Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of diversity of Troglobionts animals, species composition, species dominance, and uniformity in the Cave of Tajur Bogor, West Java. The variables in this study consisted of survey methods by calculating diversity, dominance, uniformity, and species composition to find out what types of animals are in the ecosystem of the cave. Based on the results of research on animal species found there were 10 species of biota belonging to 3 transects with a total of 88 species of cavernous biota. The sample in this study used the 10x10 M line transect method three times in different places. Determination of line transect measurements in this study is based on differences in the environmental zone at the outermost point or cave line which is the starting point of line transect measurement. The results of statistical calculations are obtained as follows: diversity biota index (H ') in the range of 0.4168-0.9684, the index of species composition (P) ranges between 0.2386-0.3861, the uniformity index (E) range between 0,4304-1, and the dominance of type (C) ranges between 5,2118-5,2118. Based on the calculation of diversity, composition, uniformity, and dominance of the type of biota in the area of Tajur Bogor, West Java, at the low-moderate level. Overall the types of biota found in this study were 3 transects, generally producing different amounts during the study, the total biota species found in the cave consisted of 88 individuals from 14 families and 14 species while the highest composition of biota types in transect III where of the 34 species found throughout the transect, 33 were in the second transect and the lowest was in transect I with only 21 species.

Abstract

Pandemic Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) is a non-natural disaster that occurs globally. Disaster mitigation efforts need to be made when entering a new normal life after the physical distancing policy is relaxed. The purpose of this study was to describe the knowledge and participation of students in disaster mitigation activities during the new normal period. The research method used descriptive, data collection techniques through Google Form with a sample of 54 students. The results showed that learning of disaster mitigation education is not maximally taught at the university level with a percentage of 57.4% for students, who did not receive disaster mitigation education. However, as many as 51.9% of students had attended training in disaster education. Disaster mitigation education was important to do when a new normal period. That is because students are one component that has a role to convey various information about the disaster, especially COVID-19. This study concludes that knowledge and student participation in disaster education still needs to be improved. The suggestion from this research was necessary to develop innovative learning tools for disaster mitigation education in the new normal era of COVID-19.

Abstract

Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kepemimpinan siswa di SMK Mahadika 2 melalui pendekatan ekologi yang terintegrasi dengan literasi. Dengan pendekatan ini, siswa dilibatkan dalam berbagai kegiatan yang memperkuat keterampilan kepemimpinan mereka sambil memahami pentingnya hubungan antara manusia dan lingkungan. Evaluasi awal menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa memiliki potensi kepemimpinan yang belum tergali secara optimal, sementara kemampuan literasi dan komunikasi siswa bervariasi. Namun, melalui pelatihan yang terstruktur dan berkelanjutan, terlihat peningkatan yang signifikan dalam keterampilan kepemimpinan dan kemampuan literasi siswa. Hasil evaluasi akhir menunjukkan bahwa siswa lebih percaya diri dalam mengambil inisiatif, memimpin diskusi, dan berkomunikasi secara efektif. Analisis data menyoroti efektivitas pendekatan ekologi dalam pengembangan kepemimpinan siswa serta relevansinya dengan literatur yang ada. Meskipun terdapat tantangan dan keterbatasan selama pelatihan, rekomendasi disusun untuk pengembangan program di masa depan, termasuk memperluas partisipasi siswa dan meningkatkan integrasi literasi dalam kurikulum sekolah. Dengan demikian, program ini bertujuan untuk membangun generasi pemimpin yang literat dan bertanggung jawab untuk masa depan yang lebih berkelanjutan. This community service program aims to improve students' leadership abilities at Mahadika 2 Vocational School through an integrated ecological approach with literacy. With this approach, students are involved in a variety of activities that strengthen their leadership skills while understanding the importance of the relationship between humans and the environment. Initial evaluation shows that the majority of students have leadership potential that has not been optimally explored, while students' literacy and communication abilities vary. However, through structured and ongoing training, significant improvements can be seen in students' leadership skills and literacy abilities. The final evaluation results show that students are more confident in taking initiative, leading discussions, and communicating effectively. Data analysis highlights the effectiveness of the ecological approach in student leadership development as well as its relevance to existing literature. Despite challenges and limitations during the training, recommendations were developed for future program development, including expanding student participation and increasing literacy integration in the school curriculum. Thus, this program aims to build a generation of literate and responsible leaders for a more sustainable future.

