Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan panduan praktis dalam pembelajaran Asam dan Basa berdasarkan penemuan dan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek di SMA kelas XI dan menentukan efektivitas menggunakan panduan praktek yang dikembangkan dari penemuan dan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek. Tahapan dalam penelitian ini meliputi (1) Mengetahui komponen panduan praktis berdasarkan analisis sintaks  Penemuan dan Proyek Pembelajaran Berbasis Model, (2) Merumuskan dan mengembangkan panduan praktis dalam pembelajaran Asam dan Basa sesuai dengan model sintaks Penemuan dan Proyek Pembelajaran Berbasis, (3) Standardisasi atau kelayakan Panduan Praktis untuk guru dan dosen, (4) Pelaksanaan panduan praktis untuk siswa kelas XI yang digunakan Kurikulum 2013, (5) Menganalisis efektifitas panduan praktek diuji. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa kelayakan panduan praktis Penemuan Model memiliki rata-rata 3,30. Dan panduan praktis Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek memiliki rata-rata menjadi 3,59. Sedangkan efektivitas penggunaan panduan praktis penemuan dan Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek itu terlihat dari peningkatan belajar siswa dalam pikiran bahwa kelas eksperimen pertama yang menggunakan panduan praktis model Penemuan memiliki nilai rata-rata 88,00 dengan kenaikan 79,3% hasil belajar. Sementara eksperimen kelas II menggunakan panduan praktis model Pembelajaran Berdasarkan Proyek memiliki nilai rata-rata 77,50 dengan kenaikan 61,7% hasil belajar. Disimpulkan bahwa panduan praktis Penemuan dan Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek layak untuk digunakan sebagai panduan praktis di sekolah, dengan peningkatan hasil belajar menggunakan panduan praktis Penemuan tinggi daripada menggunakan panduan praktis model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek.

Abstract

The aims of this research is to determine the chemistry instructional model to improve student learning outcomes, communicative and self confidence character’s for XI grade of senior high school on teaching solution chemistry. The 3 experiment class as a samples were taken by purposive random sampling respectively from 3 units of state senior high school (SMA Negeri) in Medan. These experiment class were taught by various teaching model. The experiment class-1 (Ec-1) taught by direct instruction strategy, experimen class-2 (Ec-2) by problem-based learning without media and experiment class-3 (Ec-3) by problem-based learning using the Internet media. The achievement test about solution chemistry used as instrument to know student outcomes, and quisionary and observation list used as intrument to know how communicative and confidence student characters. The one-way ANOVA in SPSS 19 for windows program used to hypothesis testing at α = 0.05 level of significance. The results shows (1) There is a significant differences of students learning outcomes between students which taught by direct instruction model, problem-based learning without media and problem-based learning model using internet media on teaching solution chemistry. (2) There is a significance differences of student communicative character between students which taught by by direct instruction model, problem-based learning without media and problem-based learning model using internet media on teaching solution chemistry. (3) There is a significance differences of student self confidence character between students which taught by by direct instruction model, problem-based learning without media and problem-based learning model using internet media on teaching solution chemistry. (4) There is a significant corelation between student communicative character with student learning outcomes in class who taught by problem-based learning using internet media. (5) There is a significant corelation between self-confident character with student learning outcomes in class who taught by direct instruction, problem-based learning without media and problem-based learning using internet media. Abstract. This research aims to know the effect of application Camtasia studio multimedia and power-point media toward activities and student learning outcomes in the atomic structure topic. The population in this research were all of tenth grade students of SMA Swasta Ar - Rahman Medan as much as 2 classes of 60 people, divided into two classes of samples with total sampling. The research data were collected from the sample is in the form of student learning activity data derived from observation and questionnaire, and student learning outcomes obtained from tests of learning outcomes in the form of multiple choice of 20 questions with a reliability of 0.832 (very high). Tests have been conducted in the form requirements of normality and homogeneity test, the result that normal and homogeneous data. The hypothesis was tested with General Linear Model (GLM) at a significance level of 0.05 using SPSS 21 for windows. Based on data analysis and hypothesis testing are carried out found that: (1) There is a significant difference from the application of Camtasia studio multimedia and power-point toward the learning outcomes of students in the atomic structure topic, which is shown by sig. (P) 0.026 and tcount (2,291) ; (2) There are differences in students learning activities of the application Camtasia studio multimedia and power-point media in the atomic structure topic, which is shown by sig. (P) 0,000 and mean of experiment-1 (77,69) > mean of experiment-2 (74,35); (3) There was a significant interaction between the media applied learning with students learning activities in influencing student learning outcomes in the atomic structure topic, which is shown by sig. Abstract

Abstract: The Impact of the PBL Model on Senior High School Student Learning Outcomes Using Google Classroom. This study aims to determine the effect of the problem based learning model with the help of google classroom media on the learning outcomes of high school students on the subject of oxidation-reduction reactions at SMAN 1 Siantar. This type of research is an experimental study with a pretest-posttest control design. The data collection of student learning outcomes was obtained from the pretest and posttest scores. This study resulted in the average data of student learning outcomes from the posttest in the experimental class that was greater than the control class, namely 62 and 50. Data analysis used the T-Test test which resulted in a significance value of learning outcomes less than 0.05, namely 0.003. Based on this analysis, it can be concluded that learning using the PBL model with the help of google classroom media has a significant effect on senior high school student learning outcomes on oxidation-reduction material at SMAN 1 Siantar.

