Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the influence of servant leadership, personality, work motivation and trust on the professional commitment of elementary school teachers. The research, conducted in 157 accredited "A" public elementary schools in Depok City, involved 1,170 teachers. The one-year study utilized survey methods and a quantitative approach, focusing on causal relationships among variables. Variables studied included professional commitment (Y), servant leadership (X1), personality (X2), work motivation (X3), and trust (X4). Path analysis separated direct and indirect effects of independent variables on the dependent variable, seeking optimal strategies to enhance teachers' professional commitment. Results indicate that strengthening servant leadership, personality, work motivation, and trust directly enhances professional commitment, with indirect influence through trust and work motivation. Recommendations include improving indicators in weak variables, emphasizing sincerity in tasks, love for the job, and feedback. Optimal strategies involve improvements in servant leadership, trust, and work motivation to enhance professional commitment, providing clear guidance for implementation in the context of the research.

Abstract

The research objective was to improve the understanding and creative thinking skills of elementary teacher education college student as prospective teachers in following science courses. The research design used is to make college student groups into small groups. During the learning process, observations about college student cooperation during learning with multimedia media were carried out to assess their understanding and creative thinking skills. The results of the observations of each cycle were evaluated as material for reflection in the next cycle to improve college student understanding and creative thinking skills in accordance with predetermined targets. Data analysis was carried out by descriptive quantitative. From the results of the T-test, it was found that there were significant differences. This means that understanding of concepts and Science Process Skills increases after prospective teacher college student experience the science learning process using multimedia learning media. From the results, the average value of understanding the concept increased from 53.61 % to 89.78%.  and science process skills increased the average value from 43.57 to 87.32.  92% of college student gave a positive response, namely agreeing and strongly agreeing that the science lecture process using multimedia learning media can improve science process skills and understanding of material in science subjects for elementary teacher education college student

Abstract

Biology learning needs to support sustainable development. This research was a quantitative-qualitative sequential explanatory mixed research. This research aimed to obtain information about the relationship between naturalist intelligence and environmental responsibility behavior. This research was conducted in February-August 2019. Quantitative research data were obtained by using a questionnaire with a Likert scale for the variables. Qualitative research data were obtained by doing interviews and observations. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistic calculation. The data hypothesis was tested by using a correlation test with the Product Moment Pearson formula. The result of this research showed that there was a positive relationship between naturalist intelligence and environmentally responsible behavior with regress equation Ŷ = 20.331 + 0,7524X. Correlation coefficient (r) = 0.66 and determination coefficient (r²) = 43.56% meant that the interpretation value was strong. r² value means that 43.56% environmentally responsible behavior correlates by naturalist intelligence and 56.44% environmentally responsible behavior is influenced by other factors. Biology learning must have a role to be able to provide innovations related to increasing students' knowledge about the environment. This study concludes that there is a correlation between the two variables.

Abstract

This study aims to identify effective strategies for enhancing teacher innovation in the context of 21st-century learning by examining the mediating influence of technological literacy and the direct impact of reading culture. Employing a mixed-methods approach that integrates quantitative and qualitative techniques with path analysis, the research was conducted from April to August 2023 in Depok City, Indonesia, involving 231 elementary school teachers selected through proportional random sampling from a total population of 1,740 teachers. The findings reveal that a strong reading culture significantly contributes to fostering teacher innovation (path coefficient = 0.316), while technological literacy also exerts a positive direct effect on innovation (path coefficient = 0.084). Additionally, reading culture positively influences technological literacy (path coefficient = 0.750), indicating that literacy development enhances teachers’ capacity to integrate technology effectively into their pedagogical practices. The study concludes that building a robust reading culture and improving technological literacy are key drivers for cultivating innovative teaching behaviors aligned with the demands of 21st-century education, where creativity, adaptability, and digital competence are critical for professional growth and instructional transformation.

Abstract

Teacher creativity in the learning process is actions that are deliberately taken by teachers to develop, convey and use new or different ideas from before in carrying out interactive, interesting and effective learning activities so as to improve learning outcomes.Based on the preliminary survey data, the above conditions can be concluded that the creativity of State MTs teachers in the work environment of the Ministry of Religion of East Jakarta City is still low. However, the improvement in question, especially in terms of increasing teacher creativity, requires sufficient time because it is related to various factors that influence it. These factors include; organizational culture, empowerment and visionary leadership of school principals. The population in this study were PNS MTs Negeri teachers in the East Jakarta City area, totaling 622 people from 17 schools. The sampling technique used is a random sampling technique (proportional random sampling). Samples were taken using the Taro Yamane formula with a sampling error rate of 5%. The results of the calculation of the number of samples are 243 people. The results showed: 1) There is a positive relationship between organizational culture and teacher creativity so that strengthening organizational culture can increase teacher creativity, 2). There is a positive relationship between empowerment and teacher creativity so that strengthening empowerment can increase teacher creativity, 3). There is a positive relationship between school principal's visionary leadership and teacher creativity so that strengthening principal's visionary leadership can increase teacher creativity, 4).
