Abstract

Abstract

Perception is a person's assessment of the object or information. The purpose of this study was to determine how students perceive and see which students have a positive perception of the e-module physics-mathematics matrix based on gender differences. The type of research used is survey research. The research approach used is quantitative research. The research population is Jambi University physics education students with a total sample of 120 students. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical data analysis and inferential data analysis with Anova and post hoc Tukey B tests. The results of the study through the Anova test showed that female students and male students obtained sig. smaller than 0.05, namely 0.001 and 0.037, which means that the perception is significantly different from the post hoc results of the Anova test as a whole, indicating that the average perception does not have a significant difference. Male students have a more positive perception than female students. Gender differences that exist in students have an influence on student perceptions. Student perceptions can be used as a guide for lecturers to choose learning media that will be used in the classroom. This research can be used as a guideline for the development of student perception assessments on the mathematical physics e-module in the future with an update in this study, namely student perceptions of the mathematics physics e-module based on gender differences.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of the instrument for assessing students' collaboration skills in learning physics. This research is Research and Development (R & D) research with the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) model. In this research, the researcher limited the stages in the ADDIE model to the development stage only, so that the development research stages were reduced from five steps to three steps, namely analysis, design and development. The population in this study were students of SMA Negeri 1 Piyungan with a sample of 25 students. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The data obtained were analyzed using validity and reliability tests with the help of the SPSS application. The results obtained show that the validity value obtained is 1.00 with a very high validity category and the reliability value shown through the Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.927 is in the very high criteria. In the small group trial, an rtable value of 0.396 was also obtained, and the rcount value was in the range of 0.425 – 0.760. From these results it shows that the instrument for assessing students' collaboration skills in learning physics is valid and feasible to use.

Abstract

The development of guided inquiry-based physics e-LKPD is based on the lack of learning media in the MAN 1 Yogyakarta physics subject that can help students think critically. The purpose of this research is to develop a proper, effective, and practical guided inquiry-based physics e-LKPD to help students improve their critical thinking ability. The method is the R&D 4D design model, including: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The data analysis technique used is quantitative. Quantitative data analysis is used to determine the level of feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness. The results showed that the guided inquiry-based physics e-LKPD that had been developed was feasible to apply with a percentage of 100% media experts, 89% material experts, and 100% language experts, and the e-LKPD was stated to be practical as seen from the achievement of teacher response sheets with an average of 100% and student response sheets with an average of 90.07%. The e-LKPD was also declared effective in terms of the post-test completeness achievement of 0.70 in the moderate category. Based on the results above, it can be concluded that the guided inquiry-based physics e-LKPD that has been developed is declared feasible, practical, and effective to use and can improve students' critical thinking ability.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the guided inquiry learning model on student motivation and learning outcomes at Junior high school 2 Piyungan. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental type of research in the form of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this study were all students in class VII of Junior high school 2 Piyungan with a sample of 64 students. The research instruments used were test instruments in the form of multiple choice questions and non-test instruments in the form of questionnaires. The data analysis technique used in the research is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential data analysis using the Paired Sample t-test and MANOVA test. The research results were analyzed using statistical analysis showing that the average value of learning motivation and learning outcomes for experimental class students was greater than that of the control class. These results are supported by the results of inferential analysis using the MANOVA test which shows a sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05. This means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, it can be said that the guided inquiry learning model influences student motivation and learning outcomes. This research can be used as a reference for further research regarding the influence of the guided inquiry learning model on student motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to examine the influence of teacher digital literacy and the use of media technology on students' ability to identify hoaxes in the digital era. Methodology: A mixed-method approach was employed, combining quantitative analysis using Multiple Linear Regression with Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) and qualitative analysis with the Miles and Huberman model through interviews with teachers. The research sample consisted of 50 teachers and 200 students from secondary schools in both urban and rural areas, selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument used a questionnaire and interview guide. Main Findings: The results indicated that both teacher digital literacy and the use of media technology positively influenced students' ability to identify hoaxes. Teachers with higher digital literacy levels were able to effectively use media technology to guide students in critical thinking and information verification. The use of media technology helped students compare information from different sources and better assess its validity. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study contributes to the field by exploring the combined impact of teacher digital literacy and media technology usage on students' ability to recognize and evaluate misinformation, addressing a critical issue in the context of education in the digital age.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of silica sand mass in the air purification system on the decrease in Fe concentration. The type of research used is experimental research. The water purification media used in the research were silica sand and gravel. The mass of gravel used in the water purification system is constant, namely 500 grams. The mass of silica sand used varies, namely 200 grams, 400 grams, 600 grams, 800 grams and 1000 grams. The research was carried out through three stages, namely the stages of preparation, implementation, and data collection. The effect of the mass of silica sand in the air purification system on decreasing the concentration of Fe showed positive results. The results of research with a fixed mass of gravel and varying masses of silica sand showed a decrease in Fe concentration after water purification with a value that met environmental health quality standards and water health requirements Fe (iron) content below 1 mg/L or ppm so that the water worth using.