Abstract

AbstrakTelah dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian berupa pemanfaatan urin sapi menjadi pupuk organik cair pada kelompok tani “Sidodadi” dan “Maju II” desa Sukadamai Timur. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah 1) meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani/peternak dalam membuat pupuk organik cair dari urin sapi sebagai bahan utama 2) membantu meningkatkan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan petani/peternak dari sub-sektor pertanian. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dimulai dengan metode pendekatan dengan menjalin kerjasama tim pelaksana dengan LPM Unimed dan pemerintah setempat serta kedua Kelompok Tani, dilanjutkan dengan penyuluhan dan pelatihan serta penerapan langsung oleh petani/peternak. Hasil-hasil yang diperoleh adalah anggota kader dari masing-masing kelompok mitra telah : (1) memiliki pengetahuan dan wawasan tentang potensi dan pemanfaatan urin sapi menjadi pupuk organik cair, (2) memiliki keterampilan dalam pembuatan pupuk organik cair, (3) pupuk yang dihasilkan berpengaruh positif terhadap tanaman.Kata kunci : urin sapi, pupuk organik cairAbstract The service activities have been carried out at the “Sidodadi" and "Maju II” farmer groups, East Sukadamai village by the utilization of cow urine as the starter in liquid organic fertilizer. The main purpose of this activity is 1) to improve the knowledge and skills of farmer/ranchers in making liquid organic fertilizer from cow urine as a main ingredient 2) to help improving the income and welfare of farmers/ranchers from the agricultural sub-sector. This service activities began with a partnership approach with the implementation team with LPM Unimed and local governments as well as the Farmers Group, followed by counseling and training as well as direct application by farmers. The results of implementation of the project showed that the member of each groups; (1) have the knowledge and insight about the potential and the usage of cow urine as starter in fabrication of liquid organic fertilizer; (2) have good skill to prepare liquid organic fertilizer; (3) have shown the positive effect of the liquid organic fertilizer on growing the plant. Abstract

Young coconut (Cocos nucifera L.) is a plant with a high cellulose content of 28%. Because of its high cellulose content, young coconut coir fiber has the potential to be synthesized into α-cellulose. The purpose of this research was to use FT-IR to characterize young coconut coir α-cellulose. This research method was use isolation of α-cellulose method (delignification, swelling, and bleaching). 75 grams of young coconut coir can produce 12,1015 grams of α-cellulose. Young coconut coir α-cellulose has a spectrum that is similar to commercial α-cellulose, according to the results of functional group analysis using FT-IR.

Abstract

Technological developments change the researchers and educators thinking towards online learning. Various innovations were carried out to support effective online learning which suitable with the student competencies. As there is urgency for carrying practicum activities to achieved Course Learning Achievement (Capaian Pembelajaran Mata Kuliah (CPMK)) for the basic chemistry subject, there is need to make some innovation, which is by making practicum video. It could stimulate students critical thinking because it was presented with visual representations. It could overcome the limitations of space and time and could be used repeatedly. The research type was Research and Development with the Borg and Gall development model. The final product will be disseminated through YouTube platform which is integrated with sipda.unimed.ac.id. Validation results in media design and material aspect showed that the product was declared very valid with an average value of 86.87 percent and 97.92 percent, respectively. Meanwhile, the responses from 30 students showed that the product was very practical with an average score of more than 90 percent and was suitable with learning objectives of the basic chemistry course especially the periodic system of elements.

Abstract

Research has been carried out to develop a Three Tier Instrument Test with Certainty of Response Index (CRI) with the aims to find out (1) analysis of teaching learning chemistry, (2) the eligibility categories in terms of expert validation, (3) the percentage of misconceptions in each sub-concepts of redox reaction, and (4) the causes of students’ misconceptions about redox reaction material. The instrument is prepared with 10 items validated contains each sub concepts. Research results show that: (1) teaching learning chemistry using curriculum 2013, various student textbooks and methods so research develop many aspects of question instruments that needed in research by interviewing the teacher of each schools, (2) the test instrument has very decent criteria with the assessment of material, language, and construction aspect, (3) the lowest percentages of students’ misconception in redox reaction’s sub-concept is oxidizing and reducing agent in reaction (54.09%) and the highest percentages is in sub-concept of autoredox concept (69.98%) with all categories of misconceptions are enough, (4) the causes of students’ misconceptions in learning redox reaction found in the material, learning source, teachers aspect. It because students were taught by different teacher, different method, and different source in learning redox reaction.

Abstract

The use of android-based learning media is one of the 21st century learning style applications. By using media that have been developed, this research was also conducted to find out the improvement of student learning outcomes. The population in this study were 2 class XI IPA of SMA Negeri 1 Sidamanik, where the experimental class 1 was given an integrated e-worksheet of problem based learning and the experimental class 2 was given a power point with a direct interaction model. This research uses methods and media development (R&D). The results of the feasibility analysis of the e-worksheet on the aspect of content eligibility are 4.75; language eligibility is 4,80; the feasibility of serving is 4.82 and the feasibility of serving is 4.14. By using e-worksheets that integrate problem based learning in the reaction rate material obtained an increase in learning outcomes of 82.4% with the highest value of 95 and the lowest value of 75 both of which have passed the KKM of 70. Hypothesis testing conducted yielding tcount> ttable was 3.88 > 2,042. It can be concluded that through the development of this media can improve student learning outcomes.