Abstract

Bank Sampah merupakan kegiatan yang menerapkan konsep 3R (Reduce, Reuse & Recycle) dalam pengolahan sampah kering atau sampah anorganik. Hasil sampah yang sudah dipilah-pilah lalu ditimbang dan ditukarkan dengan sistem manajemen meniru perbankan. Bank Sampah Bahagia Bersama adalah salah satu bank sampah yang terdapat di Kawasan padat penduduk di daerah Pasar Rebo Jakarta Timur. Permasalahan dari pihak bank sampah Bahagia Bersama adalah sistem penginputan dan pengolahan data masih dilakukan secara manual. Tujuan kegiatan PKM ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada mitra Bank Sampah Bahagia Bersama mengenai sistem pengolahan data bank sampah berbasis web. Luaran dalam kegiatan PKM ini adalah 1) Peningkatan keberdayaan mitra dalam bentuk peningkatan pengetahuan mitra terhadap penggunaan aplikasi bank sampah berbasis web. 2) Publikasi di Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat, 3) Video pelaksanaan kegiatan melalui channel youtube Haus Ilmu Official. 4) Buku Manual aplikasi bank sampah berbasis web.

Abstract

Muara Baru merupakan perairan yang menjadi wilayah sentra perikanan laut, kawasan industri, dan pemukiman warga. Kawasan ini memiliki kepadatan penduduk yang tinggi, sehingga menyebabkan kualitas air terus menurun dan muara mulai tercemar yang disebabkan tekanan dan kebutuhan penduduk. Pencemaran dapat terjadi secara biologis, kimia, maupun fisika. Kondisi perairan tercemar dapat dapat dilihat dari keberadaan mikroba patogen seperti bakteri Coliforrm, dikarenakan bakteri ini sering digunakan sebagai indikator kualitas air. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis keberadaan dan mengetahui total bakteri Coliform sebagai indikator pcemaran air sumur di Muara Baru. Metode analisis yang digunakan ialah Total Plate Count (TPC) dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan 10 sampel air sumur bor rumah penduduk di Muara Baru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh sampel air memiliki ambang batas cemaran mikroba yang berlebih dibandingkan standar ambang batasnya. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh jumlah koloni terendah dan tertinggi pada 2 sampel memiliki jumlah berturut-turut, yaitu 1,6 x 103 CFU/100 mL dan 8,0 x 104 CFU/100 mL. Jumlah koloni bakteri Coliform tersebut dapat mengkontaminasi biota-biota yang berada diperairan Muara Baru sehingga ketika biota tersebut dikonsumsi dapat menyebabkan gangguan kesehatan secara tak langsung kepada manusia.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and describe the mathematical concepts contained in the Joglo Traditional House in Jagalan sub-district (Omah UGM). The research method used is ethnomathematics with the research object being the Joglo Traditional House. Source of research data: research object, namely the Joglo traditional house, three sources consisting of: two managers and one elder, and related documents discussing the Joglo traditional house. Data collection techniques used: observation, interviews, and documentation. Research instruments used: observation guide, interview guide, and document study guide. Based on the research results obtained and data analysis, it was concluded that in the Joglo Traditional House there are mathematical concepts, namely: spatial shapes, flat shapes, lines, angles and geometric transformations

