Abstract

A cylindrical inclusion model in a tissue matrix is proposed for biomedical elastography. Solutions of elasticity equation are applied to observe the effects of the inclusion on the distribution of a uniform stress given to the matrix. The inclusion and the matrix are assumed to be isotropic, homogen, and linear. The obtained analytical solutions are illustrated in the form of graphics for breast tumors and cysts. It is shown that the effects are located in the region less than 3R, with R being the inclusion radius. If the inclusion is stiffer than the matrix (µb>µt), then the displacement in z direction is negative and is positive in y direction. It means that the strain and stress components in z direction (ezz,szz) are negative and (eyy,syy) are positive in y direction. If the inclusion is softer than the matrix (µb>µt) then the displacement in z and y directions is negative. Therefore the strain and stress components in z direction and in y direction both are also negative.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan sikap siswa terhadap pelajaran fisika di SMA Kabupaten Batanghari, Beserta kendala yang dihadapi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif kuantitatif dengan prosedur penelitian survei. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 926 siswa SMA di Kabupaten Batanghari. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket dan lembar wawancara. Analisis data kuantitatif menggunakan descriptive statistic sedangkan analisis data kualitatif menggunakan teknik analisis data model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil dari 4 aspek indikator sikap yang dibahas pada penelitian ini adalah pada Indikator normalitas ilmuwan sebesar 8.3 % berkategori baik. Sedangkan adopsi dari sikap ilmiah sebesar 74% berkategori baik. Kemudian pada indikator ketertarikan memperbanyak waktu belajar fisika sebesar 57.9% siswa berkategori cukup, dan pada indikator ketertarikan berkarir di bidang fisika sebanyak 45% siswa juga berkategori cukup. This study is to find out the description of students attitudes toward physics subjects in Batanghari District High School, along with the constraints faced. This research is quantitative-qualitative research with survey research procedure. The subject of this research is 926 high school students in Batanghari District. The instruments used were questionnaires and interview sheets. Quantitative data analysis uses descriptive statistics while qualitative data analysis uses data analysis techniques modeled by Miles and Huberman. The results of the 4 aspects of attitude indicators discussed in this study are on indicators of normality of science as much as 58.3% in the good category. While the adoption of scientific attitudes as much as 74% categorized well. Then on the indicator of interest in increasing the time to study physics as much as 57.9% of students are categorized sufficiently, and on the indicator of interest in a career in the field of physics as much as 45% of students are also categorized as sufficient.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana sikap siswa terhadap mata pelajaran fisika SMA di Provinsi Jambi, serta kendala atau masalah yang dihadapi siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif kuantitatif yang menggunakan prosedur penelitian yaitu rancangan penelitian survei. Penelitian ini melibatkan 220 siswa SMA di Provinsi Jambi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket dengan teknik analisis data yaitu descriptive statistic untuk data kuantitatif menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil dari 3 indikator yang didiskusikan pada tulisan ini adalah indikator adopsi dari sikap ilmiah yaitu 47.3% siswa berkategori cukup baik. Indikator kesenangan dalam belajar fisika sebanyak 44.1% berkategori cukup baik. Indikator ketertarikan memperbanyak waktu belajar fisika sebesar 50.5% berkategori baik. The purpose of this study was to find out how the attitudes of students towards high school physics subjects in Jambi Province, as well as obstacles or problems faced by students. This type of research is quantitative qualitative which uses research procedures, namely survey research design. This study involved 220 high school students in Jambi Province. The instrument used was a questionnaire with data analysis techniques, namely descriptive statistics for quantitative data using descriptive statistics. The results of the 3 indicators discussed in this paper are indicators of adoption of scientific attitudes, namely 47.3% of students are categorized quite well. Indicators of pleasure in learning physics as much as 44.1% are categorized quite good. Indicator of interest in increasing physics learning time by 50.5% in good category.

