Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan kesadaran pentingnya daur ulang limbah pakaian dan mengaktifkan kembali geliat usaha pembuatan tas Banjaragung dengan tampilan dan konsep baru yang lebih inovatif dan berbeda dengan yang lain. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat membuka peluang usaha bagi Ibu-Ibu PKK di desa Banjaragung. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah community based participatory action yang terdiri atas tiga tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah ibu-ibu PKK desa Banjaragung yang memiliki kemampuan menjahit dan mantan pelaku usaha pembuatan tas dari bahan sintetis khas Banjaragung. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian berjalan dengan lancar dan dapat mencapai tujuan pengabdian yang diharapkan. Respon peserta juga sangat baik dan antusias selama pelaksanaan pelatihan. Tindak lanjut dari pelatihan ini tetap harus dilakukan agar tercapai tujuan jangka panjang yang maksimal bagi masyarakat Desa Banjaragung.

Abstract

Self-discipline is the ability of individuals to control themselves and act in accordance with the values they believe in. This study aims to determine the difference in the level of self-discipline between students in general elementary schools and religious-based elementary schools. This research is a comparative research with quantitative approach. The population in this study were 6th grade elementary and MI students in Jombang Regency. The sampling technique used purposive random sampling with a sample size of 100 students, where 50 students came from general elementary schools or SDN and 50 students came from religious-based elementary schools or MI. The technique used to collect data is a questionnaire. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics using the t-test. The results obtained through descriptive analysis show that the average self-discipline character of religious-based elementary school students is higher than the average self-discipline character of general elementary school students. Before hypothesis testing, normality and homogeneity tests were conducted to ensure that the data were normal and homogeneous. The results of data hypothesis testing using t-test obtained Sig (2-tailed) value α (0.045 0.05). These results indicate that there is a significant difference in the level of self-discipline between the two groups of students.

Abstract

Matematika merupakan mata pelajaran yang dapat menunjang kemajuan pendidikan di Indonesia. Namun, banyak peserta didik menganggap bahwa matematika sebagai pelajaran yang sulit dan menakutkan. Sebagian masyarakat juga menganggap bahwa matematika hanya suatu pelajaran di sekolah saja. Dari permasalahan itulah, diperlukan sebuah solusi dan inovasi baru dalam pembelajaran matematika sebagai upaya agar peserta didik menjadi tertarik untuk belajar matematika, salah satunya adalah dengan mengembangkan pelajaran matematika yang berkaitan dengan budaya atau lebih dikenal dengan etnomatematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola geometri dalam arsitektur Masjid Moeldoko, proporsi matematika dalam desain arsitektur, dan nilai filosofis dan matematika yang terdapat dalam Masjid Moeldoko. Penelitian ini menggunakan model deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu arsitektur masjid dapat menjadi media pembelajaran matematika yang kontekstual dan menyenangkan, sekaligus memberikan wawasan tentang hubungan erat antara matematika, budaya, dan spiritualitas. Rencana tahapan selanjutnya yaitu penelitian ini akan dilanjutkan dengan tahapan strategis yang lebih terarah, yaitu pengumpulan data primer melalui studi lapangan di Masjid Dr. H. Moeldoko.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the self-discipline character of elementary school students in Jombang, in terms of delay of gratification, self-control, and self-regulation. Self-discipline is an important factor that supports students‘ learning success, as it is directly related to student's ability to organise themselves to follow school rules and achieve academic goals. Data were collected through distributing questionnaires to elementary school students spread across several schools in Jombang. The research method used was descriptive quantitative with a survey approach. This involved designing a questionnaire that measured the three aspects of self-discipline, distributing it to a representative sample of 200 students, and then analyzing the responses using descriptive statistical techniques. The results showed that primary school students in Jombang generally have a fairly good level of self-discipline. The self-control aspect shows the highest score, followed by self-regulation, while the delay of gratification aspect tends to be lower. The findings indicate that although students can control themselves and regulate their behaviour, they still need to improve in delaying gratification to achieve greater goals. The implications of this study emphasise the importance of self-discipline development programmes in primary schools that focus on self-control and behaviour regulation and improving delay of gratification. Interventions designed with attention to all three aspects can help students develop more holistic self-discipline skills, which in turn supports their future success

Abstract

Pengawasan orang tua dalam pendampingan pembelajaran digital.pada anak usia dini sangat diperlukan agar anak tidak melakukan hal-hallyang tidak diinginkan. Apalagi anak zaman sekarang sudah mulai untuk mengenal penggunaan gadget yang sangat berlebihan sehingga tanpa adanya pengawasan ketat dari oranggtua akan mengakibatkan kondisi yang buruk pada anak. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptiffkualitatif. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif. Subyekkpenelitian ini adalah orang tua dari 3 anakkusia dini di Desa Gedangan Mojowarno Jombang. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara. Metode pengumpulan menggunakan data primer dan data sekunder. Hasil dari penelitian yaitu diketahui bahwa dengan adanya pembelajaran digital anak lebih cepat untuk memahami materi yang berada di dalam media digital. Dikarenakan anak usia dini yang lebih banyak untuk melihat dan mendengarkan video maka pendampingan orang tua dalam pembelajaran digital sangat lebih mudah untuk mengarahkan anak ke hal-hal yang lebih positif. Sehingga dengan adanya pembelajaran digital pada anak usia dini peran pendampingan orang tua sangat dibutuhkan dalam hal pengawasan dari penggunaan media digital.

