Abstract

The purpose of the study was to improve the science process skills of students who used the guided inquiry learning model on plant growth and development material. This type of research is quasi experimental in the form of Nonequivalent control group design. Population of all XII IPA classes. Samples of class XII IPA 1 (experimental) using guided inquiry learning model and class XII IPA 2 (control) with discovery learning model. Indicators of science process skills observed in this study consisted of aspects of observing, classifying, interpreting, predicting, asking questions, hypothesizing, using tools and materials, planning experiments, and communicating. The results of the study, science process skills in the experimental class the percentage is higher than the control class. In the experimental class, the aspect of observing was the highest aspect with a percentage of 88.39% while in the control class the highest aspect was the aspect of observing and asking questions with a percentage of 82.09% and 82.59%. The lowest percentage aspect is hypothesizing both experimental and control classes with a percentage of 80.36% and 58.04%. So the observation of the application of the guided inquiry learning model on plant growth and development material can improve students' science process skills.

Abstract

Research aims to improve students' science process skills by using the Discovery Learning learning model on biodiversity material. This classroom action research was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo. The instruments used in this research were observation sheets and written tests to measure students' science process skills. The research results show that using the discovery learning model can improve students' science process skills. This is proven by the results of the 6 indicators of science process skills, namely observing, classifying/grouping, interpreting, asking questions, hypothesizing and applying the concepts measured, getting an average percentage in cycle I of 70.42% and in cycle II amounting to 81.37%. with an N-Gain score obtained of 0.59 or a value of 0.3 ≤ g ≤ 0.7 (medium category). The achievement of student learning outcomes as measured by objective test questions also saw an increase in the average score in cycle I of 55% and in cycle II of 76%. Thus it can be concluded that the discovery learning learning model can be used in the learning process which can improve students' science process skills at SMA Negeri 1 Gorontalo and as information material, especially in the use of appropriate learning models in learning activities

Abstract

Differentiated learning is the core of the independent curriculum now.The aim of this research is to develop an instrument for measuring the cognitive learning outcomes of high school students based on differentiated learning on elasticity material and to obtainits characteristics. Differentiation, in this case, is differentiation of student learning styles. The instrument grid is arranged based on indicators of cognitive learning outcomes, which are then used to compile question items. The test instrument consists of two test sets, each of which has 9 items including two anchor itemsso that the total number of items is 16 items and has been validated by 6 experts. The validated instrument was tested on 252 respondents spread across high schools in the low, medium and high categories. Dichotomous data were analyzed using the Partial Credit Model (PCM). The trial results showed that all 16 items and the differentiated learning-based student cognitive learning outcomes test instrument were proven to be valid, fit the PCM model, and reliable, which means all items were in the good category. Thus, the test instrument developed meets the requirements for measuring the cognitive learning outcomes of high school students on elasticity material based on differentiated learning.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' learning concentration by using audio Murottal Al-Qur'an and Classical Music on Fungi material. The hypothesis studied in this study is that there is an effect of utilizing audio Murottal Al-Qur'an and classical music on increasing the concentration of learning of high school students at 1 Kabila. The research method used is quasi experiment. The research design is Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. The population in the study were all students of class X SMAN 1 Kabila, which were taken using purposive sampling technique. The results showed that there was a significant difference between before and after treatment. Because there is a difference, it is said that there is an effect of utilizing audio Murottal Al-Qur'an and classical music on students' learning concentration with a statistically significant p-value that is lower (p = 0.000) < than the alpha value  = 0.05. This is also reflected in the improvement of students' learning outcomes which shows that both methods are at the level of quite effective, with an N-Gain value of Murottal Al-Qur'an of 64.49% and Classical Music of 60.73%. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an effect of utilizing audio Murottal Al-Qur'an and classical music on increasing the learning concentration of students of SMA Negeri 1 Kabila.