Abstract

Assessment of Students' Attitudes towards Natural Sciences in Muaro Jambi District Junior High School. This study aims to determine the attitudes of junior high school students towards natural science subjects with three indicators adopted from TOSRA, namely 1) the normality of science scientists, 2) adoption of scientific attitudes, and 3) pleasure in learning science. The type of research used in this study is a type of survey research using quantitative research designs. This study was conducted in several junior high schools in Muaro Jambi Regency with a sample of 2815 students. The research sample was taken from 2 classes of class VII and VIII using total sampling technique in questionnaire distribution and purposive sampling for interviews. The results of the study of the three indicators show the dominant attitude in the good category. The normality of science scientists is in good category with a percentage of 52%. Adoption of scientific attitudes shows a good category with a percentage of categories 58.4%. The pleasure of learning science is well categorized with a percentage of 65.4%.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adakah perbandingan sikap siswa terhadap matapelajaran ilmu pengetahuan alam di SMP yang ada di Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri yang ada di Jambi. Secara khusus penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP N 04, SMP N 05, SMP N 06, SMP N 16, SMP N 26 yang ada di Jambi. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan cara menyebarkan angket kepada siswa. Teknik analisis data parametric dengan menggunakan uji one way anova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbandingan sikap siswa terhadap matapelajaran illmu pengetahuan alam di beberapa indicator sikap yang diteliti. Pada indikator adopsi dari sikap ilmiah memiliki perbandingan dengan nilai sig (0.018 0.05) terdapat perbedaan, indicator kesenangan belajar IPA tidak memiliki perbandingan dengan sig (0,691 0.05) tidak terdapat perbedaan,  indicator ketertarikan  menambah waktu belajar IPA terdapat perbandingan dengan nilai sig (0.202 0.05) tidak terdapat perbedaan.Kata Kunci: Perbandingan Sikap, adopsi dari sikap ilmiah, kesenangan, ketertarikan menambah waktu belajar IPA ABSTRACT This study aims to determine whether there is a comparison of students' attitudes towards natural science subjects in junior high schools in Indonesia. This research was conducted at the Public Middle School in Jambi. Specifically, this research was conducted in SMP N 04, SMP N 05, SMP N 06, SMP N 16, SMP N 26 in Jambi. Research data is obtained by distributing questionnaires to students. Parametric data analysis techniques using one way ANOVA test. The results of the study show that there are comparisons of student attitudes towards the illiteracy of natural knowledge at some indicators of the attitude under study. On the adoption indicator of scientific attitudes there is a comparison with the sig value (0.018 0.05) there are differences, the science learning pleasure indicator does not have a comparison with sig (0.691 0.05) there is no difference, indicators of interest increase science learning time 0.05) there is no difference.Keywords: Attitude Comparison, adoption of scientific attitudes, pleasure, interest in increasing science learning time

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana sikap siswa SMP terhadap IPA pada tiga indikator yang diadopsi dari TOSRA yaitu implikasi sosial dari IPA, ketertarikan menambah waktu belajar IPA, ketertarikan berkarir dibidang IPA. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 2815 siswa dari total keseluruhan. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian survei. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket sikap. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan tiga dimensi sikap yang diukur tidak memiliki kaitan yang relevan, hal ini disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yang berpengaruh di dalamnya. Faktor tersebut salah satunya adalah faktor guru pengampu IPA dan faktor perkembangan teknologi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe student attitudes toward physics based on the indicators of scientific normality, attitudes toward inquiry in physics and adoption of students' scientific attitudes. The type of research used is quantitative type with survey method. This research subject are 235 students from science major in Senior High School 11 Jambi city. The instruments in this research is a questioner by Darmawangsa (2018). The results show that attitudes of high school 11 students tend to be good with a scientific normality category of 47%, attitudes toward inquiry in physics by 53% and adoption of scientific attitudes by 63%

Abstract

This study aims to examine the activeness of student learning towards science subjects in junior high school. The research method used was a mixed research method with an explanatory design. The subjects were students of junior high school amounted to 148 students. The analysis of data using statistical techniques descriptive for quantitative data and analysis Miles Huberman for qualitative data. The results of the five indicators show that students are categorized as having good learning activeness on the indicator "High Curiosity (45,3%)" "Dare to Take Risks (73,7 %) ". "Wanted for New Experiences (55,4 %)". And "Proactive (57,4 %)". Then, students are categorized as having sufficient learning activeness on the indicator "Never Give Up (45,3 %)". The high percentage of the five indicators is supported by the results of interviews stating that students have a high curiosity seen from students who is actively asking questions and also not only rely on the material provided by the teacher, students have dared to make their own decisions and dare to face the problems given by the teacher without fear of being wrong, students are enthusiastic in conducting experiments or experiments because through theoretical experiments can be easier to understand and through experiments learning experiences can be obtained directly, and students are always looking for opportunities to learn and involved in learning activities, and students have a high enthusiasm for learning science but they are not confident in their abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the correlation of students' perceptions of e-module toward students' basic science process skills. The subject of the study were second semester students of Department of Physics Education in Universitas Jambi. This research used a mixed-method research with data collection instruments consisting of student perception questionnaire, observation sheet of students' science process skills, and also interviews. From the results of data analysis, students' perceptions were in the good category with an average of 74.95, and the basic science process skills of students were also in the good category with an average of 69.08. Based on the correlation test conducted there is a significant relationship between the level of student perception of e-module with students’ basic science process skills using Pearson correlation values 0,927, and Sig. (2-tailed) 0.00 at a significance of 1%.

Abstract

Education is a conscious effort through planning that is prepared by considering various aspects that are important for developing student potential. One of the efforts can be made is implementing a cooperative learning model. This study aims to determine the differences in the results of the application of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model and role playing in physics as well as student responses to the application of the two learning models. This research procedure uses mixed methods using quantitative data obtained by questionnaires, qualitative data is obtained by conducting interviews. The results showed that there were still many students who responded well to the application of the jigsaw cooperative learning model in learning physics but in contrast to student responses to role playing learning. This study aims to determine student responses to the implementation of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model and role playing in physics subjects and to determine the differences in the application of those two models in physics subjects. The novelty of this study is to describe student learning outcomes with the physics learning process and student responses when using the jigsaw cooperative learning model and the role-playing model in physics to make it easier for students to learn and understand concepts and formulas in physics learning. The results showed that many students responded to the application of the jigsaw cooperative learning model and the role-playing learning model in physics learning well. The novelty of this research is that it can improve students' attitudes towards physics by using the jigsaw cooperative learning model and the role playing model.