Abstract

Character education and good morals are the main foundations in shaping a superior generation that is not only intellectually intelligent, but also ethical, moral, and socially minded. Early Childhood Education (PAUD) and Al-Qur'an Education Parks (TPQ) are strategic environments for instilling these values from an early age. However, many teachers in PAUD and TPQ institutions still lack adequate understanding and pedagogical skills in integrating character values into the learning process. This community service activity aims to enhance the capacity of PAUD and TPQ teachers in Mojoagung Sub-district, Jombang, through training in character education and noble moral values for children. The implementation methods include participatory training with an interactive approach, group discussions, simulations, case studies, and post-training online mentoring. A total of 40 participants enthusiastically joined the activity. Data was collected through observation, feedback questionnaires, and unstructured interviews. The training results demonstrated an increase in participants' understanding of character education concepts and practices, as well as their enthusiasm to implement them in educational activities. Challenges such as time constraints and diverse participant backgrounds were successfully addressed through flexible approaches and intensive communication. This activity demonstrated that character education training can make a significant contribution to strengthening teachers' understanding of their role as agents in shaping the next generation into individuals of character and noble ethics.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to strengthen the digital literacy of students at Darul Ulum 2 Jombang Junior High School through the use of the GeoGebra application in mathematics learning. In this digital age, digital literacy is an essential competency, and its integration into mathematics learning has been proven to improve understanding of abstract concepts. The implementation method adopts the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach with five stages: to know, to understand, to plan, to act, and to change, emphasising active collaboration with the school and students. Evaluation was conducted using pre-tests and post-tests to measure improvements in digital literacy and mathematical understanding, as well as a questionnaire on participants' responses to the method, materials, and facilitators. The results of the pre-test and post-test showed a significant increase in the average student scores, indicating that the training successfully improved their knowledge and skills in both areas. Specifically, the indicator for the ability to use GeoGebra showed the highest increase. Participants' feedback on the method, materials, and facilitators was also very positive, highlighting the effectiveness of the hands-on approach and the relevance of the materials presented. The quality of competent and responsive facilitators was also a key factor in the success of the programme. This initiative successfully demonstrated that the effective integration of the GeoGebra application can be a powerful strategy for enhancing students' digital literacy and mathematical understanding. Additionally, the use of this technology successfully increased students' interest and motivation to learn, equipping them with relevant digital skills to tackle current and future learning challenges.

Abstract

Low mathematics learning outcomes among students are often caused by a lack of interest and active involvement in the learning process. Monotonous teaching methods and a lack of innovative media make it difficult for students to understand abstract mathematical concepts. Therefore, more interactive and enjoyable learning strategies are needed. One potential medium that can be used is Role Playing Games (RPGs), which allow students to learn while playing roles in educational scenarios. This study aims to determine the effect of using RPG learning media on the mathematics learning outcomes of eighth-grade students at SMP Islam Cendekia Harapan Jombang. This study employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design of the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample consists of 19 students selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument is a mathematics learning achievement test comprising 20 multiple-choice questions, which has been validated by experts. Data were analysed using a paired sample t-test with the assistance of SPSS. The analysis results showed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores, with a significance level of 0.047 (p 0.05). Thus, the use of RPG media was proven effective in improving students' mathematics learning outcomes. RPG was able to create a more active, engaging, and contextual learning environment, thereby fostering a deeper understanding of concepts.

Abstract

Melibatkan unsur budaya dalam pembelajaran adalah salah satu bentuk pengintegrasian  literasi matematika. Pembelajaran matematika berbasis budaya (etnomatematika) merupakan cara menciptakan pembelajaran matematika yang lebih bermakna dan kontekstual. Generalisai sebagai denyut jantung dari matematika adalah satu cara melatih siswa terbiasa dengan literasi matematika. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui kemampuan literasi matematika siswa MA dalam menyelesaikan masalah pola bilangan berbasis etnomatika budaya Jombang.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa MAN 4 Jombang kelas XI yang memiliki kemampuan matematika dan komunikasi matematis baik. Instrumen penlitian berupa tes penyelesaian masalah pola bilangan yang berbasis etnomatika budaya jombang. Instrumen lain yang mendukung adalah pedoman wawancara. Data dianalisis dan disimpulkan menggunakan kerangka teori literasi matematika siswa pada masalah pola bilangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa subjek dapat melampui ketiga komponen literasi matematika dengan baik. Subjek merumuskan situasi secara matematis dengan baik melalui informasi yang didapat dari soal. Subjek dapat menerapkan konsep matematika, fakta, prosedur dan penalaran matematika yang sesuai untuk membuat solusi atas masalahyang diberikan. Siswa juga berhasil menafsirkan, menerapkan dan mengevaluasi hasil matematika yang di dapat pada saat menjawab poin pertanyaan inti pada masalah yang diberikan.
