research is quantitative using basic linear regression analysis. The sample was taken by purposive sampling and a sample of one class was selected, namely XI MIPA 2. The instrument used was a test consisting of 10 essay questions on each chemistry question sheet of buffer solution and math ability. Analysis of research instruments was carried out with qualitative analysis and hypothesis testing was carried out with correlation and determination coefficient tests. The results of data analysis showed a positive and strong relationship between math ability and chemistry learning outcomes, this is evidenced by the acquisition of a sig value of 0.00 <0.05 and a correlation coefficient of 0.809. As for the contribution of the influence of math ability on chemistry learning outcomes of 65.4% to learning outcomes and other factors affect the remaining 34.6%. Keyword: Chemistry Learning Outcomes, Math Skills, Buffer Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan kemampuan matematika dan hasil belajar kimia siswa MAN 1 Medan. Penelitian ini termasuk kuantitatif dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linier dasar. Sampel diambil secara purposive sampling dan dipilih sampel dari satu kelas, yaitu XI MIPA 2. Instrumen yang digunakan ialah tes yang terdiri dari 10 soal esai pada masing-masing lembar soal kimia larutan penyangga dan kemampuan matematika. Analisis instrumen penelitian dilakukan dengan analisis kualitatif dan pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan uji koefien korelasi dan determinasi. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif dan kuat antara kemampuan matematika dan hasil belajar kimia, hal ini dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai sig 0,00< 0,05 dan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,809. Adapun untuk kontribusi pengaruh kemampuan matematika terhadap hasil belajar kimia sebesar 65,4% terhadap hasil belajar dan faktor lain memengaruhi 34,6% sisanya. Abstract

An essential skill for learning chemistry is science literacy, which includes attitudes toward science, the scientific method, application in practical settings, and conceptual comprehension. However, the previous research revealed that students’ science literacy among Indonesian undergraduate students is still low, especially when it comes to abstract and complicated concepts like acids and bases. The study aims to develop STEM-PjBl-based teaching materials on acid acid-base topic and evaluate their effectiveness in enhancing students' science literacy. The study employs the 4D development model. The product effectiveness test was conducted at the development stage using a quasi-experimental design in the form of a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were 90 chemistry education undergraduate students who took basic chemistry courses in the 2024/2025 academic year, consisting of 3 classes. Data was gathered by a science literacy test, validation sheets, and practicality surveys for lecturers. The validity of questionnaire responses was obtained by three experts' judgment using the kappa coefficient, the practicality questionnaire was also assessed using the kappa coefficient, while the validity of data on science literacy improvement was obtained through pre-test and post-test results. The results showed that the average kappa coefficient of expert validation of STEM-PjBL-based teaching materials is 0.88 (high validity). The practicality questionnaire produced an average kappa coefficient of 0.89 (high practicality). The effectiveness test obtained an average n-gain value of 0.65 (moderate), as evidenced by student involvement in designing projects to create soft drinks from natural ingredients through the PjBL model. The designing and evaluating scientific investigations indicator (n-gain 0.67) shows the most significant improvement because students were required to systematically design experimental procedures, including problem identification, variable determination, hypothesis formulation, planning tools, materials, and work steps following scientific principles.    Keywords: teaching materials, STEM-PjBL, science literacy, acid-base.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1. Mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran video berbasis aplikasi Canva terintegrasi model pembelajaran PBL, 2. Mengetahui kepraktisan media pembelajaran video bagi guru di SMA Budi Agung Medan, dan 3. Mengetahui bagaimana respons siswa kelas XI di SMA Budi Agung Medan terhadap media pembelajaran video yang telah dikembangkan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D), dan model pengembangan 4D digunakan untuk menguji efektivitas produk tersebut. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas XI IPA di SMA Budi Agung Medan, dan sampel yang digunakan adalah sekitar 41 siswa kelas XI IPA kelas Ustman bin Affan. Hasil validasi ahli materi terhadap media pembelajaran video menghasilkan nilai persentase rata-rata sebesar 78% dengan kriteria cukup valid, sedangkan hasil validasi ahli media menghasilkan nilai persentase rata-rata sebesar 94% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Hasil uji kepraktisan oleh guru menghasilkan nilai persentase rata-rata sebesar 91% dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Hasil angket respons siswa terhadap media pembelajaran video menghasilkan nilai persentase rata-rata sebesar 84% dengan kriteria menarik.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of LKPD STEM using Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on reaction rate material. This research was conducted at SMAN 8 Medan in the 2022/2023 school year. This type of research is a quasi experiment with pretest posttest control group design. The population in this study were all XI MIPA classes at SMAN 8 Medan. The research sample was XI MIPA 4 class as an experimental class taught with STEM LKPD using Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and XI MIPA 1 class as a control taught using Problem Based Learning (PBL) model without STEM LKPD. The instruments used in this study were 20 multiple choice questions that had been tested for validity, reliability, difficulty level and differentiation, and 25 items of questionnaire statements of learning interest. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of STEM LKPD using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on learning outcomes with hypothesis testing sig. 0,001 < α (0,05). In addition, there is an effect of STEM LKPD using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on learning interest with a hypothesis test sig. 0,000 < α (0,05).
