Abstract

This research aims to develop VR in renewable energy materials (VIRRE) to increase students’ concept understanding and learning motivation. This research used Research and Development (R&D) method through ADDIE development model. Validation was carried out to determine the feasibility of VIRRE, then implemented in secondary school students by using problem-based learning model throughout three meetings. Research data was collected through questionnaires and pretest-posttest during classroom learning. The results show that VIRRE has a validity percentage of 94.07% with very valid criteria. The effectiveness of VIRRE media in increasing students' concept understanding and learning motivation is included in medium criteria with n-gain scores of 0.52 and 0.33 respectively. Additionally, VIRRE usage in learning activities showed the most improved indicator of concept understanding and aspect of learning motivation, namely classifying and self-confidence respectively. Moreover, the result indicates that both concept understanding and learning motivation are related to each other, once students are motivated to learn the subject, they can achieve a great understanding of its concept. VIRRE received very good responses from students in aspects of learning activities, materials, and media use with average percentages of 82.22%, 82.7%, and 84.23% respectively. Thus, VR could be an alternative media learning to support educators in delivering physics materials, which are viewed as complicated concepts according to the students.

Abstract

Objective:  This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of the Dhysning (Dynamic Hybrid System for Integrating Glocal Wisdom) application, which integrates the local wisdom of the Boranan Lamongan Dance into physics learning, specifically on the topic of rigid body equilibrium. Method: The development of the Dhysning application followed the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, and Development). The application was designed using Adobe Flash CS6 and included teaching modules, interactive multimedia, student worksheets, virtual laboratory simulations, and quizzes. The research was conducted through a limited trial involving three classes and three physics teachers at senior high school. Data were collected through response questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics and Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) to examine the construct validity and reliability of student responses. Results: The results show that the application effectively supports science learning with strong student engagement. The Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) measure of 0.638 and Bartlett's test of significance (p < 0.001) confirmed the suitability of the data for factor analysis. Eight factors were extracted, explaining 78.63% of the total variance, with an overall Cronbach's Alpha of 0.884, indicating high internal consistency. Students showed positive responses toward the contextual content, visual interactivity, and cultural relevance of the learning media. Novelty: This study introduces a glocalized science learning approach by incorporating regional cultural elements into physics education through interactive technology. It bridges local cultural identity with global scientific competencies, fostering deeper student engagement and scientific literacy in a unique and meaningful way.

Abstract

Objective:   This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the development of TITANICS media (Three-Dimensional Interactive Animation of Thermodynamics) in improving students' cognitive learning outcomes. This is based on the need for future innovative learning strategies that integrate digital technology into educational institutions. Method: This research uses a development approach using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The sample consisted of 28 students from class XI Science 1 at Trensains Tebuireng High School, selected through purposive sampling. Results:Based on the data and analysis conducted, it can be concluded that the TITANICS learning media (Three-Dimensional Interactive Animation of Thermodynamics) is effective in improving students' cognitive learning outcomes in thermodynamics. Novelty: This study presents the development of digital media featuring 3D animation, formed into interactive videos that include educational content and quiz questions contextualized with real-life applications of thermodynamic concepts.

Abstract

Rapid changes in technology affect curriculum changes. The Indonesian curriculum that is currently running, namely the independent learning curriculum (MBKM), provides an opportunity for researchers to study educational curriculum design. This research aims to analyze the development of the local wisdom curriculum in the Industrial Era 4.0, analyze the design of the local wisdom industry 4.0 curriculum against the curriculum that has been put forward by researchers, and analyze it in the independent learning curriculum. This type of research is a study of curriculum development design literature. The results of the analysis show that the Local Wisdom Industry 4.0 curriculum model is a curriculum model developed based on local wisdom with each curriculum implementation process structured starting from curriculum objectives, content, processes, outcomes, and evaluation processes implemented according to developments in the Industry 4.0 era. This model was developed by integrating the Tyler model curriculum and the Hawes model and emphasizing curriculum objectives and learning processes.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of toy exploration on the critical thinking and speaking skills of children ages 3-4. Understanding how toy explorations influences these abilities is crucial for parents and educators to support children’s cognitive and communication development effectively. This study processes data using a quasi-experimental approach using JASP. There are 29 participants in this study, and the sample is made up of kids between the ages of 3 and 4. With the experimental group achieving higher ratings of 6.46 and 9 than the control group, the data show that the p-score was less than 0.001. It can be inferred that toy exploration activities have an impact on children's critical thinking and speaking skills between the ages of three and four.

Abstract

Quality education is characterized by the good science literacy skills of students. However, PISA results show that the science literacy of students in Indonesia is still low, which is caused by less interesting learning and a lack of interactivity. One relevant solution is to develop contextual and interactive physics learning tools by integrating local wisdom. Therefore, this study aims to develop and test the validity of the physics module based on gamelan local wisdom and determine the response of students to its use to improve science literacy: This research employed the Research and Development approach utilizing the ADDIE framework, which includes Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The product developed was a physics e-module integrated with Gamelan local wisdom which was validated by experts and tested on students. Results: The module obtained a very valid category from the aspects of content, language, and design. Learners' responses showed that the module was interesting, easy to understand, and improved science literacy skills. Novelty: The integration of gamelan as a form of ethnophysics in the physics module provides a contextual learning experience and encourages the preservation of local culture. This study analyzed the validity and students' response to the physics module based on gamelan.
