Abstract

Despite significant progress in gender equality, women continue to face underrepresentation in leadership roles, with many opting out of corporate careers due to persistent barriers. This is concerning, as the career advancement of women depends on their ability to stay engaged and perform effectively in the workplace which continues to adopt digital innovations. The study examines the critical role of Psychological Capital (PsyCap) in empowering female managers, especially as organizations continue to embrace digital innovations. The study also explores how Leader-Member Exchange (LMX) strengthens this relationship, contributing to performance and engagement in the workplace. This study was conducted in two subsidiaries of a multinational company, in India and Indonesia. We applied a mixed method with quantitative analysis from 104 completed questionnaires, and qualitative analysis from interviewing a total of 13 participants from both countries. The quantitative analysis shows that PsyCap plays a significant role in enhancing LMX, fostering DIB, and improving both performance and engagement. Qualitative findings highlight three core themes that emphasize how PsyCap supports female managers in navigating digital transformation challenges. This study examines PsyCap within the framework of LMX and DIB, highlighting the pivotal role of PsyCap and its dynamic interactions in enhancing the performance and engagement of female managers. Conducted in India and Indonesia, this study offers a unique cross-cultural perspective on the role of PsyCap in empowering female managers amidst digital innovation, addressing gaps in existing literature by focusing on South Asian contexts with low gender equality rankings.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of medication adherence, social support, health literacy, and physical activity on the improvement of quality of life, mediated by patient satisfaction in post-kidney transplant patients at XYZ Hospital Jakarta. The research explores the relationships between these variables, focusing on how patient satisfaction and adherence to treatment impact Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQoL). The study employs a quantitative, analytical survey with a cross-sectional approach, involving 162 patient respondents from a census sample. Data was collected using a Likert scale-based questionnaire, and analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0. The analysis included tests for validity, reliability, and several statistical assessments, such as collinearity, R-square, effect size, and predictive accuracy. The results indicate that four out of ten initial hypotheses were not significant, specifically regarding medication adherence. These findings highlight the importance of addressing patient compliance through improved social support and monitoring, as these factors significantly influence patient satisfaction and quality of life.

Abstract

study investigates the factors influencing patient satisfaction in the inpatient department of a private hospital in South Sumatra. Focusing on three key variables (nursing ratios, burnout, and interpersonal communication skills) this research explores their direct and mediated effects on patient satisfaction, with service quality serving as a mediating variable. The study employs a quantitative research method, utilizing a cross-sectional survey design. Data were collected from nurses working in the inpatient ward, with statistical analyses performed to identify relationships between the variables. The findings reveal significant correlations: higher nursing ratios and burnout negatively impact service quality and patient satisfaction, while effective interpersonal communication skills positively influence these outcomes. Service quality is shown to mediate the relationship between the independent variables and patient satisfaction, underscoring its critical role in healthcare delivery. These results provide actionable insights for hospital administrators, emphasizing the need to optimize staffing levels, address nurse burnout, and enhance communication skills to improve patient satisfaction. This research contributes to the academic understanding of patient satisfaction determinants in the context of Indonesian private healthcare and offers practical implications for improving hospital management and patient care strategies. The study highlights the importance of tailored interventions to address the unique challenges faced by private hospitals in South Sumatra.

Abstract

e beauty industry in Indonesia, including The Emdee Skin Clinic Palembang, is rapidly growing, yet faces challenges in maintaining patient loyalty, as evidenced by a 15.73% decrease in repeat visits from 2023 to 2024. This study investigates the influence of perceived quality, physical evidence, brand image, and customer satisfaction on patient loyalty. Using a quantitative approach with a Likert scale, 200 respondents who had undergone treatment more than once at the clinic were surveyed. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that perceived quality and physical evidence positively affect brand image and patient loyalty. Additionally, brand image significantly mediates the relationship between perceived quality and physical evidence on patient loyalty. This study highlights the importance for clinic managers to enhance service quality, improve facilities, and build a strong brand image to retain patient loyalty. Future research should focus on extending the data collection period, incorporating more variables, and involving a more diverse respondent pool.

Abstract

Access to health services is a critical factor in improving the well-being of low-socioeconomic status families. However, many families in Surakarta face challenges in utilizing healthcare services. The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between educational level, family economic status, and other demographic factors with their willingness to access health services at RSUD Dr. Moewardi, Surakarta. The purpose of this study is to determine how education, economic status, and demographics influence healthcare-seeking behavior among low-socioeconomic families, with the goal of improving healthcare accessibility and understanding barriers to usage. A quantitative approach was employed, using a Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) model. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire distributed to 116 respondents from low-socioeconomic families in Surakarta, with a focus on education, income, and healthcare-seeking behavior. The data were analyzed using SPSS to identify relationships between variables. The analysis showed significant differences in healthcare access behavior based on educational level, with families possessing higher education levels being more likely to utilize healthcare services. Economic factors were also identified as a strong predictor of healthcare access willingness. The study highlights the importance of addressing educational and economic barriers to improve access to health services for low-socioeconomic families. Policymakers must consider these factors when developing healthcare programs aimed at increasing participation from marginalized groups.