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi tentang pemanfaatan biogas sebagai energi terbarukan di Desa Banyumudal, Kecamatan Buayan, Kebumen, Jawa Tengah. Pemilihan desa ini didasarkan pada potensi besar limbah ternak yang ada di sekitar desa, yang selama ini belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Program ini mengedepankan penyuluhan yang melibatkan masyarakat secara aktif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan mereka mengenai manfaat biogas, serta cara-cara pengelolaannya yang ramah lingkungan. Melalui penyuluhan, masyarakat diharapkan dapat memahami pentingnya biogas sebagai sumber energi yang lebih bersih dibandingkan dengan penggunaan kayu bakar dan bahan bakar fosil lainnya. Hasil dari pelaksanaan penyuluhan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan masyarakat tentang biogas dan pengelolaan limbah. Masyarakat menunjukkan ketertarikan yang tinggi terhadap penerapan teknologi biogas. Secara kuantitatif, peningkatan dapat dilihat melalui data survei yang menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan masyarakat meningkat dari 30% menjadi 70%, yang merepresentasikan kenaikan sebesar 40%, meskipun tantangan terbesar adalah dalam implementasi praktis dan keberlanjutan penggunaan teknologi tersebut di tingkat rumah tangga. Oleh karena itu, saran untuk keberhasilan jangka panjang meliputi pendampingan berkelanjutan, kebijakan yang mendukung, dan kolaborasi dengan pihak swasta.  This community service program aims to provide education about the use of biogas as renewable energy in Banyumudal Village, Buayan District, Kebumen, Central Java. The selection of this village was based on the large potential of livestock waste around the village, which so far has not been utilized optimally. This program prioritizes outreach that actively involves the community to increase their knowledge about the benefits of biogas, as well as environmentally friendly ways of managing it. Through outreach, it is hoped that the public can understand the importance of biogas as a cleaner energy source compared to the use of firewood and other fossil fuels. The results of the outreach show a significant increase in public knowledge about biogas and waste management. The public shows high interest in the application of biogas technology. Quantitatively, the improvement can be seen through survey data which shows that public knowledge increased from 30% to 70%, which represents an increase of 40%, although the biggest challenge is in the practical implementation and continued use of this technology at the household level. Therefore, suggestions for long-term success include ongoing assistance, supportive policies, and collaboration with the private sector.

Abstract

It is important to study the basic anatomy of pollen, pistils and midribs of bougainvillea flowers to improve the quality of plant reproduction, breeding and improving varieties, as well as optimizing the use of bougainvillea as ornamental plants. Bougainvillea plants have various varieties, there are three varieties sampled in this research, namely pink paper flowers (Bougainvillea bambino baby lauren), orange paper flowers (Bougainvillea afterglow), and purple paper flowers (Bougainvillea barbara karst). This research aims to determine the anatomical structure of pollen, stigma and midrib of bougainvillea plants.  This research method uses descriptive methods. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling and sample measurement under a light microscope with 10x magnification. The results of the research show that three varieties of paper flowers, namely Bougainvillea bambino baby lauren, Bougainvillea afterglow, and Bougainvillea barbara karst, all three have pollen that allows the trichoporate type, with finger-shaped, rather slender, and elongated stigmas. then the long petals are orange, pointed or slightly curved, and layered around the original flower. Furthermore, the stigma of each flower has a color that matches the color of the sheath. This research provides a reference for bougainvillea flower variability, reproductive ecology, and genetics in context and conservation.

Abstract

Biology learning needs to support sustainable development. This research was a quantitative-qualitative sequential explanatory mixed research. This research aimed to obtain information about the relationship between naturalist intelligence and environmental responsibility behavior. This research was conducted in February-August 2019. Quantitative research data were obtained by using a questionnaire with a Likert scale for the variables. Qualitative research data were obtained by doing interviews and observations. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistic calculation. The data hypothesis was tested by using a correlation test with the Product Moment Pearson formula. The result of this research showed that there was a positive relationship between naturalist intelligence and environmentally responsible behavior with regress equation Ŷ = 20.331 + 0,7524X. Correlation coefficient (r) = 0.66 and determination coefficient (r²) = 43.56% meant that the interpretation value was strong. r² value means that 43.56% environmentally responsible behavior correlates by naturalist intelligence and 56.44% environmentally responsible behavior is influenced by other factors. Biology learning must have a role to be able to provide innovations related to increasing students' knowledge about the environment. This study concludes that there is a correlation between the two variables.
